Sorry for the necro. I've been trying to get any of the cherry poi games running however when I launch the game it shows a black screen and then immediately closes by itself. I do have RPGVX RTP installed so I'm not sure whats going on. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need to have the RPGmaker XP RTP installed. Not VX.

Except that the games are clearly made with VX.

@Crest: Is your comp set to Japanese Locale? That could be the main issue.

Could also be that the filepath is too long. Try shortening it and see if that fixes it. Otherwise, check out the FAQ section pinned to the first page (ulmf.org/bbs/showthread.php?t=796).

@Eradrial. I do have the right RPGVX RTP installed so I don't get the RGS222.dll error or whatever the file name is. I tried shortening the filepath to a folder under C:\ but it hasn't fixed it. Whats happening is the game is starting up fine. Doesn't give any error messages and just shows the initial black screen before immediately closing. I'm running Win7 in japanese locale right now so I'm not sure what the problem is.

Okay just figured out what the problem was. i downloaded this savenshare thing somewhere along my travels and deleted it, now the game works fine. Don't know if you're in the same boat as me but hope that helps.

Damn i'm so glad i got this to work, spent hours playing it. Can anyone send me a pm link of the other two, either that or point me in the general direction of somebody that has them, tried google but no luck, Thanks.

I found Zoorine and Mecha Adventure by googling for their dlsite codes. They are RJ085589 and RJ081110. What's this savenshare thing?

It's some sort of virus i think. it prevents you from properly opening games. that's about all i know. If you have it on your computer, go into add or remove programs and delete it.

First off, this isn't new content but I did find something I haven't seen mentioned here.


dlsite.com/ecchi-eng/circle/profile/=/maker_id/RG15281.html Downloading the trial versions of the first and third give you more content atleast I haven't seen before. First just gives more of the loli so I wouldn't bother with that but the mechanus one gives a small sneakpeek of what cherry poi was working on before just dissappearing from this line of work completely. (I think he found some work on some other games that were more interesting)

He disappeared right around the time of the disaster in Japan didn't he? That's the part that sucks. I hope he's okay at least. His games were really fun.

There's already a thread for that specific game (ulmf.org/bbs/showthread.php?t=17586), where a link was provided for the most recent version. I've checked and the link still works. Enjoy.
