DLsite English is forbid Gore image / scene. I can't accept it.
But, Big ploblem in there.
If DLsite find I selling my game on other site. My game will be BAN form DLsite.

Ah ok, I understand that, then you better leave it be like it is. It is quite harsh that dlsite takes 55% of the income of a game and ban selling the games on other sites...

Battle area... you mean random encounters on the world map?

Also interesting to read about NWN, didn't know that japanese have interest in western RPGs. This is off-topic, but have you played Planescape: Torment, ILL?

1. Game will be sold only on DLsite and only in Japanese.
2. Independent English patch that is not supported or endorsed by game author will be made by 3rd party. This 3rd party could be even nasty enough to make uncensor patch.
3. Patch is free.
4. ULMF users enjoy art made by game author and keep buying it.
5. Profit

Another Question to ILL: Since pictures need to be censored on japanese sites, and I guess you have the uncensored ones because you made the game, would you be able to put an uncensor patch on your english blog (like wolfenstahl did), or would this have consequences with dlsite as well?
I guess many people would pay extra for uncensor patches to japanese games (I would) .

I'll add world / town random encounter at some sopt in main story.
but Demo Version haven't any random entounter.

Almost Japanese not interest in western RPGs.
but some of these are famous (i.e.TES IV & V, Fallout3, diablo)
And I dosen't have played Planescape: Torment.
I played some other minor RPG (Arcanum, Fallout I & II...etc), but it's not. I wonder why.

I hate censored too. I hate DLsite style too.
but I can't do it in this case.
If a person except me obtains the uncensored file by some kind of methods
and distributes a patch, I don't know result by performing it.

Possibly I may take a way like kyrieru in the future.

Anyway, that's just some mildly interesting information. If I were in your position, I certainly wouldn't take the chance, especially considering that the Tentaculairy developers have only managed to sell 30 copies (and hence DLSite probably doesn't care what they do).

I put almost wildcard into hash and create data file in title scene.
but result is not change.
I'll give up FPS improvement in this game. I have no time to this now.

Never intended that you should disadvantage Japanese buyers, certainly.

And that FPS improvement idea was pretty much all I could come up with looking at the code. Unless I've missed something, I really don't think there's anything else that can be done; sorry it didn't work out. If I come up with anything else I'll make sure to do some proper tests - although, like I said, don't count on that.

Well, you could theoretically pirate the game and donate, giving ILL most of the money instead of having DLsite cutting his balls off (the way I do it).

Of course, the reality is that many would pirate and not donate if the game is widely available on torrent ...etc

Judging by the demo quality and preview you get, you can't even really pull the "I wouldn't have paid for it anyway" crap without being an obvious scumbag liar. There's no reason not to pay / support ILL.

What *ahem* a fan might theoretically do is to hand out download link to the full game by pm, but only to those who could provide a screenshot of their donation. Realistically though that won't work as the more popular / high quality games will always get torrents and pirate coverage from sites like 4daily.

At least ILL is doing what he can to minimize this as best as possible, and I'm certain he'll get a decent sale figure while establishing his name in the field.


On the topic of censor patch and English patch: I'm certain someone unrelated to ILL will provide all that, to the express disapproval and protest from ILL. Good games tend to get fan mods and tweak with or without the author's approval

That's what i planned to do anyways. Since I have no Credit Card I cannot buy games by DLSite, but I still want to support him, so he is going to make more games

see, if it was anyone else, i admit, i would probably just pirate it, but considering Ill has an account here, has actually spoke with the fans, when i get my hands on it, i'm going to donate however much the game costs on DLSite via paypal,

it would end up being more money for ILL anyway, because DLsite wouldn't be taking half of it.

Few notes
Holding down A key "speeds" the game up
The S key while out of combat, will make you jump
Pressing S key while in combat is like a "pass turn" and gives the mobs a turn to attack/move etc
Press Shift during combat for menu options
Left/right keys changes menu pages in the skills page
(jump skill is on page 1 2SP)

(Right click and "save as")
The video is about 50MB H.264, and isn't intended for streaming (it will say corrupted video if you try to stream it)

anyway, go to the arrow pointer, press shift key -> page 1 select 2 SP thing -> select target area on cliff and hit confirm button to jump, after the speech, press S to jump off edge
