Re: (3D Lotus) Skunk Vol. 3 (NOT RELEASED YET)

Where in the world do you get that idea? If it's 50/50 with Gamestop, why is it the same price for Diablo 3 at GameStop as it is if you were to purchase directly from Blizzard? Did Blizzard also 50/50 with itself?

It is roughly that price, depending on the deal worked out with the retailer. Blizzard sells it for the same price for multiple reasons. Usually, when they make a contract with retailers to distribute their titles, they agree under contract not to undercut them.

Why would anyone buy from gamestop for 60 when blizzard sells for 40? Bad business for gamestop to carry it at all. If any company started pulling stuff like that big retailers like gamestop would stop carrying their products.

Gamestop would likely do it too. They already carry enough of a market share that they can, and often do, threaten companies that they will not carry their products if they do not give gamestop exclusive DLC for reserved copies.

Besides, any sale they make off their own site they get to keep 100% of the 60, not just half.

Pretty much this. It's a matter of visibility: You want your product on as many shelves as possible, so you want stores to carry your games. They are your business partners, and if you sell your games for cheaper than they do, you are directly competing with their business and odds are they won't be your partners very long.

Not to sound ungrateful or anything, but could anyone upload the game? 29 bucks for a game is money that I can't cough up at the moment...

There was a trick to bypass protection earlier in this thread...

Visibility is hardly an issue in the internet age. Are we really being serious here or are we just trolling to pointlessly defend eroge pricing schemes, DRM, and paying exponentially more for less?

When you consider the success of Steam and the ability to simply choose release day deliveries of box products from online retailers like Amazon (for no extra cost) and the fact that brick and mortar stores have all but pulled most of their support for PC games anyway, is visibility for PC games in a brick and mortar really what we're going for here? Is that really the argument?

There's pretty clearly not some under the table contract pricing for selling a box product at Gamestop. There's no benefit for it. If anything, Gamestop is paying Blizzard for rights for a huge release (Gamestop got the midnight launch event over Fry's or Best Buy). It's Diablo. If Diablo needs visibility, you're delusional.

A trick what only works if you can open the game itself. What is impossible because of the protection. So useless someone who bought it shares you wont be able to get it.

So far to date, the only PC games I found worth paying for was Starcraft, Diablo, Starcraft 2, and a deal on Sengoku Rance ($10 and I actually played it a few times because of the IF routes and the bonuses).

Thus, is absolutely the lack of content and fail attention to details - which are the very essentials of a good, enjoyable experience.

Ugh, it sucks that there isn't any good file-hosting sites for this kind of thing anymore. Mediafire is starting to delete anything pornographic(which I assume is why Ecs-Train in the other thread which has to get re uploaded all the time is having these problems.), so it might end up being killed off shortly after being uploaded, but it might be worth a shot. Although, the 200 MB limit means you have to divide it into parts.

Other than that, I can't really provide any good suggestions here.

Set to japanese locale and then extract it. That worked for me.

Can you upload a save file too?

Rename the .txt to .text and drop it in your game directory.

I wish more games used such a simple unlockables save..
