Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

A "useless thread" with more recent activity than most threads in the whole forum section?
Tells you something about what might be needed around here, don't you think?
Spam and duplicate threads?

That's a good thing. Means that everyone's behaving themselves and following the new rules. :D
No it's not and no it doesn't. What do you think the old thread was for?

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

You have mod powers, we do not, even if we WANTED to use the old thread we couldn't. Merge the threads. Delete the 'offending' posts if you must.

Alternatively, I'd be more than happy to do it. ;)

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

Could swear you had mod powers here too. But then again if you say you don't, you don't.

Who IS the mod for this section then?

>Whines that being an ignorant asscunt gets you called out on it anonymously because you simply aren't worth the time to actually argue with. >Whines about sjws and special snowflakes being unable to take criticism or differing POV's. So much kek.

I have to whine, because if I don't then I get -rep automatically no matter what I'm saying, and saying murder all sjws because they're worthless cunts so wrapped up in trying to be important they don't see the fallacy of their 'cause' will definitely get me -rep. Also, I'm not ignorant, I CHOOSE to not give a shit about the so called 'difficulties' other people have.

Though I am touched that you noticed fesh.

Spam and duplicate threads?
Merge the old rep thread with this one already, if you want to. Otherwise, stop any of this empty talk and just let this thread be. Both options are fine with us, the community, I think.

....come to think of it, since you are not a moderator in this section, you don't really manage threads around here, do you?

Who IS the mod for this section then?
The forum overview section says "zero", so no specific (or visible) mods. Only admins.

That doesn't sound right... EE should have it's own mod. And it should be someone who's actually active in the EE section. Not some tyrannical shoutbox fascist...

Fully agreed! Only a (long-time) fellow maniac of the section, who can also keep order among the fools, should be in charge.

EE doesn't really need much moderation.

"doesn't need much moderation"
It needs moderation nevertheless. It's a working forum section, and there's bound to be reported posts or threads.

I know forum moderation, and there is always need of support in even the darkest, most unwanted corner of a small topic in a sub-topic any forum community. ;)
And in my honest opinion, ULMF presents a great base to improve and excel at the "basic hentai forum"!

Can't. That's been established.

Be what? It's not been anything yet. People actually using this thread has been, what, 10% discussion? 90% Shoutbox?

Thank you for the earlier neg-rep btw.

That doesn't mean it needs a dedicated mod. Besides mods, we also have one super mod and several admins.

Yet this thread is still here, the old one is still locked, and pew pew pew.

Unless this forum platform's software is completely outdated, I feel assured it IS possible!

It's not going to be some "professional thread". And it never was supposed to be one. Just like the old thread. It's basically a base to moan and joke about + or - reps one receives.
The "new version" bascially implements a social comonent of people being dicks, joking around, and having fun.

Thank you for the earlier neg-rep btw.
I did that indeed. Do you want to discuss the reason why I did it, Toxic?

The fuck is a professional thread? This isn't like the old thread, not because it can't be but my exact point is that people haven't been using it as such. It's still just questions about how the rep system works and the usual off topic buggery. And if it serves the same purpose as the old thread, there remains no reason why the mods can't unlock that. It's not like the rep is really any different, nor is the subject any different. We waited a few months for them to review the system, we can't wait a little for them to re-establish it in full?

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

That I can't.
Merging threads on this platform is possible, as long as you have the appropriate rights in the section. Since this "Everything Else"-section has no proper moderators shown, nobody except the administrators can do stuff.
So yes, I believe that you can't do anything, Toxic! Basically because you have no rights in this section. ;)

And if it serves the same purpose as the old thread, there remains no reason why the mods can't unlock that.
It really is less of a "situation" case of analysis. Basically, a new thread raised after the old one. Merging sounds like the optimal solution, as there should be minimal effort (unless this forum's engine is f*cked beyond any update). And I never disagreed the merge of the new thread with the old one, so that's still an option.

It's not like the rep is really any different, nor is the subject any different. We waited a few months for them to review the system, we can't wait a little for them to re-establish it in full?
So the rep-system isn't FULLY re-established now? Am I understanding this right? Please correct me if I'm wrong!

Feel free.
[this, you may answer in PM, I'd actually prefer it]
What do you think made me negrep you, Toxic?
And does it really matter what kind of rep you get from regular users? You're a moderator! What do you actually care about rep? I don't have the feeling your rep status represents your efficiency as moderator.
I know you a bit, and I actually like you so far. But the way you take care of your duties on the forums are....I don't know, it's weird, not reasonable.

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

No one should really be thought of as "moderators." We were very open and free from the start, and the idea that people keep pushing some role of power on me or anyone else creates this illusion of fascism when we're not supposed to do anything. I've been told from the beginning not to think of myself as a mod, and I don't. I'm a user first and always have been, and I was asked if I could clean up duplicate threads and spam posts in the H section, and I was given the title of "librarian." So, you haven't seen me take care of my duties on this forum, so I find it weird to be judged.

So you're saying you neg repped a pornographic post about a character that people were talking about in the EE section, because you don't like how I "moderate" in the hentai section?

That is quite the insight. Thank you for sharing this information, Toxic.

Re: The Reputation Hilarity/Insanity thread New version

And just to clear up something before I sound even saltier, I don't mind the neg rep. I brought it up cuz your rep seemed to still have a playful tone and I thought it sounded like it could have been positive. I thought I was meeting you guys halfway by sorta going outside my posting style and taking the zeph school of thought of "Someone in the EE section said something I can relate to porn" and posted.
