Re: [Request] North Pole Glory Hole

Technically speaking, that would mean a large portion of hentai can be traced to an original creator, no?

I mean a large portion of hentai is already based on pre-existing characters.

That's where it gets tricky. At least when a character is a identical or near identical replica, it's just a matter of proving ownership.

But actually proving that a certain character who bears a strong resemblance to another pre-existing character is similar enough to constitute stolen gets messy. That's where both the plaintiff and the defence hire their own expert analysts, who each testify for the sides, it goes back and forth for who knows how long, and then it's settled out of court behind closed doors.

Like I said, it's probably more expensive than either party in this industry can afford.

Really? Then why did I not notice this until now in h-game industry? One text based after another, almost no improvement.
The improvement lies in the top tier, higher the level grows more low quality stuff will show up as a byproduct, anyway text based games are story driven, since you can't follow the story it's obvious you can't perceive the growth.:)

...Test based=phail...There's just no justifying, no if's and's or butts about it... Any yahoo can take a few pictures, string em' together and write stuff about em'. The reason we don't see better is because better means time consuming + effort(a lot!) And futhermore, it just seems un-orthodox to stand atop a hill and shout! "I've made a hentai game and I challenge you to make better!" ...and even moreso for a competitior to come about and say "AHA! I accept your challenge and will make better hentai!".....Well...here anyway...I dunno about in Japan...

Re: [Request] North Pole Glory Hole

What improvements do you even seek in text and CG based games?(btw, can anyone tell me why people here aren't using term "Visual Novel"?).It's like demanding improvements in manga or books - the every next story or drawing must be better than previous? That's ridiculous.

Visual Novels are big part of H-game industry only because they are easiest to make(mostly), and their main(and that means 95%,if not more) and steady market is Japan - the origins of all H-games.And only when japanese people stop bying those VN's because of their bad quality(which is never, because it's like reading a newspaper for them), you can talk of some kind of improvement in overall. Now name more than five visual novels with h-content( without, I think I can name three), that weren't made in Japan(and I don't mean translated), and you may continue your critique.

And if you looking for improvement in more gameplay-oriented games, look at big companies(take Alicesoft and their Rance series, for ex.), not at free one/two people made games.Hell, even small circles, like Masurao, take time and effort to make their next game better(or at least, not worse).

returning to topic: I agree that Meet'n'Fuck are rip-offs, but this game stands out, in a good way. Seen some talks here and there about some people cracking M'n'F games specifically - could someone elaborate, maybe some links?

Re: [Request] North Pole Glory Hole

I only mentioned text based games or visual novels because thats what the industry is so overflown with. And what improvement?

Well on the genre? I don't care about visual novels.

In a game as a whole? There could be more companies who try to make a game. You know with animated models, a little more interesting then just click to see the next scene. A real game!!!

But I guess that will remain a fairytale just as some say. The producers are content to produce shit. And the customers are content to buy shit.

This days only private, hobby or amateur programmers take even the time to put together a game what worth something. Respect to the exceptions.

Re: [Request] North Pole Glory Hole

Wessex, you reasoning works for every single popular industry, like non-h games, music, movies, cookies, etc...

When there is a big request for a product, there will be a lot of companies that try to satisfy it, most of them will obviously use the cheapest ingredients and reduce the production cost to the bare minimum, with a resulting bad product that is still acceptable for most people for the affordable price or personal tastes, and the more competition is born, the wider the variety of products will grow.

The growth in the hentai industry is obvious in the long run, you can't see it in 1-2 years, staring from pictures growing to books, then to animations, then games, just in the last 20 years the growth of the h-games industry has grown immensely, that's how you see growth.

In other words, an extreme case of quantity over quality, along with the illusion that quantity means crap...

Someone once said that with enough dedication you can accomplish a lot of things.

I have no illusion about this. Quantity does not mean immediately that the stuff is low quality. But the fact is, that today there are only few precious gem in hill made of worthless shit.

Re: [Request] North Pole Glory Hole

the will sell what makes the most profit, not revenue, but profit.

profit= expense minus revenue/ or money earned

a text/cgi game only needs a few pictures, and is incredibly easy to make. since it is so easy to make and so cheap they can make more while still spending less effort. honestly if you want better products pay for them. any form of business will give you what you buy. for instance take call of duty, the game-play is relatively unchanged, give or take a few new twists, since MW1, yet it is one of the most popular games right now. since people keep buying the same game, they don't have to be original or different. same thing with the text/cgi games. people buy them, and its easy and cheap to make, why not make them.

honestly i blame people as a whole for the problems in society, not individuals.

...fuck off.

You clearly have no respect for a well told story, because that's what most visual novels are; a very well told story, with interesting characters and an engaging plot. I'd take that over a short and quick thrill any day.

So tell me, what's a real game? Something with amazingly high quality artwork, storytelling and dialogue, or something like North Pole Glory Hole, which is good fun for maybe half an hour total time?

In fact, don't tell me, because I don't want to hear your answer; you've already shown to have no respect for anything that isn't giving you instant gratification.

Ok, i understand this is the wrong place to say this, but jungle girl isn't exactly what i would use as an example for something good for a revolution...

I actually really love fan fictions. I can never get enough from them.

Of course how interesting a story is also depends on the fact that you can read it, or not. Not to mention I was never the romantic type.

Beside you just said. Visual novels aren't games. They are fan-fictions in Japanese language with a few images.

At least my definition of game is not covering them.

from jungle girl, and then demon girl ive seen about three spin-offs.

shinobi girl and angel girl are two good ones and one not so good one was that 3d miss America game.

upcoming spin-offs are even being updated on this site, but there slow in the making.

now we wait for the spin-offs of those, and then we might have something. remember, copying other peoples work is hard and takes time

and to inky, i did consider glory hole to be good, and am still enjoying it a few days later, and in my opinion story doesn't belong in porn, so ill turn to other mediums for a good story.

That's a false dichotomy and you know it. Most hentai games, including North Pole Glory Hole mentioned, are shitty. Visual novels, on the other hand, are not games at all.

There was also this really bad one with a niglet going through the jungle, but it stunk pretty bad.
