Re: Scourge of the Silver Marches
Order is: Aramil, Carella, Holi, Tod, Bolm, Thugs, Trex, Drow, Samurai, Malacet, Granth.
(If I screw up any rolls this post, make sure you let me know somehow, I'm pretty tired right now but I want to get through it sooner rather than later.)
1d20+16 = 18+16 = 34 vs DC18 = hit
1d20+11 = 10+11 = 21 vs DC18 = hit
1d8+1 = 3+1 = 4 damage
1d8+1 = 6+1 = 7 damage
The man shot by Aramil previously takes two more arrows to the stomach.
1d20+13+1 = 11+13+1 = 25 vs DC15 = success
1d20+13+1 = 17+13+1 = 31 vs DC15 = hit
2d6+4 = 5+1+4 = 10 damage
Carella jumps and wraps herself around the drow, holding her above her, and begins to squeeze, the sounds of bones cracking can be heard over the thugs shouting and Holis laughter.
1d20+12+1 = 19+12+1 = 32 vs DC18 = critical hit
1d20+7+1 = 5+7+1 = 13 vs DC18 = miss
1d10+8+1d6 = 8+8+4 = 20x2 = 40 damage!
1d20+12+1 = 16+12+1 = 29 vs DC18 = hit
1d10+8+1d6 = 2+8+2 = 12 damage
Holis next wild slash bisects the man he'd previously hit in the gut, the momentum of the swing burying his axe in the unfortunate man trying to get behind hims crotch. He falls to the ground, bleeding badly. The sight only makes him laugh all the louder.
(Total is now 2 dead.)
1d20+7+1 = 2+7+1 = 10 vs DC10 = hit
2d4 = 2+1 = 3 damage
Tods acid arrow hits the half-orc, still stunned by Granths ray of lightning, in the knee. He screams at the unpleasant burning sensation.
10d6 = 6+5+5+6+2+4+2+6+2+2 = 40 damage
1d20+7 = 14+7 = 21 vs DC21 = success
1d20+7 = 20+7 = automatic success
1d20+7 = 7+7 = 14 vs DC21 = failure
1d20+7 = 19+7 = 26 vs DC21 = success
1d20+7 = 5+7 = 12 vs DC21 = failure
1d20+7 = 20+7 = automatic success
1d20+7 = 9+7 = 16 vs DC21 = failure
1d20+7 = 17+7 = 24 vs DC21 = success
1d20+7 = 8+7 = 15 vs DC21 = failure
1d20+7 = 17+7 = 24 vs DC21 = success
1d20+7 = 14+7 = 21 vs DC21 = success
1d20+7 = 12+7 = 19 vs DC21 = failure
Bolm shouts; "In the dawns name, burn ye foul wretches!" and chants a spell, targeting the large group of archers still firing pointlessly at the samurai. Most of them see him just before he completes his spell, and dive away, but a few are still standing there when a column of flame comes down from the sky, immolating them. Those that dodged managed to avoid any harm.
(5 more dead, bringing us to 7.)
1d20+7+1 = 5+7+1 = 13 vs DC18 = miss
1d20+7+1 = 19+7+1 = 27 vs DC18 = critical hit
1d20+7+1 = 17+7+1 = 25 vs DC29 = miss
1d8+3 = 7+3 = 10x2 = 20 damage
1d20+7+1 = 16+7+1 = 24 vs DC22 = hit
1d20+7+1 = 5+7+1 = 13 vs DC22 = miss
1d20+7+1 = 10+7+1 = 18 vs DC22 = miss
1d10 = 3 damage
The man with the torn groin drops his crossbow and lashes out at Holi with a quickly drawn longsword, giving the dwarf a vicious gash on his face and cutting off a sizeable portion of Holis beard. Another man tries to attack him from behind, but the axe does nothing against Holis armor. The man fighting Trex likewise attacks with a glaive, but Trex simply glares at him as his best efforts don't even put a scratch on his armor. Meanwhile, some of the man Holi nearly fried fire there crossbows at him, only one of which manages to do any damage, the others turn and bolt toward the door. The man who had been shot by Aramil starts toward Trex, hoping to take the man from behind, while his fellows continue firing at the samurai. the half-orc, meanwhile, is sick of being shot at, and rushes straight toward them, which, unfortunately happens to be right in the path of the samurai. The burly warrior is cut in half, the blade moving so fast no one even notices that it had moved from its initial position until the samurai slowly moves it back to his right side.
1d20+16+1-3 = 20+16+1-3 = critical hit
1d8+6+3 = 6+6+3 = 15x2 = 30 damage
1d20+16+1-3 = 20+16+1-3 = critical hit (god damnit Trex)
1d8+6+3 = 3+6+3 = 12x2 = 24 damage
Trex quickly finishes off the man with the glaive with a powerful swing, cutting clean through the mans scale armor and catching the bandit trying to sneak up on him and cutting out his throat. Both drop to the ground and die.
5d4 = 3+3+2+3+3 = 14 damage
The drow, not wanting to be held down with a deadly man who hates her so near, turns her left hand toward Carella and shouts something none of you can understand, and a wave of flames pours out of a ring on her finger. The fire hurts, but Carella stubbornly holds on.
1d20+18-3 = 20+18-3 = critical hit (goodbye drow)
1d10+8+2d6+3 = 5+8+6+2+3 = 26x2 = 52 damage
the samurai finally reaches the prone drow, still raised slightly into the air by Carella, who, seeing the samurai and still feeling the fires sting, raises her a little higher and smiles wickedly. The angle is perfect, and the samurais sword decapitates the drow, the flaming blade cauterizing the wound so that no blood splashes onto Carella.
1d20+7+1 = 7+7+1 = 15 vs DC14 = hit
3d6 = 5+3+1 = 9 damage
1d20+7 = 14+7 = 21 vs DC21 = success
Malacet, seeing the angry half-orc cut in half and the drow decapitated, picks out a thug trying to retreat and lets loose, catching him in the back with a fiery bolt, but he tucks and rolls and doesn't catch fire.
1d20+4 = 5+4 = 9 vs DC14 = miss
"Damnit, I wanted that one!" Granth says, before picking out a thug and letting his lightning rays fire once again. His aim is off though, and the fleeing thug avoids the ray of lightning.
