Here's Honey Quest!
The thread I found it on is here:

And a direct link to the download is here:

Pretty simple RoR game done by Mr. SuperScope on TP's forums. You play as what appears to be a bee girl, who realizes she, HO SNAP SON, doesn't have any honey left. So she wanders out into the forest to find some.

Screenshots are attached to the post.
----------
Controls: Arrow keys to move left, right, jump and duck. Enter pauses the game. From there you can quit or save the game. Mashing down escapes rapes.
----------
Items:
Honey pot- Heals you a little.

Potion (Looks like a bottle with a spiral on it) - Grants you a shield that lasts for about five seconds, any enemy who touches the shield dies.

Gem- Only one in the game. Permanently boosts your movement speed.

Honey droplet- Gives points. Points don't seem to do anything though.
----------
Easter eggs!
The bee's have two different rapes, seems to depend on if they grab you from behind or not.

Try letting two bee's grapple you. :D (They're the only enemies that seem to be able to do that.)

When you reach the final boss, run into him on purpose.
----------
Some bugs:
If you load the game, the main menu music drags on into the game until you finish a level, or pause the game.

When you cross a checkpoint, the game automatically saves, but it will respawn when you load the game up, since it saves everything, even how much time you had left on a shield (if you had one on when you crossed it) it can cause problems where you die with the shield on, and are forced to reload, you will be forced to save again, causing a loop where if you keep dying during that part, you'll continually have less and less time on the shield. Saving from the menu after finishing a big segment is recommended to avoid that problem.
----------
One last note: I'd suggest putting the game into it's own folder, as it creates two extra files while you play. One for your save file, and one when you open the pause menu for the first time.

Lol.

Anyway, it's a pretty decent game, but I'll warn ya'll, it has some pretty harsh jumps (mainly jusy in the beehive area), which can be infuriating if you're not so great at platformers.

You know the kind of jump; the ones where if you're off by ONE PIXEL then the game goes "nope" and you fall into an enemy/off the map. That kind.

Also one grapple from the weakest enemy will take about 20% of your health WITH you mashing the button. A honey jar heals about 8%. So yeah, be careful.

Re: Honey Quest

This game looks so HAWT!

Re: Honey Quest

I'l give it a try and tell you what I think of it... look kinda fun, anyway

Re: Honey Quest

Downloaded it and my antivirus software removed it do to trojan detection.....

Re: Honey Quest

Considering it was made by a user on TP's forum, and people over there have been swooning over it, as well as us having played it through, I'm pretty damn sure it's safe.

Gamemaker games have a tendency to do that with some virus scanners. False-positives and whatnot. I'm sure it's safe, so don't worry about it.

Re: Honey Quest

My paid Norton Antivirus blocked this executable as well.

People still use Norton?!
Naw just kidding. Like I said, probably a false-positive. The guy who made the game has made quite a few games before it (Check the TP Forum link I put up. SuperScope has a link to a site with all of his games. Minus this one of course, since it's adult..) so I don't see him as being the kind of person to lace his games with viruses..

Re: Honey Quest

Pretty interesting game. The platforming is a little wonky but it's playable.

@SethK: Praise the Sun!

Re: Honey Quest

Good game, bad mechanics.

The inability to crouch and move at the same time, while not particularly annoying because it doesn't really come up all that often is just a bit annoying because you can still 'crouch mid air' which could come in handy if it didn't stop your movement dead, because of problem number two, major 'ow my toe!' syndrome where the character's clipping area is exactly equal to the character's sprite area, so that if you happen to miss the jump by the measure of the character's toe, you get to fall to your death, by the same token, if you're in the air, and you happen to toe-touch one of the monsters, guess what? not only does the monster get sucked up into the air with you, but most of them will drop out of the air, which more than once I've happen to have dropped to my death because of it.

More recently, I happen to have picked up a flag while falling to my death, so I've missed the jump and am permanently saved 1/2 of a second before falling to my death and there's nothing I can do about it but start all over from the beginning, which speaking of and this is more of a pet peeve myself, the game starts in full screen mode and never mentions how to play in a window, which you can by hitting F4 but only the game-savy player would know.

Oh and near as I know, saved games don't survive the closing of the game, yet the mandatory high score list does.

Re: Honey Quest

Any kind sir can upload this to mediafire or filesonic?:D

Your saved game should, I know mine did. When you save, it should create two files for itself, one called "savedgame" and the other called "pausemenudata". Are they not there? Also, there's an upper path you can take to avoid that flag. Take that upper route, then save from the pause menu while on solid ground, it'll save you from having that ever happen again.

@Mengsk
Here you go!

Re: Honey Quest

after about 20 minutes i had to quit because i was fed up with the mechanics, when you're trying to jump up to platforms and get too close you hit an invisible roof, which kills you, he also put enemies in places where you would need perfect timing and stuff thats impossible to get when you have to wide jump all the platforms

Re: Honey Quest

About the false positives: Virtual machine with no scanner = bliss
Careless browsing and downloading, no shitty scanner that pops up every 2 clicks. ect.

Nice game tho, minus the fact that you gt start over again often... im not that hardcore :p

Re: Honey Quest

Oh god fawking dammit, i sure hate that jump, took me like 20-25 tries to fully ''understand'' how to jump correctly

Nice game, 1st game he made?

Re: Honey Quest

The full version keeps being reported as being infected on my computer.
