Is Katarina supposed to get her ass kicked by spiders and bats? I died the first time I tried to fight anything, then next try I won with 28 hp left.

So, um... I just started the new demo and I don't know what you two did, but I'm no longer having issues of boss scaling. I'm beating the crap out of the Lust Ghoul and Watery Fiend pretty effortlessly now. My Riven is at level 12, just got Blade of the Exiled, and wow... can't wait to try it out considering it has a cooldown of 10 rounds. I want to see how hard this thing hits.

EDIT: Oh, do any of the side quests have a limit for when you can do it? Like, if you pass an event, you can't do it anymore?

Some users may experience this bug, but see the

for a hotfix that will resolve the issue so that all saves can be used for this version. But if you have other saves, try them first, as they might work without the fix.

Thanks for this, I was afraid I would have to start over heh. Good lesson to learn: always have as many saves as possible, I made 16 saves on the last version of TLS.

BTW Sierra, do you hate spiders? Because in both games spiders are extremely hard. (Not that I mind the challenges ) Although in Katarina's section it's more based on RNG, I still haven't killed the two-spider encounter, (think I died 30 or so times before I started writing this) going to continue trying tomorrow, no way I'm getting past them and leaving them alive lol.

I had Katarina equipped with Assault and Shield and I beat every enemy easily. Just lead with Bouncing Blades and then follow with Sinister Steel. If any enemy still lives with that setup, a simple attack should take it out.

I reached the end of the version and only got the Katarina scene in the mines. I'm assuming one of the scenes had something to do with resting on the bed, right? Not sure why I never got that.

Just finished the latest version and I did notice something new. As soon as I recruited Katarina, I noticed that the Condition option in the main menu now comes with some new text; Affection stats for Irelia and Katarina, showing how much they like Riven. I quite like this, as it makes me think there will be multiple endings or specific scenes you can only see by persuing a relationship with your party members. So far, there's only one thing I've figured out that affects Affection, namely Irelia's. If you give away the Ceremonial Sword to save Katarina, Irelia's affection goes down by 5. Or perhaps keeping the sword brings it up by 5. Not sure which it is, I just know I had 15 Affection with her if I give the sword away and 20 if I keep it. As far as I can see, Katarina's Affection is set to 10 in this version of the game.

Hm. Am I missing something obvious? I'm in the mansion with the task of searching the bedroom for the key, but I can't seem to find it.

Aha! Figured it out after a couple reloads. The boy was getting stuck in front of the door to the kitchen, and I couldn't reach the cakes in the oven for him.

Might want to add a script that forces him to move out of the doorway before locking his position so the player doesn't get frustrated.

Yes. The first levels are painful grinding because you get owned if there's more than 1 monster. I guess some people think it's fun to kill the first enemy 10 times and going to sleep 10 times to heal.

If ya go back to the tentacle wall to the north west of the minotaur caves you'll find a game over scene, don't know if thats new or old but I thought it was pretty neat. Is there a way to raise Riven's lust? Its stuck at 48 for me.

I don't think you are talking about Katarina - there's nowhere to rest in the mines and she is already level 10. I just found it amusing how they keep on talking her as the amazing assassin and then she runs into a spider and a bat and gets destroyed. At least with Riven there's an explanation for her weak condition at the start of the game.

The problem here has more to do with the spiders being balanced for a full party and less for a single person. I should probably make two versions of them, just to give the gameplay the proper feel.

Pretty easy to keep him out. Sorry, didn't think about him wandering in there and I guess it didn't happen in any of our test games.

About the sidequests:

I only found the Rat Fur and the Eggs sidequests, but, do they drop from the tentacle mobs in the northwest part of the minotaur caves?

About the scenes:

Since there are four new ones, I assume they are the following: Closet scene, Tentacle game over scene (Unless that was also in a previous version, but I can't recall) and the 2 Katarine scenes. Unless the last one counts as a variant. I also like how Katarina gets added to the tentacle game over scene when she goes in your party, that's pretty neat.

Btw you can't see Dyu's sprite in the save profiles. Pretty sure you guys already know that but I didn't see anyone mention it.

It feels weird playing as katarina in the caves with rivens paperdoll to the side. You might want to force hide it while controlling other characters instead of making the player do it.
