Will it be a Zelda like game with items that effect stuff and shit, an action rpg like game secret of mana/Crystalis or a over the top dungeon crawler?I would like it so it wasn't a side-scrolling game actually, so we would need sprites of the heroine from all sides. But that's just my opinion.
The reason I'm not using another program to make it is that I want this to be a learning experience for me, and I won't learn much with just using a program.
I have actually thought of doing something similar to that. Not characters based off ULMF members but characters in SBS as well as the rest of my own characters and anyone elses if they wanted them added. When i saw 'using ulmf ideas and characters' the first thing i thought of was a side scrolling fighting game using characters (both player and enemy) based off ulmf members.
Well, I would be using gamemaker to program since I'm really slow at programming, but I agree that using major programming languages has more capabilities than the GML. I too have not much going on within these 3 months so I'm trying to get busy somehow instead of lying around. So, a 2D game in Java? Depending on your way of drawing the graphics I might be able to lend a hand in the programming aspect since I have worked a bit with graphics rendering in Java. Im also gonna have loads of free time during the coming 3 months.
Also, @People suggesting using Game maker: Java is way more powerful than GML which game maker uses. Java might be a bit more complicated and take more time, but it's funnier, faster, system independent, it can be deployed on the web and it provides a better learning experience. If you apply for a job in the industry, they won't ask if you know game maker. They will ask what types of major programming languages you know. If Java is one of them then your chances of getting an employment increases.

I know that there are games made in java, but I hear that C++ is the ideal choice to make games. I hear and read it all the time. But it depends on what a company needs so I won't rule out java.
I've been wanting to make an awesome hentai game because like I said, MOST hentai games are horrible.
Yes :|No :|
Animating tentacles isn't that hard to do...actually it's pretty easy to get right the first time animating it. Not only that, it's pretty fun to animate tentacles.I got some experience in sprite customs...
I already did one for Lila, I could probably do more...
Pixel art isn't that hard to do... And I always have SOME time to spare...
Doing an enemy though might be interesting... Never animated tentacles before... Might be fun!
CorrectIt'll be in... 2D with angles from every side of her?
2D, and not a sidescroller?
I imagine the game alot like this, but it's mostly up to you guysWill it be a Zelda like game with items that effect stuff and shit, an action rpg like game secret of mana/Crystalis or a over the top dungeon crawler?
Those types of games except rape included?
I personally would like to see a hentai punch out game except instead of punching you grope the woman till she climaxs and you have dodge her breasts(no punching all her attacks are giant boobs whacking you in the face they increase in bust as the game progresses) but this is just one of my crazy ideas that i get.
oh yea is pic related could it be the style 8way directional you want collide with something smex happens?
sounds great, hit me up on MSN, [email protected]I have actually thought of doing something similar to that. Not characters based off ULMF members but characters in SBS as well as the rest of my own characters and anyone elses if they wanted them added.
But to OP; I'm actually working on a game myself, not anything hentai-related it's a 2D sidescrolling RTS. I'm doing all the graphics for it and a friend is programming it, however I've never made animated sprites before so it'll be a learning opportunity for me. Once I've done some that I'm satisfied with I'll send them to you to give you examples of what I can do, and if you're interested and like what I can do I can help if you want.
Just using the AWT package and creating a buffer strategy, pretty easy stuff. So add me on msn tooSo, a 2D game in Java? Can you make sprites in any size, right?
Awesome, do you have some examples of your work?Did I hear someone looking for a musician/ soundguy?
*Wonderboy has been added to your party.*
I completely forgot about sound to be honest lol. Awesome be sure to add me on MSNDid I hear someone looking for a musician/ soundguy?

I guess you should hang around and lurk here for a while. I'm more of the visual artist and I already got a programmer on board to help me out with our game. We'll be making our own thread and later on a development site so people can keep up with our progress. We can certainly use a sound person and we'll certainly let you showcase your work if you choose to join the team.I'm afraid I don't have a huge amount of work up online, partly because once it's there, as an artist, you will never get it back, and you will only rarely be able to make claims to it.
I do haveYou must be registered to see the linksthough... It's not really my genre, but I did it as a free project to learn some of the ins and outs of Ableton Live. (I love that program...)
I also play guitar, harmonica and piano, so don't limit yourself to just technology based music. A little soft guitar in the background of a menu screen or something shouldn't be underestimated
Tell me the style you want, and I'll provide

No this thread is about getting ideas for a possible ULMF project...and so far the ideas thrown here is based on the shenanigans on this site. I don't know if a game like that is going to be fun to work with.Isn't this our own thread? I'm confused
