Interesting. It's a very heavily scripted MV game. At a glance, the battle system could almost pass for something else entirely, so if it's reasonably well-designed, it could be something different and fun. Shame there's no demo, at least not yet.

I wonder how many characters are playable. The 'front five' (Tifa, Terra, Lightning, Rydia, and Yuna) all definitely are, but I don't recall seeing any of the others in combat, though they do appear to have scenes.

Also, isn't directly using this many characters from a single, well-known franchise incredibly risky?

The release is planned for 2/16, though of course there's no guarantee of that.

Also, I don't think there are any laws in Japan when it comes to using another IP's characters (regardless of how many) in a doujin game, so this should be fine. I think most companies find that litigation doesn't benefit them and if anything, this is probably free advertising.

Looking forward to this game as I don't see FF6 characters depicted very much when it comes to doujinshi in general. Also, I think FF6 is the best Final Fantasy. Hopefully it will be remade after they finish the FF7 remake ^^

Didn't Fighting Girl Sakura originally start out as a game featuring Hibari from Senran Kagura and get taken down because of that? I see Doujin games often getting away with a character's likeness as long as part of the named is made ambiguous, but this is pretty clear.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping the best for this game, but I'm nervous about how it really isn't trying to hide where it's pulling from.

Didn't Fighting Girl Sakura originally start out as a game featuring Hibari from Senran Kagura and get taken down because of that? I see Doujin games often getting away with a character's likeness as long as part of the named is made ambiguous, but this is pretty clear.

Don't get me wrong, I'm hoping the best for this game, but I'm nervous about how it really isn't trying to hide where it's pulling from.

I have yet to see an fan made game based off an SE game get taken down in the long history of FF and Dragon Quest H games. And more than a few use the original character names.

Some IP's are anal about it but most aren't cause they know how just how big doujins are. Nintendo is the only one I've seen that goes after and that's only for rom hacks.

Most devs change the names just to be safe, but in all honestly I seriously doubt most IP holders even give a damn.

Wasn't Pretty Warrior May Cry removed because some sort of copyrights problems? I vaguely recall reading something like that but honestly that would be stupid considering the huge amount of DQ hentai games on DLSite...

This doesn't have all of my favorite girls but has just enough to interest me. And I can't help but wonder if the blond goddess I see in the game would get involved in the battles or not. 10/10 if yes.

Beatrix in this style would have been amazing. I'm just hoping that more than the five characters shown are playable, mainly Lenna and Celes. Also don't recall seeing any characters from 8. Maybe there will be a sequel if this does well? If it ends up as good as it looks, I can't imagine it not doing well.

You know, thinking about this and the Senran Kagura game, I think both were problematic because they used actual assets from those games. I guess likenesses are fair game as long as it's not the original art, which is good news here.

^ There's a "Chapter 1" around the Dlsite page, maybe this is only 4-5 girls and DLC/new game/add-on later will include the remaining ones ..... Or I misread it :/

That's the name of the group, who apparently don't really know how to do romanisation (they're romanised as both CHAPTER1 and CAPTURE1).
