This seems to be what about 9/10ths of what neg reps are about, usually.

At first I was thinking of explaining myself reasonably by saying it wasn't supposed to be taken offensively but as a warning that a poor first impression will heavily strike you with most people online, as evident by oni's reaction but I instead settled on the response "Blow me"
