It's really hard to tell whether seeing this as a disaster is over reacting, or whether this really is a big event altering the future of what anime, manga and Japanese games will be allowed to be. This does of course especially cover Hentai also. Though without any solid information yet, it's hard to tell what this means to individuals and the doujin hentai community. It seems like it would be enough to give the likes of Eluku and the ROA people a scare at least until the details emerge. For ero gaming developers like Illusion though, it seems more like the new law gives them little option other than to simply up and close shop.

Sankaku Complex is quite blatant in it's rather sensationalist reporting style, so I normally take anything said there with a grain of salt. But with publishers and broadcasters already making cancellations, something is definitely happening.

I can only imagine the vast amounts of furious moon speak flooding the various Japanese boards right now.

As much as this statement doesn't really make all that much sense, even in jest (as Dark pointed out), I find myself in agreement with the sentiment because if you give a baby a knife the first thing it will most likely do is try to swallow it.

And then there will be one less smelly, screaming baby in the world.... and I can't think of a single scenario where that would be a bad thing.

That's nice and all, though to quote the guy on the phone from 'The Taken'; "Good luck." I find it difficult to believe that's the only thing causing damage in a 'toxic home.' I'm guessing there's privacy concerns, however awkward it might be.

...And what about all the media/advertising and commercial products already aimed at children (some newspaper stories mentioning this and that), that possibly does the same thing?
