It looks like the grate could be lifted off and there seems to be space under it, but it's hard to tell how much or where does it lead. Focusing inwards, Helena can feel something nearby, but it doesn't seem to come from inside or under the building. The camera probably isn't water proof, so she'd have to leave it behind if she were to dive in...

Grumbling a little with indecision Helena begins to work at the grate {I'm about to do something incredibly stupid in the name of curiousity, wish me luck} With that she left the camera on the shrine and took the plunge, willing to accept the consequences of her actions in the hopes of reward and discovery...

*Do what?* The water is freezing cold and there's little light, but it would seem to be going to a tunnel of some sort. Helena doesn't have much time to contemplate this, however, as the flow threatens to pull her under.

Helena focuses all her efforts on staying afloat, her hands reaching out to grab at anything that may stop her from going under, even growing wings to try and give herself a little more balance and support....

For a moment Helena manages to resist the current, but then she can feel it pulling at her wings and she plunges into the tunnel. It's dark and cold and she hits the walls repeatedly, but eventually the tunnel widens into a natural underground river, allowing her head to breach the surface in the darkness. Though unpleasant, the cold doesn't seem to be giving her any problems and after a long while she can see light at the end...just before the river comes into the bright daylight and the force throws her off a cliff as the river turns into a waterfall.

Helena breaks the surface of the water cursing her own stupidity for growing wings and gasping for air. Although as she rides along and sees light shes suddenly very glad she grew them when shes pitched over a cliff as the river turns into a waterfall. Acting fast she reduces her weight to next to nothing and beats her wings furiously, even going so far as to use telekinesis to push herself out of the current and get into the air before she crashed into the ground below...

With a surprising grace Helena manages to turn a threatening fall into a glide as she gets out from under the waterfall, still dozens of meters from the ground. She seems to be in a lush valley, though it's hard to tell where.

{Jumped into a tunnel, almost drowned, got thrown off a waterfall. am now looking at a beautiful valley. But... I don't think I can get back...} This last clipped little message is rattled off before Helena sets down on the river bank, her eyes darting this way and that, trying to figure out where the hell she wound up...

*Ginny's going to throw a fit, you know. Use Strike.* Helena can tell that Strike seems to be somewhere on the other side of the mountain, though it's hard to be more precise than that at this distance. She also spots a few lone harpies in the air, likely looking for food, or perhaps something else...

{Im not sure if he would survive the very large waterfall....} Helena gets under some tree cover to avoid the Harpies, not really itching for a fight at the moment. moving quickly she tries to get a look around without being spotted...

The valley is forested but narrow, with the river flowing through it. On three sides it's surrounded by impassable mountains and on fourth it continues as far as the eye can see.

Wary of the harpies but still extremely curious Helena keeps to the ground and heads down the valley, putting her wings away to avoid snagging them in underbrush and moving quietly...

Helena hasn't gotten very far when she finds herself face to face with a large tiger, its tail twitching as it prepares to pounce, apparently not caring that the intended victim has seen it...

o.o.... "O SHIT!" Helena tries to dive out of the way of the enormous cat, immediately regretting her decision to explore and wishing she'd gone back when faced with the monstrous feline. She had to avoid whiskers before she could counter attack, not wanting to wind up under the almost 700 fuzzball...

Though both shards hit, apparently causing considerable pain, another swipe from the tiger's paw sends Helena stumbling backwards with the force.

Helena doesn't want to burn through her energy like last time and wind up with nothing left so she conserves her power for now and throws a single shard of Ice at the large cat, if she had to she would burn more, but she at least had to try and be conservative lest she be caught out of juice again...
