Claire sat up, properly. The corner of her lips lifted slightly in a tired smile.

"The corpse was there when we got there. Good and dry on the floor," she explained. She wanted to shoot something off but she felt almost exhausted. She just wanted to rest, and she knew this 'doctor' in front of her had something to do with it.

She pressed a thumb and forefinger against the bridge of her nose.

"Seriously, can we get on with it?" she said quietly

Leonardo didn't respond to the question about who produced his books, either not paying attention, or pretending not to.

"Kindred, hmph." Leonardo said derisively. "A blood-sucker by any other name. If you're done spinning your story, may we be on our way? The sooner I get this over with the sooner I can get on with my eternity."

Eve struggled to control her temper. "Well, even if you don't tell us, the Prince will get it out of you, one way or the other:"

Dr. Frieda smiles as she answers Claire's question, "I wish I could continue on with your training, alas I was only given permission to tire you enough. Prince Ken will personally take care of the rest of your training over the next few nights. Stay here now and try to rest for a little while, I'll be around if feel the need to talk. At least until the Prince arrives that is."

With that Dr. Frieda gets up and leaves Claire to her own devices in the interview room.

"Well I guess if we all agree on what's to be said, I'm ready to go. I figure bringing the professor along will satisfy all the questions they had in regards to our mission. One of you bring him and the book along I'll take the body by myself, just in case something else happens. Hopefully it doesn't take to long once we get there, I feel awfully hungry after all this."

Ronny said aloud as he stood watching the rest of them, noticing Eve's posture he thinks to himself at least I'm not the only one.

Claire ran her hands through her hair. She felt like sleeping, like just passing out. She hadn't felt this tired since she was alive. Still sitting in the chair, she wondered what the Prince was going to do with her now.

Raven gets and answering squeeze and for the moment, she tucks a little closer to him.

"Maybe you can go after we turn in the book," Izzy suggests to Fletch. "For now, united front and all that." She frowns a little at Leo's remarks and then a little smile pulls at the corners of her lips. "Raven and I'll take the professor," she offers. Ronny's got the body and she figured if they let him go with Eve and Fletch, he might not make it to the courthouse, much as that thought amused her.

As the others clear out, she heads to the door with the older man. "You may think Kindred's just another name, but it's more of a title, something that you'll likely be learning a lot more about. One piece of advice," she says, glancing over at him, "which is the same piece of advice we all got: These folks are old, powerful, and the ones with titles require respect. You're going to be meeting with some very important folk. Keep that in mind."

With that, she'll head to her car, making sure Leo's coming along with. All things considered, she helps Raven into the back seat and lets Leo take shotgun, partially to keep an eye on him and partially, well, she figures him climbing into the back would be difficult, vampire or no.

If they're all set and settled, she'll drive them back to the courthouse and either meet with the others outside or wait for the rest of them to arrive.

As Izzy's car is quickly filled up, Fletch silently groans. He walks over to Eve's bug - the car that got him into this entire bloodsucking mess - and regards it with a look of resignation. Seems like he's going to have to squeeze into the clown car. He likes Eve, he really does, but her car... The large man leans against the Beetle, waiting for Eve to arrive and trying not to look too disappointed.

Eve giggled a little, mood shifting and knowing from past experience that Fletch is not happy in her car. With a grin she walked over and slipped inside, trying to ignore the gnawing hunger that was plaguing her. "Sorry, Fletch. Maybe you won't have to ride with me next time." she grinned.

Fletch smirks, knowing he's been busted. "If I come around to do it," he says as he leans into the car and pushes the passenger seat all the way back, "I'll build myself a mobile haven. Got an SUV standing around on my yard somewhere." He sighs as he forces himself into the bug, his knees at an awkward angle still. "Weld the windows in the back shut, putting in a wall to the driver's cabin..." Fletch's green eyes wander into the distance for a moment, and he sighs wistfully. "Maybe I'll do a road trip once I'm done with it."

Leonardo made his way to Izzy's car. "I understand that. You needn't lecture me girl, on how to act. I am more than capable of taking care of myself." He said, sitting down in the passenger seat, the book on his lap. "Those who deserve respect shall recieve it. I'm no fool." He added.

"You should." She assured him, starting the car. "It's a great way to meet new people and to really get a feel for freedom." she smiled wistfully. "I've never gotten the chance, but my parents used to tell me all about the places they've gone." The she chuckled. "Of course, now you'd have to check in with every Prince along the way."

"Ah, shit. I forgot about that." Fletch growls and taps his fingers on his leg nervously. "All of this politic shit... makes me wonder if there are any of these anarchists running around here." He sneers. "But then again, I'd just have to bow to somebody else. It's all the same shit, isn't it?" He bares his teeth for a moment before sighing and deciding to change the subject. "Hey, do you want to go hunting together later on? We could hit the clubs, tap a pervert, that kind of stuff."

She patted her tummy as she drove, following the other back. "Yes. Most definitely yes. I didn't have much luck last night, so I'm getting close to the dangerous side of hungry." She gave an almost wolfish grin. "With the two of us, we should have more luck."

As Claire sat thinking about her current situation, she suddenly heard footsteps running through the hallway outside the door followed by a dull klaxon throughout the building.

Ronny makes his way to the car containing the body of the young hospice worker and pulls out of the driveway. Making sure he drives perfectly within the law he takes a little longer to arrive at the courthouse than the others.

Raven settles just fine into the backseat of Izzy's car. He surreptitiously keeps an eye on Leonardo the whole way to the court house, though no one notices him keeping an eye on the old man.

None of the coterie notices anything out of the ordinary as they make their way to the courthouse.

"Well fuck... that's a bad sign," she said, forcing herself out of the chair, trying to push away the fatigue that had settled over her mind. She moved towards the door, reaching out to test the knob.

"And damnit... I better get my jacket back,"

Izzy shares a look with Raven through her rearview mirror at Leo's words, the motion of it casual enough that it just looks like a normal portion of her driving. If it's one thing he gets out of the look, it's that she's wondering if this is worth it.

Once they've all gathered, it's around to the back where they're usually let in, and hopefully most of the elder Kindred are still convened for the night. If not, at least they might be able to hook up with River or Jack to find out how to finish things off. The longer they delayed here, though, the worse it would be for Claire, likely.

Raven notices the look form Izzy, but he doesn't say anything. Though he certainly looks as if he would like to say something. He even begins to open his mouth as if he's going to, but then he remembers the other person in the car with and stops himself.

Ronny's trip to the courthouse goes by without a hitch, and after parking the vehicle across the street he makes his way over to rejoin with the others around towards the back where they usually enter. Finding Izzy, Raven, and Leonardo he waits for the rest of them to arrive.

Just as Claire starts reaching for the door knob to test it, she hears the sounds of footsteps stop just outside the door. The sound of someone trying to find the right key for the door follows soon after.

Eve grins once more at Fletch as they pull in and get out to join the others. "I can almost taste dinner now. Just one more rescue mission. Shouldn't take us too long."

Claire moved away from the door, even getting up on top of the table. She fell into a fighting stance, wondering what was about to happen once that door opened.

Jack opens the door before the coterie even reaches the back of the building, apparently somewhat confused by the addition of Leonardo. When they get closer he makes a gesture as if doffing his hat, despite the fact he isn't wearing one.

"So what do we have here, a fresh one I see. Just please tell me one of you didn't make him. There's already enough problems without fresh ones showing up weekly. Well go ahead and go on up to the main chamber and take him with you, when the prince finishes up with his current problem he'll take care of you."

Before they go head in though he stops them, and pats each of them down. Removing the revolver from Leonardo's pocket.

"Almost forgot, just get back with me when you go to leave and you can have it back."

Whoever is trying to get in the room where Claire is waiting finally finds the correct key, and as the door slowly opens she sees a blond kindred woman enter the room backwards. The woman looks to be about twenty years old, and is dressed the same as Claire. Reaching up with a bloody hand she closes the door quietly, and begins to turn around.
