IT LOOKS LIKE ALL THE EVENTS NOT IN THE EVENT FOLDER ARE IN SJIS ENCODING INSIDE THE RAI7.EXE BINARY FILE. You are correct. Yet it is a bit more complicated.
- rai7.exe contains DPM-like section at the end of all sections - I was able to use disassembler to dump the image;
- The image is in DPM format same as pac1.dmp in rai7 folder;
- DPM image containst only one file - start.ax;
- Extracted start.ax from DPM file (using my own utility);
- start.ax appears to be related to Hot Soup Processor 3 file format;
- One of the sections in HSP file has all the string \0 delimited;
- Extracted strings;
- Machine translated;

So far so good. The are a few concerns:
- I will be able to reinsert strings into the file but the size of the string will be different, so if any part of HSP interpreter points to the exact location of the string we are screwed;
- Updated start.ax has to be converted to DPM format before - if there is an app for that, - I do not have it. So the worst case scenario I will create it;
- If I have a DPM file I will have to insert it into rai7.exe file - replacing the existing DPM section - at this point I am not sure if it is possible to do without corrupting exe;

The attached start.ax.zip file contains extracted and translated strings from start.ax.

I also attached rai7*.zip which contains translated items, person/plane names and all events.

I used cmd:
copy /b R7PUK.7z.001 + R7PUK.7z.002 + R7PUK.7z.003 R7PUK.7z

This will create R7PUK.7z which one can "unzip".

Hey whats pasword for R7PUK.7z when i need to extract it please?

YEP, I CAN'T REINSERT UNLESS THE NEW STRINGS HAVE THE SAME CHECKSUM. "STARTUP FAILED". TRY REPLACING "NEW GAME" STRING WITH THE STRING "GAY GAME" AND IT GIVES THE ERROR. I TRIED REPLACING A JUMP OPERATOR TO SKIP THIS ERROR, AND IT FAILS WITH A SEG FAULT / ILLEGAL MEMORY ACCESS A LITTLE LATER IN THE PROGRAM.

THIS WAS WITH THE RAI7 POWER UP KIT.

I WILL FUCK AROUND WITH IT BUT IT IS NOT LIKEY I WILL BE ABLE TO REINSERT. I AM USING OLLYDBG AND A HEX DUMPER / EDITOR TO MANIPULATE THE RAI7.EXE EXECUTABLE. IF YOU HAVE ANY ADVICE ON OTHERSOFTWARE THAT WOULD MAKE MY EFFORT MORE EFFICIENT LET ME KNOW.

Thank you for the link! I learn these commands through the tutorial though.

What I am trying to do is a bit deeper - the goal is translating all dialogs and messages including interface. Yet to see how far I can go with it. I attached a few screenshots so you can see the difference.

I reuploaded translated files - the last one seems to be untranslated...

I also included the following extensions in this translation:
- (Anti-abortion I) 流産予防 - u090-u094
- (Multiple pregnancy pattern) 妊娠 複数パターン - p097-p098
- (PUK small event set of 5) PUK版_小イベント5点セット - u002-u006

I love you guys. I sure as hell appreciatea your efforts, been trying to play this for a while and still can't figure out what to do. Hopefully this helps - anyone able to tell me how you become a part of a fleet? I got promoted all the way up to rank 4 somethingsomething and never get assigned to one and spend the entire game catching spies and killing assassins :confused:

In my case, I instantly got assign as ship captain after coup. Unfortunately, you can't freely assign people as your sub commander. Only someone you've befriend (relation 3 or lower), and if they're already assign to other position, the king may denies your request (I think their faction leader can denies it as well).

In my case, I instantly got assign as ship captain after coup. Unfortunately, you can't freely assign people as your sub commander. Do you know what your relationship with the king was? I could have sworn theres an option to ask to be made a captain but the manual is gibberish and I can't tell what to do with the pictures

look at the items.csv for example.
Google Translate forces its own Grammar on the files including commas to the texts or mess up the structure(mixing lines and paragraphs ...).

So watch that it don't mess around with the order if you gave him more, like numbers, or it makes +1200 to +1,200, ...

like the line 68:
失念飴,18 years of age or older, I want to the same faction players to force the person in 5 minutes or less. ,16,0,2,3
Faction joining ticket,It makes 5th place or less over 18 years persons forcibly to the player faction,12,0,2,3

is in the original version:
失念飴,カタキの相手を忘れてしまう。,16,0,2,3
Forgetting candy,Will forget the partner,16,0,2,3

and the translation should be in line 69 from the 68, blaming that too on Google Translate ;) (to be true, it sometimes makes such things; sadly very often when you have 2 choices during live translation of a game during play).

but even if you are cautious, you can still have bugs in the item.csv , sometimes it seems do don't load all lines, than i have to go to libre office, inport it, fix it, so each line is a line and not all in one box like A1 and than save it as csv again. Looking exactly the same in Notepad++ afterwards but works in the game.

here a item.csv i translated with TA from Hongfire (just rename .txt to .csv or copy/paste).
it is from R7P2-27v2 with the 2.28 updated exe from baidu.

//edit: sry wrong file, first one was the one with even the item names translated and so generating problems for gamescripts

Thank for the input. I have a post-processing routine that replaces commas with Japanese commas but this was disabled for item.csv...

I also have 2.28 update I downloaded from May web site but unfortunately some of the scripts are not working with it so I had to roll back to 2.14.

I fixed item translation part of my app -now like 68 looks like this
失念飴,18 years of age or older、I want to the same faction players to force the person in 5 minutes or less. ,16,0,2,3

Interesting fact - it seems like HSP calculates checksum of sort for the whole AX file and not just every string. So if I change "NEW GAME" to "LEW GAME" and "LOAD" to "NOAD" exe runs fine. All one has to figure out is how HSP calculates the checksums...

I figured out how to get assigned your own fleet. You need to be a Junior Officer 3-4 and you'll usually be the first to get out into space. The fastest way to get this done is spending the majority of the year doing work and suggesting to your king to upgrade the fleet every nine months, this backfired for me since by the time i was high enough rank to get my own ship our army was flying around in gundams and had stations with wave cannons and the political leader above me decided to stage a coup with equipment two tech levels below them :eek:

It's pretty much impossible to tell what all the options for fleets are, though. so i think ill wait for a UI translation before I try going any further

In game folder, go to thm folder, open those txt file (with PUK, there will be five of them), change all 0 parameter at the end of each line to 1.

One story event is still missing, but it's just one girl with different expression

Translation Update

We all know machine translations are horrible. Yet a newer version is coming soon. I did it for PUK 2.14. So if you already updated to PUK 2.28 it might not be working for you.

I have a few fixes:
  • Formatting - long messages are now split in two (or more)
  • "sel_plist" command is now translated
  • "owner_sel" command is now translated
  • string substitutes tane_str, man_str, tin_str and siru_str are replaced with 精液 (spem), ペニス (dick), オマンコ (pussy) and 中出し·クリームパイ (creampie) respectively before translation
  • Found error in one of the scripts zin_reg_msg command had some trail text which should be in a separate line. The line looks like this "zin_reg_msg,【call_pid2】、also tonight Come,1つになりましょうぞ,0". Now "つになりましょうぞ,0" part will be translated

Hopefully the translation will look a bit better after this.

Known issues:
  • there are a few string substitutes - buf_str1, buf_str2 and buf_str3 that cannot be translated since they probably are hardcoded in the main RAI7.exe
  • there are a lot of clutter like " !..." or "! ! !" which I will eventually clean
  • "chg_pname" command is not translated
  • "get_item" command is not working for me - it might be related to translation (yes I tried to modify a few scripts to give my guy some items but no luck there)

btw.: multi pregnancy is possible, and very easy just remove from all sex happenings, the search if the player is already going to be a father.

as some of the script is in the .exe i think, i just added below each
zin_flush,xyz or zin_flush_one,xyz the lines(not the best, could need some finetuning, better lines, ...):

but would be nice to have a script for it, as editing 500 entries took me about a day and after i was finished i found an error...

bright side, even multisomes are possible just needs text and script.
bad side, whenever i try to get in a random i get a faulty line error or something similar, so currently it would mean, sex scene -> woman pregnant 100% if someone puts it in their files too.

easiest would be, to edit the eventscripts that check if the player has already got someone pregnant and rewrite that. But as i couldn't find something to easily replace for all checks(mostly its one check for multiple event persons), i made the check myself and put in after the scenepictures.

i think its item giving the item to 0 from the player, or the other way around, like a potion to make it your subordinates or wife, ...

Nice grew custom to the translations in the mods :)

can you try to get



else i would say all that don't alter something in the csv folder and make the game funnier(pirates attack planets like you can do, when playing a pirate, ...) would be nice if it don't conflict(dunno if above cause any problems ingame or filewise).
