Re: Defend ULMF! (Sign-up and OOC)
So since that is the case apparently, I figured I would open up a little chance for people INVOLVED in the RP to speak. If your not in the RP itself yet then damn well don't make a comment regarding a character that you've had no interaction with. If your not involved in an RP like this, then you have NO GROUNDS to be critiquing other people's characters.
Hey, the way I see it, it's Burrito's game initally. If he were having a problem with it, I'd think he'd have said "Y'know, maybe we ought to cut back on this..." Or as far as anyone playing the game, y'know, we are a vocal bunch. I highly doubt if there were a problem among us it would have stayed private for long.
As stated above, we are allowed to go OP and kick ass for the Lord now and again. It just gets difficult when we're on at different times. But seriously, Shrike and Tsuki were just having this conversation. If there's something you want to do, we do it. Like the ship. Shrike didn't ask Burrito about it. She just did it. Maybe at some point I'll bring in ghouls and more vamps (if I get off my ass and get ambitious enough...which I might. I just had an evil thought...) If Grave wants to bring in a nemesis for himself, cool. (Pale seems to want to remain relatively non-combative, but if she wants to bring something in, too, score.) There's enough potential among us to make different storylines, it's just that there are those that take more initiative than others. Me, I have to run games constantly, so any time I can just kick back and play, I do it.
Honestly, the only problem I see with our game is that people often get left behind due to time zone differences. I've seen Tsuki getting on while I've been ready to call it a night. Makes it a little difficult, but if we've got two or three things going, hopefully it won't be too much of an issue. As for the OP issue: see above. This is a free form game where we're not bound 100% by the rules. The rule was: Make a kick ass character with one ubermegasuperkameahmeha attack. I say, so long as the ubersuperattack doesn't become the regular attack, if you want to make your charrie stronger the longer they're in the game, go for it. If you've noticed, Copper hasn't been feeding all that much and yet she's still going through things that require her to use blood (as I'm still trying to run her based on the RP game she came from), not to mention she's starting to pick up abilities she didn't exactly start with but have become necessary to her and the squad's survival. Am I tweaking? Yes. Am I starting to make her godly powerful? I hope not. I still try and work in her limitations, but if there's not a place for them, I leave them out for the time being, but I don't forget them. (Like, y'know, how she probably *will* have to feed when they get home...) If a character evolution makes sense, I've got no problem with it. If things happen for no reason, then I'll take issue, but the way I see it, I'm having fun, so I don't care. When I stop having fun, then I'll say something.
