It's not about cultuaral differences, a word is an insult only if used with hostility, most people will see the harmful joke for what it is and let it slide cause it's stupid to rage about it, but there are gonna be people, regardless of nationality, religion or race, ready to make an holy war out of it, cause they only care about their own opinion on what you meant(Funny how some people think they know what you mean more then you do, right?
). I beat it with a track pad... laptop overuse has given me unnecessary amounts of skill with them. Of course, the mouse would still be easier.

As I understand it, there are many things that can mess with the development of an industry. But from my point of view, it looks like most companies that make the crappy H-games are really artists without inhibitions trying to get by. Their certainly skilled at drawing what everyone likes, but they're either lacking the inspiration or the skills to create a great game, merely manage to hand out some very basic game-ish things.
