A lot of times when I decide to post a comment on a story, picture, painting, video, or whatever, I try to make it as effusive and glowing as possible. I just really like to make people feel good, and as a writer/author myself, I know how good I would feel if someone said something like that to me. It's not that it's not truthful... it's just that as an artist there's a difference between saying "Wow, cool story!" and being specific about saying what exactly you enjoyed about it. Both are nice, but the second just pushes it to another level.

Anyway, I wrote a comment like that for a story that I read recently. Later on that day, the author replied to me telling me how much I boosted her confidence. She hadn't expected anyone to like the story because it was a bit controversial, but now she plans to write multiple sequels to that story when she didn't really have the confidence to continue it before.

That just made me so happy.

I may be actually going to Eurogamer this year and meet my YouTube idols. Holy crap I'm excited.
Oh yeah also I got accepted for participating in the immabeast experience by Willdabeast Adams. Pretty excited for that too.

Good on you, Ranger! I can tell you, as a writer, the "loved your story" does give the warm and tinglies but hearing what people liked best makes for definite giddiness.

Just don't act like the tweens that were on the train to PAX with us two years ago who kept walking by the guy and then walking by again ad infinitum until one of them finally went "Are you--?" And then they dragged him away for the rest of the train ride (and mind you, this was a 10 hour train ride).

Watching a cute baby rabbit skip around outside in my front yard and then take cover under the overhang of my recycling bin when it started to rain. The rabbit looked so cute sitting there grooming himself/herself as he/she waited for the rain to pass.

Stole the thought right out of mu mind.

There is one major issue I see thus far though- both bots are designed to be manned affairs, which means there's still a risk for both pilots if the cockpits get damaged too much. Hopefully the modifications they do manage to mitigate this issue a bit but I do hope the two companies realize that whoever walks in may not walk out again.

That bit of morbidness out of the way, BRING IT OOOOOOOOOOOON!!!

2 months late response. sorry lol I only hop on here occasionally. Lets see here, at the time, I was taking college trig, intro to digital design and circuits. introduction to logic, art of theater. I ended up failing my trig class but I plan on retaking it this fall although this time I don't have any access to some help if you know what I mean

There's a gaming podcast called The Co-Optional Podcast, headed by youtubers Jesse Cox, Totalbiscuit and Dodger.

This week they actualy talked about Corruption of Champions, which was pretty hilarious. It's an hour in or so.

In the former case, a pornstar that is all friendly with the /v/ crowd of funposters, as far as I am aware. I figure she'd ended up in some fairly skeptical conversation with channers.

In the latter case, that was after a recent event known as SPJ Airplay(yesterday), thats part of the whole "GamerGate" debacle which isn't for me to go deeply into here.

In short: The location had to be evacuated due to bomb threats, but before that during a 'discussion' panel the topic of furries had been brought up, and Christina Hoff Sommers had gone all "Wait, whats a furry?" And then she had been informed of what that entailed. She looked a bit lost, confused and a tiny bit aghast at what typical furry activities consist of. Cue that tweet, since she's also been a bit taken by the funposting ways of channers.

That would probably be the short way to explaining the contect behind those twitter messages, even if I was hecka amused over just the content of them alone.
