Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

I must know, do this game have hentai or is it just ecchi after all?
It's R-15, which is a step up from their previous games, but still down from the usual adult dlsite fare.
Basically, there's nipples now, and implied molestation, but still barbie crotches (unless you count a strategically placed crack in the stone-form CG),
the closest it gets is the rat enemy.

So if you're into boobage and such this is a pretty decent metroidvania-ish game in its own rights,
but if you need things stuffed into holes every 5 minutes to not lose interest, you'll want to pass on this one.

In unrelated news: That final boss tho... What is it with japanese games and the unwritten law of final bosses being designed for "I love pain"...
is there some secret contest where the quality of a game is rated by how many ragequits it gets?
Either that, or the game is balanced for controllers, the ones with "turbo" buttons...
I got it eventually, but - so much "come on, seriously?"...
I guess it's a good example in steep difficulty curve: Not that hard if you do everything perfectly, but any screw-up gets punished way more than it has any right to.

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

Cool thanks, CrazyPerson!

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

Looks like they just released a v1.1 with some fixes on the JP DLSite. Maybe it fixes the parts where the bosses don't appear also.

If that were true it'd be amazing. For now I'll hope I guess.

Cool, thx. Now I won't have to spend hours on end just to be dispointed, though I would likely stop if there's no porn in the first 10-20 minutes anyways.

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

Pssst... UPDATED
It took me a while to find out too. You really gotta be thorough with these areas...

Update: Hold on, apparently after you find out that you need a card key, you have to go back to the 2 soldiers blocking the area where the lamias are. The right one will say that he lost his card key. And let's just say a little birdie told me where the card key is...

Wait...oh, please dont mean what I think that means...

Dammit all! Gah, I hate these stupid convoluted processes of progressing. This is Simon's Quest all over again. Whatever, at least I can progress now...

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

Do you mean here? I can't seem to get a grip on left wall with a single jump. Do you start with the right wall?

Yeah, you start with the right wall. Just wall kick it and try to reach the platform with your second jump. You have to get used to that or else there's no way you're going to reach the top of the tower.

Hahaha, well we all gotta have at least one of them in these sort of games.

There's a wave gun right? Are we supposed to get that before we head to this spot? I'm stuck on the level above this part. There's a gear on the right side behind a wall and I can't seem to progress.

Compared to their earlier 月と人魚と水底の冒険 where you could get a bad ending where tentacles were conveniently covering your crotch and nipples, and all the ending CGs where you were naked had a mysterious mist covering the nipples?

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

Ah, finally. I beat it. And there's a CG gallery that you can unlock when you beat the game. Unfortunately, there's 7 that I was missing. If this game is really like Metroid, then does that mean I have to get 100% collectables and under a certain time? If so, fuck that. This game was alright, but man was it tedious. My hands are sorta shaking from all the X button mashing. If someone is able to get all the CGs, or if someone can hack a save or something, it'd be appreciated.

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

I'm still stuck at the underwater current, I get to the end and drown just before I can shoot the rock, I have gotten 2 green power ups, I also don't have double jump/wall kick jump not sure where that is. is their a trick to swim faster under water?

Yes, I've mentioned that you need that to progress. You have to do the key card quest.

When you're stuck at a segment, the best thing to do is look somewhere else. If you got a new ability, be sure to check the entire map to see if you can go somewhere new.

Spent half an hour doing that and I still couldn't make it.
Maybe I'll try re-clearing the game at expert difficulty first.

I guess it's a good example in steep difficulty curve: Not that hard if you do everything perfectly, but any screw-up gets punished way more than it has any right to.

It might be worth noting that to unlock some of the achievements more ragequit inducing feats have to be done.

What I can gather so far:
Trigger happy - Fired 4000+ shots.
Perfect stealth - No idea, could be firing less than 4000 shots?
Best condition - No idea too.
Artifact collector - Collecting 4 golden gears?
Zero percentage - No idea.
Expert clear - Clearing at expert difficulty?
High-speed clear - Clearing as fast as possible?
Too much continue - Continue over 35 times. (Does it count going back to checkpoint or just retries after game over?)

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

how can you get the power up in the rocket lizard boss map?

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

So any hints on how to pass the under water current? I've gone over alot of the rooms looking for secrets, and there are places I can't reach since I do not have the wall jump/ double jump, I can swim under water for about 25 seconds before I drown, haven't seen any leeches or tentacles in the game, unless those water bubbles under water are something, so if you have passed the underwater current what's the trick, I need help please.

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

Still couldn't figure out how to return to the map "where the demo ends" after beating the plant boss. How do you pass the inactive elevator?

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

That current is a skillgate that requires enhanced underwater breathing - if you haven't yet beaten the second fish boss, you don't have it.
So you'll want to continue exploring on the main part for now.

I'd like to try guessing the rest!
Perfect stealth - Do not cause the alarms to go off (like the lizard men and the robed men)?
Best condition - Uhhh... either don't have your clothes destroyed (seems impossible) or keep your heart rate lower than 100?
Zero percentage - Maybe don't collect any powerups?

I actually got the 4k shots and 35+ continues achievement... not much of an achievement though, haha...

Re: Blue Guardian: Margaret

What are you supposed to do when the water turns red? I went just about everywhere and cant figure it out. Can anyone help?

Once the water turns red, that means you're up to the key card quest. It's been discussed here already.
