For this kind of RP yeah, blood boil I would say is far too OP. Although technically Aya has a similar ability, although she has to WILLINGLY want to kill someone, and there is still a chance if you can get past the pain of taking her out before she can actually kill you with her combustion power.


On a side note, blood boil would NOT kill anything undead.

And yeah, Sanguine Vampirus is definitely an exotic brand of vampire for sure. I would like to see what you have in mind Tenta before I comment on the idea of another vampiric being.

Well I was thinking of maybe a vampire/dhampire who practices bloodmagic. She would have the blood alchemy, ability to create homunculi, turn into a swarm of bats or rats, a dire wolf, and mist, and make people's blood boil/explode inside them. (I have limiters for all of these. Like the blood boil, she has to rest or unable to use the power again for a whole day/per person with a maximum of 7 targets. Her mist form only lasts for 30 minutes, her dire wolf form and swarm form only for 10 minutes at a time and only certain number of times. The blood alchemy is only 3 times per hour. )

Vampire I've got no problem with though you'll obviously have to come up with a reason/way around the obvious sunlight weakness and need to drink blood. Like I said on your profile you'll have to talk to Bartnum about having Basque Grand's abilities because its kind of treading in Corax's domain. Also, Basque Grand's alchemy only uses a small amount of the metal compounds in his blood, he primarily uses the metal he's got on him/around him. I also don't mind you having multiple forms, but we need more than just time limits, and to be honest I think that 30 minutes for mist form is a bit long. And the blood boil is a big no way regardless of how you limit it or what other people say because whatever way you look at it it'll be too OP no matter what you do to it. I'm a bit iffy with the whole homulculi business, I'll not say anything about it until you explain how it works/creates them.

Okay so a no on the blood boil, and I can reduce the mist form to 10 minutes like the wolf and swarm form. The homnculous is like a small demon/creature that is formed by the caster's blood, not anything crazy like the FMA homuncli. I took it from a DND prestige class, the Blood Mage. I'll have to look around the net for the specifics as I don't have access to the rulebook. I think it's just like a special familiar for that prestige class, Oni. Are dhampires like Blade or Alucard free from the vamp weaknesses and dependencies? I was also thinking of having enhanced strength,speed, and healing like vamps as well as possibly having claws as well. Thoughts?

I have the book so I know what you're talking about. So long as you make its abilities/strengths/creation limit then yeah, you can have it. So you're talking about a modified vampire then? If you're going for that then yes, but you'll have to drop the transformation ability because as far as I'm aware Blade cant/doesnt transform and Alucard is the original vampire, from what I remember no other vampire in Hellsing has the power to transform, or at least into multiple forms. Enhanced strength and speed I'll allow but I'll need to know to what extent. I'm assuming your character will be a young vampire (given the RP setting) so it wont be able to be crazy strong/fast. Also, if you want health regeneration then the best way in my opinion to do it is for your character to have to drink blood.

Okay. And I meant the REAL Alucard, like from Symphony of the Night, the badass Castlevania one. > I think only once or twice a day for the homunculous should be alright. Right no lifting trucks or anything. Maybe twice the strength of a human being, does that sound acceptable? I'll have to think some more about what it should be able to do. And the blood drinking sounds alright as well. If I have to, I can do without the alternate forms.

The real Alucard? Then we're talking about Alucard from Hellsing. Every other vampire is pussy Edward compared to him. And twice the strength of a human is acceptable, it can go a little higher without any problems as well. That just leaves your speed and the abilities/strengths etc... of your homunculus.

Well speed is normally used for dodging attacks, though Isabella for example, is faster than an olympic runner though she'd find it hard to dodge even a punch from a normal person. I guess speed isn't quite the right term, but its what everyone uses. Also, I'm not too familiar with how fast certain animals run, so it would be easier to judge it in human runner terms, like Emily is as strong as three heavy weight boxers due to her gloves, and she's naturally fast though she couldn't outrun Isabella.

Hrm...well your character does have a lot of abilities as well as increased strength, and while I wouldn't say no to being able to dodge the occasional bullet (which I'm sure some of you already can) speed to that degree for your character would be out of the question. Your character can be a fair bit faster than a normal human though.

I already said no to the alternate forms. And I'd say 1.5x would be good enough, what with your 2.5x strength and other abilities. And Bart has said you can have the blood alchemy as long as we know its limits. We'll still need to know stuff for the homunculus as well.

For a reference Oni, a Cheetah tops out at about 60 mph for speed. It also could not dodge a bullet unless it was at a fair range, anything close the reaction time wouldn't be there.


While Siphon has the ability to put on significant bursts of speed, there is a bit of a delay between exiting said burst and him actually able to do anything again (decided a full post turn to simulate the time, so if he bursts at you to close, unless he directly hits you on the burst, something I leave up to other people to determine based on their own stats, his 'turn' has ended right there and you get a chance to have a turn yourself).

I suppose in theory he COULD dodge bullets using that, but given the limitation on how often and effectively it could be used, it'd be a waste of time to do it imo.

You also might want to consider where the blood is coming from, whether it be the drinking of animal blood, or whether some kind of benefactor (mysterious or not) occasionally drops off a limited package?

Like the idea, but from a character standpoint consider one thing.

If your going around killing people or taking blood from the unwilling, and Siphon finds out ... Well suffice it to say he's not going to keep quiet about it. Be prepared for a confrontation, though I admit, it would be an awesome scene, and I'm half hoping it happens.
