Lol :D ! At first, he just said that he wouldn't kill his main character just like that (if I've well understood, the only way to loose is the corruption level).

Then, you've answered that he was aiming ya (maybe that's right but you're surely not the first to kill his character [but you, it's just 'cause you're stubborn]), that he was mean, etc.

Then, he answered to ya.

Just like for your CYAO, if you have let the people do their way (here, just shut your mouth or PM Mindflayer], there should not be any prob'.

You're a troll and you're trapping yourself :p And nothing more (fuckin' Raven)

Re: The Dungeon of Debauchery: Mind Flayer's CYOAs.

(C) Move south and blast the wand at the first enemy she sees. (Also just so you all know, you can aim the wand at pretty much anything in the room that Elena is in, whether it be Mia, the steps, one of the doors etc... I'd even allow you to aim at yourself as well, which with certain wands can actually be a good thing.)

(Perception roll failed for... something. ;))

Well let's head south Mia, I just have a good feeling about it for some reason,” Elena said to Mia after looking at each of the three doors.

Mia agreed with her and together they began heading through the south door and down the fairly short corridor. After a minute or so they found themselves at the entrance to another room, and Elena moved to open the door. As she opened the door they saw several things, one was a pool of water with a dark area in the middle that made them think it was quite deep, otherwise the water looked like it was quite clean. Another thing was quite a few gold pieces strewn about the room all over the floor and a they could also see a glint of it in the water, though there were too many to count without gathering them all up.

The most noticeable thing in the room that they saw was not either of those things though, the most noticeable thing was that they saw yet another giant spider like they faced earlier, and two more of the lamias that Elena faced by herself just before finding Mia. All three beings noticed the two of them as they walked in and immediately began advancing towards them, the lamias both with smiles on their faces as they licked their lips, eying the two hungrily.

Damn, Elena I think we're going to have to fight. We should get re... WHOA!” Mia said and abruptly shouted as Elena raised the wand she'd found and aimed it right at the spider and using whatever magic was inside to blast the thing, the blast soaring right past Mia's head. The blueish missile flew past Mia and slammed into the large spider, hitting it in the face and knocking out a few of its eyes with the magical missile. [Elena deals a total of 8 HP dmg to the Giant spider. (Wand identified as a wand of magic missile (Wand of magic missile always hits and deals 1d4 + magic modifier HP dmg. All wands have charges with which they use their powers, after those charges are all gone the wand is good for nothing more than firewood. All but a few wands come with 2 +1d6 charges, I won't say exactly how many there are that don't come with that many, but I will say that those that don't come with 1 +1d4 charges, and that there is one wand that only comes with up to 3 charges in it and never more and it's very rare to even find said wand. Another thing to know folks is that wands aren't always identified by blasting them.]

Mia took the initiative and went in to try and finish the spider off before it could get an attack on them, using Elena's wand blast as a distraction to get close. Her sword strike managed to take the spider down by burying her blade in its face thankfully, evening the playing field for the two of them. (Mia rolled a 31 vs 12 for the Giant spider, hitting for 7 HP dmg and killing the Giant spider.)

The first lamia moved in after Mia after she charged into the room and swung her large tail at Mia's side in an attempt to knock the wind out of her. Mia stumbled back as the heavy tail of the lamia hit her full in the stomach, though thankfully her armor managed to block most of the hit for her, keeping her from taking less harm than she otherwise would have. (Lamia A rolled a 44 vs 40 for Mia, hitting for a total of 5 HP dmg. The lamia rolled an 8, but Mia has 3 AC so takes only 5.)

The second Lamia moved in after Mia as well, seeing her as the easier prey since Elena was over by the door where she could easily run. She also swung her tail around and hit Mia, knocking her over into the wall where she banged her head a little with a grunt. After that Mia looked a bit winded, but still more than capable of fighting, and she wasn't about to allow herself go down easy. (Lamia B rolled a 20 vs 7 for Mia, hitting and dealing a total of 3 dmg to her. The lamia rolled a 6, but again Mia's AC prevented half of it.)

lvl 2 Lamia - HP: 12/12, PP: 0/12, status: fine
lvl 2 Lamia - HP: 12/12, PP: 0/12, status: fine

Options:

(A) – Attack.

(B) – Run away.

(C) – Other.

(Well the majority of you folks did pretty much say to blast the wand at the first enemy that she came across correct, and since they didn't make their stealth rolls I figured I'd just start the battle up and save some time. The spider was the nearest in initiative order and went after Mia in the turn order, so I would figure it to be the nearest enemy. Unless you all have a problem with that of course.)

Re: The Dungeon of Debauchery: Mind Flayer's CYOAs.

A) Attack the lamia A with Avenging Light, and C) Attack from the side, so whatever's in the water doesn't flank us.

Let's hold off on the wand until we need to put something down in a hurry. That's reliable damage.

I would say C (heal mia) but that pool is suspiciously suspicious. Therefore, A, Holy Beam on the uglier lamia [only need to roll 6 on a 2d8 for damage to kill the scaled reptilian sod, if I've calculated damage roll bonuses right and it hits]

Re: The Dungeon of Debauchery: Mind Flayer's CYOAs.

(A) Blinding light

Elena saw Mia getting pounced on by both of the lamia and quickly moved to aid her. She gathered enough power and released it, shouting to the lamias to get their attention and then she unleashes her spell into the room. She managed to blind one but the other was able to cover her eyes before it could blind her. (Elena rolled a 16 vs 32 for Lamia A, and 20 vs 16 for Lamia B, blinding Lamia B with her spell and using 8 Pw.)

Mia noticed Elena's magic and prepared herself as soon as the young angel blasted it out into the room. Then she rushed the lamia that wasn't blinded by the spell, swinging her blade out at it in an attempt to decapitate her. Her swing was a little off though and didn't hit her neck like she wanted, but it did however leave a large gash down the lamia's back when she tried to dodge it and failed to do so. (Mia rolled a 48 vs 27 for Lamia A, dealing 8 HP dmg.)

The lamia screamed out in pain as Mia's sword hit her, but managed to recover enough to go at the dark elf. She moved in and swung her tail at Mia again, who easily batted it aside. (Lamia A rolled a 4 vs 26 for Mia, missing her.)

The second lamia sort of flailed about for a moment or two before turning towards Elena and rushing at her, swinging her tail at the young angel in an attempt to knock her off her feet. Elena easily dodged this however by jumping and flapping her wings, fluttering over it. (Lamia B rolled a 34 vs 38 for Elena, also missing.)

Elena flew over the lamia and landed near the pool of water in the room, and just as she landed, several slimy tentacles burst forth from the water at her. The tentacles were very fast and got about a foot from Elena before she jumped back and flapped her wings again to take to the air, hovering above the pool of water. (Giant jellyfish rolled a 13 vs 41 for Elena on its sneak attack, failing to hit her by a long shot as it burst out from hiding.)

Elena knew that would make things a bit more difficult in this fight, as she didn't know exactly how to fight the aquatic monster below her. She also shouted a warning to Mia below her.

"Mia, look out we've got another one here. Stay away from the water!" Elena shouted to her friend.

Mia didn't bother risking a glance over to Elena and continued staring down the lamia she was facing, while the monster in the water seemed to be focused on Elena.

What should they do now?

Elena recovers 4 Pw this turn.

A) Let's drop a Heaven's Lightning on the jellyfish. We can save Mia afterwards...

...or maybe we could incapacitate the blind lamia and throw it to the jellyfish?
