Yup, I watched it (my verry first Picarto session), it was entertaining. DAHR's playlist [Blackmore's Night, Vanessa May, Clawfinger, Scream (Movie 1) Soundtrack and some sort of russian Viking Metal (?).]
could have been mine, 15 years or so ago.

But the only new thing (possibly) concerning Iris Quest was a sketch of a pregnant (!) Iris.

I haven't read through the comments on his page, so, can you tell if that's for the finished game or just the next release? The message he sent this morning referenced "dungeon" (singular), so either it's a rogue-like or they have more releases planned in the future. Or it's really limited, but let's hope not.

Optimist : it's the entire game and we'll have it before Christmas.

Realist : it might just be the dungeon module and they'll release only that part next year.

Pessimist : all their HDD burn out at the same time and we're screwed.

Akaburist : he'll finally deliver something groundbreaking, drop the douche attitude, stop wasting time re-drawing the same scene 4+ times and get his visa for the art school.

It's funny because Xaljio also works on Library Story which gets updated rather frequently. The beta was up to 0.8 last I checked.

Meanwhile IQ is being developed in the absolute worst way with a 15 month old demo and no concrete evidence of work getting done.

I don't really understand what you're trying to say? Do you judge games purely on whether or not you can have intercourse? It still has several times the amount of content IQ does.

Regardless...my criticism was aimed towards the fact that he goes silent for long periods of time and doesn't let his own patrons test the game they're paying for. Even Akabur's next game will be patched regularly so no one is wondering what's going on.

Sorry, IMHO library story is couple of porn CGs locked behind a grindy click-fest. Most ren'py games are. Doesn't mean it isn't good, but I'm going to measure it's progress by the amount of porn I can access, and it does lose points for having 3 of the 7 scenes be fellatio (I count the belle diddling scenes all as 1, and the beast victory scene along with that blondes original bj scene as 1).

PLEASE ask me why I bother to play and don't just look at an image gallery.
