Know that feel. I learned my lesson trying to play this a lot. In my opinion, this game is better if you only log in for 5 minutes to spend all your stamina, attack some bosses, then log out. It's not worth waiting on bosses or anything if you want to keep your sanity lol.
I like Pero Pero and Tentacles Tactics more. They don't shit on you for not paying constantly. Pero Pero may not be as interactive, but it knows what it is, just a card collection game. You either pay money and get the SR box girls in Pero or you don't, it's that simple. It doesn't try to trick you like Lord of Walkure does. I remember getting my first event SRs in LoW and being excited, now I know it's just a pain to receive them since they're useless without 4 copies. I don't want to toss the event cards in case they randomly show up again, but I won't be able to afford to hold onto them soon because of the inventory limit.
I think it's a really rude way to try to get people to spend money. LoW is probably the last game I'd spend money on for being so underhanded.
I'd never spend on it either unless it was the last DMM game I kept playing. At least in the other games, you get a chance to get the card/cards that are not exclusively in the boxes and even max them most of the times. The only thing they want you to do in those games is just keep playing, get levels and powerful cards, and then you can defeat bosses that drop the good cards. Sometimes you can't even miss cards that are in the boxes, cause they can be dropped by bosses as well, so you can just play all event and maybe max a card.
In LoW first of all there are too many cards only in boxes, and even the event cards don't come in 4, so someone that keeps playing the game will have really good cards at a point, and then for months he won't find any card nearly as good as those, making him totally waste his time in the game for nothing.
Still, it's a fun game, it's just that the more you play as a freebie like us, the less fun it keeps getting.
As I've said again, try other DMM games. It's got a lot there, I personally recommend two of them Goddess of defence and DanPuri(game on my sig).
Goddess is fun, you defend the lord, you get cards and max them, then combine them and get R+ or R++, and at certain levels you use scratch tickets to undress them. I think if you get R++ or so undressed you also get an H scene. As long as you play, you can probably get most event cards, at this point I manage to get 2-3 but in a while I'll probably be able to get at least 4 for a perfect card each time. After a while, you can also go semi-afk and let it farm for exp ^^
DanPuri needs more dedication, but in Xmas event I got all cards, and multiple times, and I was low level. Maybe it'll get harder after this, but still it's good, and it's dungeon hunting too.
