I know this quest from 2-3 years ago and i also ended up there without any continuation. Unfinished quests are the one true constant in this game. And it seems it still hasn't gotten any updates on this.
In the VH assembla there are still guys doing translations for this game although i think it would be better they would tranfer their translation efforts to newer games that are alive and not already dead.
It's not that i don't like VH, i believe it had the greatest potential as a Hrpg but after so much time and practically no real effort from the creator(s) it's just a sad antiquity.

2-3 years? Damn. I have never ran into this quest before even though it has been in the game for so long? Well, okay, it is pretty random and you get it from a similarly random, unassuming NPC, but still... -.-'

As for the development, I think the biggest problem is that the developer(s) fell into the trap of constantly remaking already existing content instead of creating new ones (or even finishing up half-done quests and areas). The game is still pretty fun even today, but I have to admit it often feels like it is spread way too thin, especially after finishing up the first town.

I believe game is arround since 2008 or something like that.

Heyo guys. In a fit of nostalgia I decided to download the latest version of VH, and it is as much fun as it used to be. However, I ran into a quest I haven't seen before and I cannot find any info about it on the wiki:

If you talk to the old man right inside the entrance of the Capital (where you end up after you leave the Horse Train Station), he asks you to look for his lost granddaughter, Pandik. He gives a description and tells you to look around the bakery. People there tell you that there were people from the slums in the area, and if you move over there and talk to the ruffians in the slums, you learn that the girl was probably captured by the nobles running the sex-club under the porn shop. To get the info, Nanako has to blow three ruffians, plus have sex with a fourth one to get the fake VIP card.

So I get the VIP card, get the membership card, get into the sex club (which, by the way, has way more H-content than I remembered, and a ton of BDSM stuff), then I go into the VIP area... and nothing. I cannot find the girl anywhere. Is this an incomplete quest, or did I miss anything?

The end of this quest is not implemented yet and will probably never be as I ran into this scenario more than a 1 year ago.

VH is great it's a shame some really interesting quest will never be finished or get broken with updates.
That's the case for the succubus quest (witch hut) and the birth of the demon lord that used to follow it (100 men seamen bag)...

So, I apologize in advance if I sound like an idiot, but could someone help me figure out why I got this error? I only get it in the 161204 and 161217 translated versions. Thank you in advance.

So I got an oddly specific request if anyone can indulge me.
I'm looking for a version of VH from before they changed the Orc Kingdom quest to include Bell following Elmire into the abandoned city where you have too fight orcs.
I personally preferred the gameover scene when only Elmire was in it, and I'll be damned if I can find one of those versions. xD

So if anyone happens to have it (And I doubt it cause that version is years old) would they kindly upload and share it with me?

If you can tell me what version that was, I can check if it exists at the location I get my updates from. I wont give you a link, but I can at least let you know if it can still be found.

Some file(s) missing I guess. Usually this solved by downloading Japanese version with right number, unpack and then overwrite it with translated.

Tried that. Literally had the exact same error come up.

Something big must have changed between mid-September and mid-December in the files. For some reason I have just shy of 800 files without an extension of any type. Does anyone else have the problem I'm having in version 161217? Because I've not had this many issues just trying to START the game before...

Also, I'm getting this error now. Any idea what files are missing this time? Or perhaps everything has been re-named...

that isn't the case with this specific game, the changes come VERY slowly and any problem you may have may legitimatly exist almost a year down the line

Yeah, another issue is that independent developers have on and off enthusiasm for finishing their game. Once the mechanics and the story is done, the rest is ironing out the bugs, which has the 80-20 rule for development.

The devs of VH have the same enthusiasm levels (or lack off) as the dev(s) of DnP, Le Dernier Chevalier, CircleKame, etc.

Can't say I'm too surprised, or blame them too much since they are independent, small time devs. But still, it's really upsetting for fans to see their most anticipated games get stuck in development hell.

The translation for VH has finally caught up with the latest patch (Ver. 170227). About the only thing left is retranslation of the graphics from the redone title system.

Last version I played was 170122 and due to some files having japanese names, without ntleas/applocale it couldn't find those and crashed for me.
So I assume this won't change in 170227.
Not that it's a big deal.

I honestly thought this game was dead. Last time I checked there was the a twintail girl that was added but she only had like 1 or 2 sex scene.

According to the translation site, supposedly 99.2%. I think this only applies to the regular game and not Katteban though.

I've never really bothered with this game because the wiki has had the same info listed for 5 years. I can't tell if nothing is getting added or the wiki isn't getting updated. The world is so huge in this game that I feel like I'd never be able to find anything on my own.

You'll be able to find plenty if you download the translated version.

Have they fixed any of the various things they broke when they tried to change to an entirely new script mechanism for everything?
