The only reason this thread wouldn't have been made would have been if the old one was unlocked, as far as I'm concerned it's only natural people would want to respond to anonymous one-way messages.
For me it's an entertainment thing, but I'm sure some of the folks like the ability to respond without derailing things in other threads.

Grey happens if your rep power is 0. -0 or +0 is still 0.
