really loving this game so far, the dialogue is pretty entertaining and the art is good too
problem though, i just got done in bilbao and its asking me to move on to the next area via the pirate ship, but the map seems to be weirdly glitched which is possibly my fault
when i first got the story event whatsitcalled, it put me on the ship and then had me immediately re-exit it. i then landed on the cathedral island accidentally (i forgot where i was going) and went inside. i realized it was the wrong place immediately and stepped back out, but my ship was completely missing
figuring i might be stuck, i went back to the cathedral to take the teleporter to the castle, and then i exited the castle to the main map
when i exit the main castle, the map is radically different from what i remember it being, and if i enter certain areas and then exit them, the map changes to a completely different format (and half of the locations dont even let me enter on this new map)
ill call them maps 1 and 2 for the sake of explanation
map 1 has no signboard above the castle to summon the ship, and the ship is not accessible from the island (i dont even see it anywhere), and it seems to be stuck in some sort of early game timeframe (trying to enter the first village gives me text to the effect of "youre ready to sack this village, good luck!" or whoever)
map 2 has a signboard to summon the ship, but things outside of the main island are radically misplaced, half of them dont work, etc etc. (the music also doesn't play when im in the ship)
when i enter a certain little passage with the ship in the area that im supposed to go, it says something like "youre almost at the destination!" and continuing through that immediately turns the screen black and freezes the game (its responsive, it just never loads anything)
unfortunately i overwrite my saves because im not the brightest bulb in the bunch, so im stuck with a save that doesnt let me progress any further
i toyed with the idea of re-playing the game using the skip function, but it puts me at a relatively low level with no items and like a whole heroine behind where i got cut off, and im not a huge fan of repeating content in general because i get distracted easy
any ideas what i can do? im like completely lost
edit: update, i teleported to sayda and moved a little bit north through a few different areas and got to the top of the continent and my rowboat was there, so i rowed back to the main island
but i was automatically put into map 2, so the same black screen glitch happened
currently testing other things
