He has been updating every week for about 5 months now or so.

I don't know if this counts toward the poll but I'd settle for having The Great Mighty Poo boss pallet swapped into a green or red or fuck it, make him a stone golem or some other shit because I laughed so hard the first time I saw it and even harder when I saw the sex animations. I like this game. I don't want to laugh at it. I don't know how many others are put off by sex with a shit monster but for me the idea is too funny to be erotic. And if it's not supposed to be a shit monster I would like to hear what it's supposed to be.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

That post on his blog thing was made earlier today wasn't it?

I had heard about a redo of basically the whole game from head to toe some time ago. Good to know at least this one can be kept on the radar, though by the looks of it, it is a distant faint blip as of now.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

I wouldn't say these are so much "updates" as they are his thoughts in blog form. Still, there's the whole "weekly transparent progress update" thing he's got going, even if he often makes fun of himself not doing anything half the time.

Personally, I think the horse was the weakest. I think the positions were rather awkward due to size differences, and the whole deal where she's on his belly just.... isn't all that great. Now if he could somehow rework the horse to have some kinda science-y saddle and it forces her into an actual bellyriding position (underneath).... hoo boy!

I tried several time, but it never let me post to his blog.

My honest opinion is that this is not the most optimal place to focus your efforts. This project has been in progress to some degree for many years now and still seems in its early stages. I'm a perfectionist, too, so I understand the compulsion to get everything done exactly right before moving on. However, at this time I feel like you should work on expanding content first, get it up to a few levels with 6-10 enemies, and then perhaps come back and tweak things that you feel could use some additional work.
If I had to choose an animation that I found least appealing it would be the slime. I really like the wolf and horse, and the golem is okay.

But yeah, I'm not really interested much in animation tweaks or (PLEASE NO!) complete re-works of the entire game. This is already the sort of project that it only makes sense to check on every 2-3 years.

Well, if memory serves, he's finished the intro (writing), re-done some of the CGs, tweaked some animations, squashed several bugs all so he could go back through and polish and re-tool everything. Not a complete do-over. I'd consider that progress.

Yeah... I honestly wonder if "sex games" is a phase that we, or at least I, would have grown out of if there hadn't been shambling, endless projects like this one. Or, in other words, I wonder if we'd have grown out of it if games came out in very predictable dev cycles, so we had no incentive to continually check back to see if there's been progress.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

Just dropped by to let you know I am, indeed, lurking over here so your thoughts won't dissapear on the air.

So, couple of things, first, I don't intend of ever going to a do redo over everything I have so far on the game, I can't remember if I literally said that that way, but it's not my intention, my intention is to get done right the things that I have now, which it's almost everything you need to make a game (you know, intro, enemies, ending, saving, etc), so I have a strong foundation to which I can add content to with ease, after this intro business is done, I'll tackle the 2 final aspects that I believe I need to have said foundation, which are combat (making it fun), and gameplay mechanics around the arousal bar (make it challenging), that was the second thing btw.

This thing about the animations wasn't pulled right straight from my ass, it's something that has been on my mind all the time, because I feel the animations doesn't have a consistent quality, but at least for now, it's not a priority, though I will be taking notes on your feedback.

The only thing I can think to request from you before you add or remake anything is the horrible CON bug. I'm pretty sure more CON should be lowering the damage they do, NOT increasing the damage they do to you.

also make sure difficulty settings revolve around those.(grabs/combat damage and damage from grabs) separate would be very very nice.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

Well I do like the golem, the dog, and the slime the most. As I said earlier, I think the horse is pretty lackluster overall. Although I think I like the golem mostly for the boss theme. Seriously, I copied the MP3 from the game folder over with the rest of my music. :p

But speaking the golem, I remember some coloring glitches with it. I think a time or two when I was 'fighting' him I equipped the freeze ray and it was like her blue hair color was fighting with her red hair color on a number of frames in the animations. I think I read something about that on the blog but I'm not sure if that was acknowledged as an issue.... it was so long ago! :p

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

Whatever you do don't make it as challenging as Sakyubasu no Tatakai II. Too much challenge makes for a frustrating porn game with 0 replayability in my opinion.

Its like those hrpg games that have no GoR or combat rape whatsoever and just give you a Game Over screen which is tantamount to the developer giving a big "fuck you". Ill never understand why developpers think people like CG easter egg hunts with arbitrary clothing requirements and/or ridiculously well hidden triggers that require walkthroughs in order to find (aka 95% of hrpg games). Sorry for going off on a tangent.

Anyways, i dont think porn games benefit too much from increased difficulty. Rather i think just having plenty of content and interesting game mechanics suits it better. If you take "Peach's Untold Tale" as an example, i think its relatively easy but its still very compelling.

there has to be a challenging part to actually feel like your getting caught, I hate when i have to reduce my skill lvl just to see the scenes

God damn it. I used the words "shambling, endless" to describe this game, and didn't intend for them to sound negative, but thought "eh that word choice sorta sounds negative. It should be more neutral. Whatever, not like the dev is going to happen to drop by at this exact moment. I shouldn't be so neurotic."

BAM, dev dropped by at that exact moment.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

I'm not sure what it is that I like about this particular game but I did find myself enjoying the last beta test despite it's limited scope (or maybe because of it?). Perhaps because it is a flash game and feels exactly like one should. I'm quite pleased to see development has moved forward.

The character animation overall is fairly decent; the main character has a nice stride overall. I would say her arm movement is a bit jumbled but other than that it's acceptable. I would have to give it another play-through to go over every single animation but I do remember the mud man boss being a bit strange. There were also some moving platforms that were a bit jarring in their movement but again I would have to devote some time to a play-through to remember which ones.

Re: Mitsuko X Space Escape

The challenging part is mainly due to a personal taste, I like when games are fair and make you work for stuff, but by no means is how every single game should be made; also, I don't plan it to be maddening hard like iwbtg or something, but since I took the "rape is bad for you, not a reward" route, I will have to make the enemies a bit challenging so you can,and will be raped, instead of just letting yourself get raped, which will be still an option, but that will make the game harder to you, not unbeat-able, but harder.
On a side note, I think...mmm, no, better not, I was gonna give my opinion on Sakyubasu no Tatakai, but I fear I'll just came out as an ass.

@textbook703.- Don't worry, I never get mad when ppl say not nice things about it, though this situation does bother me a bit, I wish I could just finish it and tomorrow release it and say: ha! you didn't thought I would finish it huh?! But alas, these things take time, hakuna matata.

Don't worry, a lot of the h-games I end up liking end up becoming near-vaporware because the devs tend to be perfectionists. But what they ended up putting out, even in demo form, still tends to be a few steps up by comparison to those dime-a-dozen games.

I mean, there are worse devs than you out there in terms of how fast they work on their games. Just like at DirtyC101... it's been years since he's gone and made a third level for Furry Fury, yet the first two areas are really solid for what they are.

The door's green, so I assume kill all the enemies. Except the enemies that open the door are on the OTHER SIDE OF THE DOOR.
The wolves will sometimes run towards the door if you are close enough. hit them through the door, as mighty as that sounds.

Okay I'll say it... Jump into the duct to make your way out. Remember how you started? Trapped in a room in your bra and panties and you had to break the glass ceiling to get out. Yea that duct is the only way in or out of that particular room.
After you kill the wolves, it opens up xD I walked rigt back in there and found out what everyone meant by the vent.

dammit Uriel you could have left me that without my 5 hours lurking how to unlock hard mode! But this is a great demo. Shows promise. I asked on your forum without really giving much of a direct contact, but now I can see that the media with the "horn"et hasn't actually been implemented yet. And might I just say, you are earning some serious reputation with the horse animations! I'm a bit of an oral-fetish guy so I liked both ends of what I saw there! There was a CG collection of the wolf dong it as well, but it was probably drawn up, not implemented.

This demo has the potential to compete with parasite in city when it gets completed. I'll pitch in a few hundred to help you out if you need it done... If you put a few favorites of mine in there too ;)

Aye. That they are. I'm waiting for toonpimp to work on a few things, myself. Offered some compensation, but he went rogue.
Sad face. I wanted specifics ;_;
