Re: Bonecraft
This game seems to be coded terribly and reading through the forums on the source site, the 'technical help' is pedestrian at best.
I'm glad my friend bought it and not me. There's no reason a game that looks like this should require so much power to run. And if it's going to require that much power, they should have allowed for the disabling or decrease in quality of important individual graphic components. Specifically particle effects. I'm hoping this can be achieved by editing one of the .cs files.
The creators having the nerve to pretend that the starting resolution for this game needs to be 1024x768 and not 800x600 is also a bit mind boggling (of course you can always go into the prefs.cs and change this, but you lose a lot onscreen.
Bonetown was great, I ran THAT game on my system with every setting set to max and absolutely no problem at 1366x768. There's no reason Mass Effect 2 should run better on my computer than this game.

Aside from that, despite being Bonetown: In Fantasy Space with re-skinned models, the game's not terrible. The dialogue tries too hard at times, well, all the time. It's comically unfunny. The ability to dress up your marine minions as various figures from pop culture lore is pretty cool.
I can't for the life of me get the Fantasy mode to work properly (that is to say, at all) even though on the source forums the team said that the problem causing that would have been fixed a whole patch ago. Edit: Finally got it working. Re-installed, re-patched. Obnoxious.
This is a game that should have been sold for $9.99. It's a time killer, and you get the most out of it by playing it in that way.
