The same iciness that surrounds the vampire seems to envelope Aren as well, but as far as Helena can tell, he's just fine. Eventually the vampire stops and licks the wounds, causing them to seal. "Thank you for the meal, helena." Without waiting, the vampire runs out and jumps off the cliff.

"Hmph, glad thats over with, now I can get some sleep." Checking his pulse and other vitals carefully Helena confirms that he's alive and wanders out to find Jasmine. "That could have gone worse."

Aren is definitely alive, as his pulse has gone wild, his heart beating as if he was running despite him just lying there, motionless. The paleness is worse than it looked, and his breathing is quite shallow.

*I have the sinking suspicion she turned him. O well. For now it seems we have to stabilize him, I could dump him full of energy but im not sure how well that would work, think he'll be alright?*

*I think she'd have had to feed him some of her own blood. You can try to heal him. It would take an exceptional healer to regenerate that much blood, but you might be able to save his life.* Jasmine sounds surprisingly calm.

Despite Helena doing her best, the body only takes so much magic and the blood regenerates at painfully slow pace. It doesn't take long for Aren's heart to give up and Helena finds herself staring at the cooling body.

Helena, angry at the failed attempt and her own foolishness, feels the rage begin to build and before she ever realizes she's doing it, she's diving off of the cliff and snapping her wings out, her mind searching for the cold presence that had marked the vampire before. She had no idea if she could beat it, but that certainly wasn't going to stop her, it never had before...

As Helena descends to the bottom of the valley, she finds no traces of the vampire, which shouldn't be too much of a surprise given how she managed to hide from Jasmine.The valley seems large, and though the mists make seeing difficult, there seems to be a large number of caves, any of which could house the vampire.

Helena searches the caves for the presence before cursing and dive bombing and looking for any signs of entrance, tracks, foot prints, scuffs, Anything. That miserable lying bitch... It was going to take a long time for Helena's anger to cool...

The barren valley has little in the way of tracks, but finally Helena can find something that seems to lead into one of the caves. Despite her now enhanced darkvision, she can't see very far into it.

Helena throws a ball of fire down the cave in an act of fury and to illuminate the passage before charging in roaring defiance.

The fireball illuminates the vampire near the end of the cave, who immediately springs on her legs with a nasty looking dagger on her hand, ready for battle.

"You Bitch!!!!" Helena throws a pair of fireballs at the vampire, she had no idea how strong she was or how bad an idea this was, but she was beyond pissed... *Jasmine! I found Her! Help put the lying vermin to the torch!*

One of the fireballs hits the vampire, but it doesn't seem to have much effect as the vampire slashes across Helena's stomach, causing a small trickle of blood to come from the wound.

Helena snarls, her lip curling in disgust as she hopped back and threw another pair of fireballs. "Why!? There was no Reason!"

There is intense hatred in the eyes of the vampire as she lashes at Helena again, ignoring the fireballs as she sinks the dagger deep into Helena's thigh. *I'm coming.*

Helena grits her teeth in pain and lashes out with 2 full handfuls of telekinetic force, trying to knock the vampire back.*Hurry, the bitch is strong*

The vampire is thrown backwards, but manages to flip back to her feet and charges towards Helena again.

Helena tries to surprise her by charging forward herself, the fire held in her hands until she was painfully close before releasing both bolts at point blank, if she wasn't able to control her weight, moving around with her injured leg would have been difficult.
