The breakfast goes quietly, probably because Red doesn't have Strike to play with. As she finishes eating, Ginny pulls up her wrist computer. "Oh hey, there's a flight to Los Angeles this afternoon. We can probably get a flight from there to New York so that we'll be in the big apple by morning local time."

"Great! Ill get packed and ready and well all head out when its time!" Helena pushed away from the table and ran upstairs to get her admittedly small amount of belongings packed up before opening the window and jumping, floating in the air she remembered where Joseph's house was and flew off to make sure he was alright, failing that she would just zip around on the rooftops and watch people until she found something that looked like fun...

Ginny merely nods as Helena leaves, and the others start getting up as well. Strike is waiting for Helena on the roof, and she stares as the succubus flies by.

It's easy to find the right area, but there seem to be dozens of similar looking apartment buildings there, and little hint as for which is the right one.

Helena lands on a nearby roof and starts casting around for Joseph with her mind, if he wasn't here then Helena would let it go and just enjoy the city.

With some effort Helena manages to track Joseph down to a particular building, and she finds the apartment. No-one opens when she knocks the door, though.

Helena sighs and bangs on the door some more, before getting annoyed and using her magic to force the lock, it wasn't difficult, you just had to force the pins on the top and bottom into place and the door opened easy as pie.

"Hello? Joseph?"

It soon becomes apparent why finding him was so difficult - probably not so much because of the "protective amulets" he has covered himself with (as most of them are junk and the remaining probably interfere with each other), but because he's roaring drunk, smelling of cheap vodka (the kind that's made by mixing industrial alcohol with real vodka and water). "Shtay away from me, schluccubys!"

"Joseph... What are you doing, did you really think your little game with the drugs Wasn't going to bite you in the ass? Be glad I didn't eat your soul, I was feeling generous. I hear that you've been drugging women again, and I am going to drag you to hell myself. Stop Drinking, Clean up, throw away the garbage amulets, and for the love of god find some confidence in yourself."

Helena is more disappointed then annoyed, but depending on the sleezes answer she could very well still finish what she started...

Joseph throws the remaining contents of the bottle he's holding at Helena's face. "By the power of th-the..." He pauses to look at the etiquette. "Th' Garyal I compa... compe... compass you! Begone!"

"Okay. That tears it." Helena strode forward, beyond pissed. Her experiences recently had left their mark on the woman and her temper was nearing a point that would be considered dangerous to anyone.

She had given the idiot the chance to learn, and since it was obvious he wasn't then it was better that he never had the chance to take advantage of someone else again. Bending her will against Joseph with thunderous strength she willed him to fall silent and collapse, she was going to rip his mind asunder...

As Helena strikes out with her mind, she finds mere mist where his mind should be. Joseph stumbles backwards to a table and tries to light a candle with shaking hands.

Helena snorts with derision. "Go ahead and drown in alcohol." Turning sharply she strides out of the room and then the building, looking for something fun to distract her from the pathetic excuse of a man.

The city is teeming with people, but most of them are going on about their daily business. Still, in a city like this it should be easy enough to find entertainment regardless of the time of the day, whether it's museums or something more modern.

Helena is tired of museums and science and everything that went with it. poking around the city, Helena searched for the sound of music, looking for a stage performance or a dance, hell, even a club to cut loose in and just enjoy the day would be nice. But she was in the mood to groove~

After some searching, Helena finds a club with live music. The entrance is free even with the band, since it's daytime, and it turns out to be a much better class of a place than it looked from outside, with the band playing ancient jazz titles competently if not brilliantly. The business seems slow despite everything, and there's maybe a score of customers all together, most of them staring into their classes or simply listening the music. The bartender seems to be more interested in drying glasses and listening to the music than serving customers, though he gives Helena a friendly nod as she enters.

Helena orders a light drink and listens to the music, she loved Jazz. Problem seemed was that no one was dancing! which was a travesty of the highest order. Walking into the center of the club Helena discreetly willed a filling of just general joy and excitement into the patrons there and grabbed the first man that looked interested "Dance with me! come on... Please~?"

The man smiles as Helena pulls him into the dancefloor, and the band changes a tune to something more danceable. Soon a few other pairs start dancing as well, and the atmosphere rises.

Helena claps her hands to the beat while she dances and smiles wide, willing the atmosphere to pick up a little more, This was the kind of fun she was after. Just a bunch of people living in the moment like they were supposed to, ahh it was beautiful.

Grabbing the mans hand, Helena twirled under him and moved to the music. This was what Jazz was about, living it up and loving every minute...

The dancing goes on for a good while, and Helena starts feeling quite hot. All good things must come to an end, however. *The flight leaves in two hours. Meet us at the airport.*

Helena hugs the complete stranger and waves farewell before winking at the barman. "Have a great day everyone, I have to go!" Waving goodbye to everyone Helena heads outside and finds a discreet place to take to the air, winging her way to the airport with a huge grin on her face and high spirits.
