For my two cents - I half get the impression samurai masks were probably initially made to imitate fat sumo wrestlers during constipation. Nothing is scarier than a man three times your size when he looks superbly pissed off considering your current thought might be something along the lines of "don't eat me..."

well at first i was like "hell yeah, damn right, dude... show those japanese developers!" ...
and then i realised that this "i am pissed because of the slow progress of my 16 bit fap material and i am going to SHOW THEM ALL I CAN DO IT BETTER!!!111"-project will fail. the way this thread progresses is enough evidence.
there were so many "projects" of pissed off h-gamers, but after a short demo release, they suddenly realized "OMG... i'ts like... a lot of work if i dont want to produce crap!" and they vanished along with their ideas.
but i could be totally wrong about this... *caugh*

If RJ has confidence I have confidence. Besides I'm not the sort of person to shoot down a project based purely on speculation.

Frankly I'd rather have confidence in ??? and see what he can do, rather than abortively shutting him down becore he has the chance to show us.

I had a dream... Where that totally freaking happened. Great - there goes my donation offer down the hole...

Seriously though; if the guy is serious, I say just nail down the basics and get it to the point where if he does ever say "fuck it" he can cough up the fla or whatever and say "here, one of you fools can have the misfortune now!" At least then people can still go "hey, at least you tried" and not "Where's our freaking game man!?" Once he has that down it's very easy to pop out an actual demo of the game and start fleshing out the aspects one at a time like these other guys are doing, except without the threat of making us all pay out of the ass. I am fine with donating if I like what I'm seeing; if I see a price tag though I am SO outta here. The only commitments I make like that are to a car or to a girl who isn't obsessed with shiny things that cost anywhere near as much as my car. To be absolutely frank - I've only committed to a car like that because I don't feel like walking that 45 minute trip to work... I might like walking, but SHEESH!!
