Re: Member Announcements Thread

Hopefully you'll find something that will replace that, Squid, but aye. Could be worse. You're strong. You'll endure.

And I'll admit to googling Giraldo. I kind of recognized the name, but I'll have to dig further to see if I remember seeing him perform. Tony Curtis was in Spartacus (among other things) and is also the father of Jamie Lee Curtis, the Scream Queen.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

all my teddies and blankies where stolen by my sibling.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

:( I feel for ya. My roommate keeps trying to take my otter, and I'm like fuck no, that's my sleeping buddy.

Plus he's got a whale and a bear, so what the fuck he need my stuff for.

But yeah, sorry

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I do still have my aramdillo, even if it is pretty beat up and could use a wash...

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I still have the blue bear I've had since I was five. And I have some Pokemon plush's... Darkrai, Gallade and Infernape to be precise...

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I have a plushie Mario, Brian from family guy, Urahara, and Garra. I used to have Whinnie the Pooh and Donald Duck as well, but over the years I've sadly let them fall into disrepair - though I think one of my little brother or sisters have my Whinnie. (Donald I believe shall always be my favorite Disney character. :D )

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I have loads of furry friends...a collection of monkeys, orangutan, gibbon, an old floppy teddy bear and a newer ruby colored teddy, a few stuffed smiley faces with arms and legs. Oh yeah, a Mickey Mouse, and a frog and penguin made out of old towels... Most of them are more decorations then cuddly friends anymore though. I guess the only thing I'm missing is a cuddly Demon Girl plush ;)

:))) <-- Stuffed smiley!
^^

Re: Member Announcements Thread

Heh, I gave all my cuddlies to my smaller siblings. I have four of them, so it's evenly spread:) I figured I had them to hug instead:)

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I just kinda grew out of them shortly after I went through puberty...

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I had a friend who was into that whole beenie baby crazy when we were growing up. I never really understood it, but some were awfully cute. Mr. Wolfie is what I used to call him lol. I still have a couple she gave me back then. I miss her...

Re: Member Announcements Thread

While I gave most of my stuffed animals away when I was 15 or so, I still kept the one my father gave me. An old school Winnie the Pooh, that wasn't very cuddly... it was like some sort of hard plastic shell with scruffy fur, but yeah it was made in the 1950's...

I still have him, though I've had to replace the eyes a few times.

I also have a stuffed wolf Sly gave me for Christmas one year.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I have a kitty who likes being cuddled instead of stuffed animals. Which is good, since the one stuffed animal I liked as a kid was destroyed when our house got flooded. :(

What, no Gardevoir? :p

I've got 3 stuffed animals from when I was little still hanging around. One's a teddy bear that's almost exactly like the one Radar O'Reilly had, one's a 1-foot rabbit with articulate joints, and the last one's a 2-foot dog in the sitting position.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I've never seen a Gardevoir plush sold anyway :-/

Though I did have a Torchic plush, but my sister managed to steal that away.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

... I still have a Mewtwo plush

Re: Member Announcements Thread

We have a Pikachu around here somewhere...

Re: Member Announcements Thread

Me and my siblings had/have a wide assortment of various soft and fluff/bean filled critters. They were all very well loved back in their day, though now mostly sit around our rooms in some corner. They all had various ranks, roles and personalities within something of a hierarchy of cuddlies. There was some toy story style mentality in our heads at the time. My long lost blue rabbit is still out exploring the world. His red rabbit twin sister is still waiting for him to come back. We had a phrase we used, "Teddy Traitor!", that would be called out on anyone that ever mistreated a stuffed friend. It was actually a pretty severe offence within our house, and occasional accusations could trigger some strong emotions at times.

We all later came across the dilemma that we couldn't possibly get rid of them, didn't want to merely stuff them in a box to forget about, nor have them cluttering our rooms so much. Even now, the concept of becoming a teddy traitor is a real deterrent from heartlessly squishing them into some storage container. Just kind of wish we hadn't gotten quite so many.

...STFU. Guys can collect plushies too.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I had a baby doll that I kept with me pretty much from the crib >,>; and of course the piles of plushes in boxes in the storage units.

Re: Member Announcements Thread

I've got about...four or five 20 gallon drums filled with stuffed animals in my attic. And that's on *top* of the stuff that I've managed to accumulate *since* putting most of my plushies into tubs. I've got Final Fantasy ones, Inu-yasha ones, a Philadelphia Chicken, monkeys, cats, and then there's Snoopy. I have a Snoopy that I've had since before I can remember. He's so well-loved my aunt had to put a "collar" on him (which was fine, because Snoopy wears a black collar, heh) around his neck to keep his head from falling off. Which, when you're six, is a scary scary thing! He goes on all my trips with me, no matter what or where. He's been to Niagra Falls, Buffalo, Cleveland, Atlanta, NOLA, Phoenix, Canada, England...doesn't matter where I go or for how long, if I'm staying overnight, Snoop goes with me!
