Helena finally looks up properly, and something about the girl's eyes sets her hair on end...

Finally clearing her throat softly, Helena stops again to collect her thoughts. "My name is Helena, and I acted in haste and anger, I took a life and I need to make things right, I... I Just..."

Helena wraps her arms over her chest and shudders at the memory of that night, so recent and still painful, the cries and pleas of Selene, her own cruelty, the tears that had run down Willow's face, and all of it pointed to her making a grave error. The more she dwelled on it, the more ashamed of her own actions she became.

Trying to speak again and faltering, she finally chokes out in little more then a whisper, "I made a mistake, it needs to be corrected..."

Shariel looks at Helena. "Curious. It takes an extraordinary person to bother me for something like that. You do not even seek power. What are you willing to pay for that?"

Helena shifts uneasily "Why would I want power, it seems to be a petty thing to ask for. As for what I would pay to undue what I've done..."

Helena goes completely silent, her eyes focusing on something not there as the whole event played through her mind again, as if a price would really be put on what she was asking, and she had no idea what a demon would ask in return...

"What do I have to do." she finally says, her eyes downcast...

Shariel is silent for a moment, then she she starts uttering words of power that make Helena's hair stand out as the ancient succubus looks into her soul. Suddenly there's a brief flash of agony and when Helena recovers, she can see that Shariel is holding a glowing object on her hand. "I've hit a problem with my negotiations with the dragon. There's a rakshasa village quite close, but they refure to acknowledge his power, or to pay his taxes. I'll return this to you once you've solved that problem."

Helena grits her teeth as the girl does something, a massive surge of power flowing from her in waves that terrifies Helena, and then, Pain, unbelievable pain. Helena opens her mouth to scream, but it passes as quickly as it came and as her vision clears, she finds she's fallen to one knee, shaking...

Looking up and staring at Shariel and the object in hand, Helena bites her tongue and doesn't speak, simply nodding. "I'll handle it, anything you ask... Thank you Lady..."

Standing and recovering for a moment, Helena asks what direction the village lies in before turning and striding from the room. *Will you be helping? or am I on my own for this Jasmine...* Helena cant keep the nerves from creeping over the link, but she set her jaw, she'd do it one way or another, she'd come this far...

Shariel waves to somewhere in the opposite direction from the cave entrance to indicate the location. Jasmine follows Helena as she turns to leave. *I'll come with you. We'll see what needs to be done.*

Helena lets her shoulders relax at the news that Jasmine would be coming with, relieved. This place had been a pain in the ass just to get this far, she had no idea how to convince an entire village of Rakshasa, whatever the hell they were, to pay heed to a dragon, which sounded like the usual, fly in and burn everything to the ground in a fit of rage hadn't worked... *What's a Rakshasa.....*

As Helena and Jasmine make their way out, they find the hellhounds sleeping near the entrance, though their heads immediately rise to see who is coming. *Rakshasa are to cat people what fae are to elves. Dangerous, powerful and inhuman.*

Helena thinks for a minute before just resigning herself to how much this could possibly suck... *So... How do we make them acknowledge a Dragon... Because that sounds suspiciously like the usual, burn down your village and eat all your cattle until you do, didn't work.....* She says, launching into the air and moving in the approximate direction of the village...

Jasmine follows Helena, flying upwards through the poisonous red mists. *It's likely that there's something already protecting them. We'll have to convince them that the dragon can do that better.*

*Greaaat..... Would embarrassing said protector accomplish this?* Helena asked as she rose higher still, trying to get a bird's eye view of the village as she continued to move in the indicated direction...

As the pair rises above the mountain, they see numerous hills in the direction they're going, but no signs of the village. *Possibly. It's hard to say what the rakshasa think of anything, though.*

*we'll just have to play it by ear then* Helena says with the mental equivalent of a sigh, part of her was glad that this was a possibility at all, the other part of her knew she would have to be the demon she was to pull this off. So humanity, what was left of it anyway, and there wasn't much, got tucked away for now...

Helena looks at the hills as they pass the mountain and figures the village would most likely be nestled within a group of them, intentionally looking for clusters of hills and checking the valleys between...

As Helena looks at the barren hills, Jasmine takes a lead, heading slightly to the left. After a long while, a small forest comes to the view, the trees in it either strange and tainted with demonic essence, or dead or dying.

Helena finally chuckles and remembers she's in Hell. Reaching out with her mind instead, she didn't try and focus on anything really, instead looking for the large collection of emotions that would signal a large group of people. hopefully it would stick out like a beacon and make this search a lot easier. Finally taking note of the twisted forest, Helena swallowed nervously and continued searching...

The village is located in the middle of the forest, and turns out to be little more than a collection of crude huts populated by the rakshasa. They look as if someone had made a tiger bipedal, given it hands that are wrong way around and dressed the result in animal skins and golden jewelry.

Helena sighs when she finds the village, and makes a single slow pass, observing the creatures. How strange they were indeed! and she had to convince them to pay homage to a Dragon? This was going to be painfully interesting and annoyingly difficult. Landing on the outskirts of the village, she simply stood there, watching everything carefully... *SO! Any ideas? And are there any social graces I should know about before I make a royal ass of myself?*

Well... If they were anything like the cats they resembled, then simply striding in like she owned the place would actually most likely work. Simply keeping her head high and her eyes forward, Helena strode into the village, heading for the largest hut, the first step was always gathering information...
