Re: Competition (Azure)
The lizard girl slashed at the ground in front of her, causing sparks to shoot forth, and her blade to suddenly erupt in a blue flame that remained constant even after her flashy move was over. The battle began with the enemy's strongest fighter leading the charge, and Zidane moving to intercept. She moved so fast that it took Azure's enhanced and inhuman perception just to barely follow her movements. There was an immediate problem with her speed, and that was the fact that she was even faster than she saw Zidane to be. Zidane was already jumping back and lifting his blades to block as the lizard warrior swung with her blunt side, and collided into his protective stance. Sparks flew once more, and Zidane was sent flying backwards, straight towards Azure as he landed against her. It was clear just from that. Zidane wasn't going to last terribly long against her.
Meanwhile, Metal laughed at what she saw of their strategy. "You think sending someone to distract our strongest is going to improve your odds? Lot of good that snake is doing you!" she taunted, before raising her hand, millions of tiny threads seen only by Azure's somewhat limited sense of magic coming from Metal's fingers. Whatever she was preparing, it was a big spell, and it seemed obviously capable of instantly winning the enemy the fight before Azure would even know what kind of spell it was. It carried that kind of terrifying presence. However, Ragna's plan came into action, and he pointed the flat side of his blade at Metal, before punching it with his hand, causing an impossibly bright flash to shine directly into Metal's eyes. Whatever spell she was forming was apparently explosive, as a large explosion was suddenly combusted in the air. "She isn't apart of this fight." Ragna stated in a challenging tone towards the witch. Metal was growling and cursing and covering her eyes with her hands following Ragna's sudden attack on her overconfidence. She looked disoriented, but she still faced in his direction and opened her eyes a wink in order to snarl with pure hatred. "YOU... COCKY LITTLE FREAK!" she cursed, weaving more magic while Ragna was already charging at her.
Then, a rather light hearted laugh came from the battlefield. The red haired amazon was faced off with Marth, who was weaving his magics against her. Ice suddenly began to form in front of him, and quickly chase towards the amazon, who didn't move a muscle. She was grinning even as she looked down and saw his attack coming at her. Suddenly, the amazon let out a thunderous laughter that had such power by her voice alone that it made Azure's body tingle after experiencing it's vibrations. The sudden laugh and volume behind it was easy to shake off for a monster such as Azure, but it was unfortunate for Marth, who seemed to have been shaken by her voice. His ice crystals lost their concentration, but still formed around the amazon's feet... Before she threw her leg up, shattering the ice that stuck to her, and charging at Marth, bringing her fist back and delivering it to his abdomen while extending her tongue to lick her lips in delight of her powerful strike. "You are an inexperienced coward!" the amazon taunted, before bringing her leg around and hooking it around Marth's head as he gasped from her prior blow, and snapped her leg back, throwing him to the ground. Kneeling down, she picked Marth up, only to hold him in a headlock, causing Marth to squirm and struggle pointlessly as she strangled him. She grinned sadistically while she dominated him in this way. "I love hurting you~" she cooed into Marth's ear.
"Marth!" Zwei called out for his comrade, before a sudden attack from his opponent, the shinobi, forced him to dodge, taking a slight cut while he was at it. Their entire fight had been a long series of counterattacks. The shinobi would rush in on the offensive, attacking with speed almost matching the lizard woman's. Zwei would either block or dodge her attacks until she got close enough, when he attacked in turn, trying to grab and punch and kick her, but she moved back until she was out of his range, only to try once again to attack him, spinning with her blades in an elegant dance that was as beautiful to watch as it was threatening. On one of her attacks, she spun her leg around, and in a surprise moment, it connected. Zwei took the impact, but this seemed intentional. He grabbed her leg, and pulled her closer, before taking her waist so that she was facing away from him, and suddenly throwing himself back, bringing her with him, and suplexing her, smashing her head into the ground.
The shinobi fell over, unconscious and defeated. Zwei had an expression of hope, before he looked back to Marth, and despaired. The amazon was just finishing a crude kiss on his lips, before releasing his unconscious form to the ground. As she stood up, wiping the saliva from her mouth, Zwei cursed at her. "You will pay." he swore, while the amazon simply chuckled. "You actually beat her? What a sucker she was." the Amazon chuckled, before letting out a beast-like roar, grinning at Zwei with sharp teeth. He wasn't shaken like Marth, but he maintained his composure. The amazon was no worse for wear, and he surely remembered who was the better fighter.
A sudden feminine cry was heard. Metal's form was collapsing to the ground following a flash of Ranga's sword. He didn't waste a moment being thankful for taking out his opponent as he stepped up beside Zwei. "We don't have time to waste on her. Zidane's at his limit." he cautioned his fellow comrade. Zwei gave Ragna a cold nod, before they faced off against the lone Amazoness.
What Ranga said was true. After returning to the fight from Azure, Zidane's fight was likely hard to watch. It was so one-sided that is was no longer a fight, it was simply abuse, and a matter of how long Zidane could take it. He didn't go on the full defensive, as it would be only too obvious that the lizard girl would switch targets. He first kept his eyes on her blade, and was promptly punished by her knee striking his ribs. He could barely dodge her attacks. The moment he had to return the offensive, he was punished for it. She swung her sword, and he would barely avoid it by jumping into the air for an aerial strike. The lizard kin simply grabbed at arm's reach by sealing her claw around his neck, and promptly choke-slamming him into the ground. He tried rolling from the ground to attack from the side, before her elbow quickly struck the side of his head, causing him to fall over on his side before she brought her foot up, and slammed it down, crushing the air out of his lungs. "I admire your tenacity." The lizard woman said casually. "This is the most determination you've had so far." she complimented him.
She lifted her foot off of him, before looking to Ragna and Zwei fighting the Amazon, and slowly heading their way with calm steps. In a stroke of desperation, Zidane reached out, and grabbed her ankle. "Where are you going..." he wheezed, before she turned, and flashed the smallest grin, before stepping to the side, and delivering a harsh kick to his side, kicking Zidane into the air, and flying back towards Azure again. "Catch," she instructed the lamia, and when he landed, caught or not, Azure would clearly see that Zidane was out.
It was a simple matter for Zwei and Ragna to handle the single opponent. Zwei moved in first, and collided his strength against her own. The Amazon would use a quick grapple maneuver to throw him away and deal with Ragna quickly, but not quick enough as a wide swipe would hit her. The amazon was knocked back, before Zwei quickly recovered, jumped at her, caught her, and brought her back down to the ground head-first. The rest of their fight was Ragna and Zwei trading blows against the amazon, rushing her to completely overwhelm her, which they did with exceptional teamwork.
The end result was Zwei and Ragna facing off with the final foe standing. The two sides stared off at one another. Zwei and Ragna were deciding how to take down the final and most impressive foe, while it seemed the female warrior herself was deciding which of the two to take out first. "The appearance of your new associate has made quite the impression. Teamwork and organization, something both our sides lacked. I feel insulted though, that the best plan you had against me was outnumbering me." She said calmly.
"Did you have a better idea?" Ragna inquired, tightening the grip on his sword.
"No, but I always thought our duels to be romantic." The lizard announced, an endearing smile on her face. She seemed to like Ragna.
"Rushing her won't work like the amazon." Ragna announced, making sure Zwei got the idea, before Ragna charged first. It seemed their plan was to ensure the lizard couldn't pressure any one of them by switching who was her target. Zwei got behind her, just as Ragna's swipe were reflected, causing him to retreat or face dire consequences. Zwei attacked with a harsh punch, which the lizardess dodged and made a defensive kick, knocking Zwei back before having to kneel and hold her blade over her head as Ragna quickly came slamming down on her. Despite it being two on one, it seemed like an even fight with slight favor in the lizard's direction. Ragna and Zwei fought with all they had, while the lizardess maintained her composure, not losing focus at all even while dealing with two skilled foes at once. Beating them back as they came, they were testing her stamina, while Ragna and Zwei seemed to be taking a progressive beating.
Knocked back, Ragna landed near Marth's motionless body. Panting, he remained there a moment to catch his breath, before charging towards the lizardess once more. She raised her blade to block, before gasping in shock. A bright flash came from Ragna's blade, blinding the lizardess just as Metal had been. Ragna swung his blade round, striking her armor. Zwei came from behind, delivering a powerful punch to her back. The two unleashed all they had... Until she could take no more, and fell to the ground.
"That was really bad, Marth." Ragna announced with dissatisfaction.
Marth suddenly pushed himself up slightly. "W-what!? You guys were losing!" he complained.
"Pretended to fall unconscious?" Zwei inquired, and Marth nodded slowly.
"But... I still can't believe it..." Marth adjusted himself to a sitting position. "We won! We really won!"
"You kept up your act, even when she took your lips..." Zwei seemed to admire him.
"WE WON OKAY!?" Marth cried.
