HOW I PASS THE TUTORIAL?
You might notice a double jump feature by pressing
A+UP ARROW in mid air I repeat in MID AIR!

Because if your not in mid air its called a jump
and what you are looking for is a double jump!
Tough luck after thy tutorial!

ok i got into the part with all the mini platforms surrounded by tentacle water and died.... fml i give up on this game

you can use cheat engine to get 99 lives though, try reading the thread and the old one .

Since I know there is no chance of this game actually being completed I wanted to ask if anybody knew with what programs and how this game was made. I have no idea how to program, nor make a game, but I'd still be willing to see if it's within my capabilities if I knew what tools to use. I'd probably need a lot of help, but again I'm willing to try, maybe even find out how to speed up the slowness in some parts of the animations. I'm not saying I will do it, but if anyone wants to lend a hand towards some information on the engine used or give me that hopeful light that it could be done then I am willing to try.

well most likely something oldschool, but if your interested in making games most people start with RPGmaker first but you probably already know this

No offense, but most people start with RPGmaker if they're making an RPG. For an ero action platformer, Game Maker or something similar would be a better choice.

Part of the charm of this game was the creator's detailed work on original sprite animations. Well, actually, that's pretty much the entire draw of it. The gameplay was problematic to say the least, as the game was anything but user friendly. Granted, it's hard to complain too seriously since those were only test versions released, and the second one was actually better than the first.

If anyone is planning on picking up work on this game though (while xblurp mentioned it, this is directed at everyone!), I have a few things to say: even if the creator takes forever between updates, it doesn't mean they're not working on it. And even if they're not, they made those animations. Don't start putting something together using those without permission. And from what I've heard in this case, you're not likely to get it. Secondly, I hope you can do sprite animations. Very, very well. That's pretty much what this game has going for it so far, so without that, it becomes...not a whole lot.

Honestly though? I fully support anyoen who wants to make their own game (notably, it is a lot of work and 90-95% give up before it gets anywhere close to done), then I fully support that, but I would recommend starting with your own original work.

Thats why i said RPG maker as it would be his first attempt. but yeah i agree that game maker games are usually of a much nicer standard, but there are some RPG maker games with added in custom animations which fucking rock sometimes lol

Thank you for the information. I'm guessing there isn't a way of asking the creator from what I have read about this game in the forum.If there is then I'd like to ask for permission. In the mean time however I guess I'll just toy around with rpg maker. Thanks again.

Trust me, I'd like to see more done with this idea as a starting point as much as, if not more than anyone else. But the creator behind this particular game is notoriously hard to keep track of. Unfortunately, neither is he (assuming it is a he) one of the few Japanese doujin devs I've had the pleasure of chatting with, so I'm not sure what his disposition toward others using his work. The safe thing to assume here, though, is that he really, really won't like it, to the point of trying to shut out all foreigners (us) from accessing his work ever again, as that is generally the case.

It sucks, but this is generally the kinds of things we just have to deal with.

so yeah back to the question at hand. what cheat engine did you use to get extra lives because i tried THE cheat engine and that didnt work

The variables in the game aren't set on random so you only have to find once them and then you are all set.

I use cheat engine 6.1 and it works like a charm.

Here is my cheat file if you don't want to bother searching.

yeah i loaded your file, then the game and selected the process but it wont activate the time hack or the life hack... maybe its different on your system to mine

Just wondering if theres a new update that I've missed. Though I have found a couple of new sprites here:



in this sprite pack numbers 6/29/43 are the ones of kai.

I know 29 was in the first trial release of Legend of Kai.
The above quote planted a seed in the field my being.... and with time that seed grew and sprouted the most peculiar red and black colored sprout... I stood quietly looking over said sprout and allowed it to grow. And grow it did, two days later a faced this incredibly large, thick and robust vine... "let's see what it's capable of" I told myself as I reached for an oil lamp. Upon hurling the oil lamp toward the black and red spiral and watching it as it shattered allowing the flames to engulf the vine, I saw the most beautiful incendiary dance of passion and desire... THE PASSION AND DESIRE THAT BURNS IN MY HEART TO LOOK FOR NEW MATERIAL FOR THIS ULTIMATE FRUSTRATING GAME!!

And so with a burning heart and fueled by the rage of finding nothing but dead ends or discontinued links and 404's as well as 405's and 505's... I channeled my Search FU Like never before... Tier VI to be precise. And so, I proudly bring upon you...

...the results of my 6 hours of searching.

Be advised: ...it might be old or it might be new, but regardless... It's different, and it's available considering that all other links are down or non existent (Except for this one provided by Kakalun [Thanks~]). Plus so far I found 2 new animations that I don't remember and you restart in the same room if you die!

Well this version seems more bearable and better than the previous version. Note that I am referring to the version with the end boss. Like Dry-Drop said, if you die/lose a life/whatever, you replay the floor, not the entire game. Of course, if you get a game over, you gotta restart whole game again. The chests with extra lives are still in here. The introduction tutorial level is gone thankfully, and there are now 10 floors to traverse before you get to the Queen floor, except, for some reason, there isn't a seventh floor. It goes right from the 6th floor to the 8th. Wonder what was on that floor...
The enemies from the last version are also in here: the slime pools, the black ceiling slimes, the blue and red face slimes, the slime queen, and the big green slimes. There are also new enemies too, each with their own rape animation, except for the spitting slimes, but I'll get to that. There are now smaller slimes that will hurt you, no rape. They come in green, blue, yellow, black, and red. There are green slimes on the ceilings that will just spit... um, slime, I guess? Also, the small red, yellow, and blue slimes will also spit at you. That's its own death animation. There are big slimes as well that have different colors. Aside from the comeback of the green slime, there are also a black and red big slime. Also, is it me or does the big black slime death make your character look like a slime version of robo-cop?
That's about it, the regular enemies still have their own animations and the game ends after you beat the boss. In my opinion, though, it still feels weird that with all of these additions, there are still no slime enemies that totally engulf your character. Other than the slime pools and the boss's second death animation, it feels like there should be more that do that. Also, in my opinion, it would be cool if the mimic chest had its own death animation, like it pulls you in and then spits out your clothes and the rod thing. Oh well, can't always have what you want. Maybe if there is a next one, there will be more animations that will float everyone's boat.

I can't for the life of me remember or figure out how to get her to slide across the ground.
