Just pointing out that the mod might mess with newer versions of the game, so even if someone had a backup of it, you might need older version of the game.

I could be wrong, but it looks like they're taking the 2D/3D hybrid approach that the Night of Revenge developer is working with. I think I remember you not liking that, so maybe temper your excitement lest you be let down.
Some of those designs are real exciting, though. It looks like they'll branch into more fetishes this time around--or at least dive deeper into the ones they've touched on before. The guro is kind of worrying, but I can probably just shut my eyes for that part.
 
Considered how niche this specific kind of game is, dont blame the man for taking what he can

I don't hate 2D + 3D hybrid work, I hate developers that master the art of 2D and then nosedive completely into 3D work entirely. Fullflap's legacy is currently smoldering into nothing right now, that's all I'm gonna say about that dev's current project. What a waste of talent.

Uzura/Quail I believe to be much smarter than that, they're still making 2D characters in Spine with some minor 3D appearing features (like the MC's shield) while backgrounds are likely to be the things done in 3D. This is fine because this doesn't compromise all their previous talent (and main draw to their work) and it's also not forcing them to learn everything all over again.

April has a video with some movement back and forth, crawling, jumping, moving in 3D space through doors. Progress being made there.

It also shows turning off your lantern. I am already feeling the anxiety rising at that mechanic. I could deal with the other two games because even if there was horror, I could kill it for the most part. If there's too much hiding in the dark to avoid shit in the upcoming one I might have to just grab a save some worthy soul posts. I freak the fuck out at horror games if there isn't any way to really fight back against the monsters.
 
Am I an idiot or something? I can't understand the map at all (the second shortcut door leads you to a room that says it has a left and right exit on the map, but the room has a left exit, an up exit, and then a right exit that leads to the shortcut room?) and I feel like I've explored everywhere in the first area. There's a locked wall with a pink door and despite finding several keys and health ups I've not found a way to open it.

The fact that nobody else in the threads has this issue makes me think I'm overlooking something really basic.

I assume this is the area you're talking about?

If you go to the pink door on the right of the 2nd Portal, You'll enter a locked room full of enemies, clear the room, then go right into the pink door, and unlock the wall above

Then, you go all around the area till you reach the room again, with the door unlocked.

Once you've reached the passage way, just continue going left and you'll reach the wall with the pink door you're talking about

Holy cow, I think I need to get my eyes checked. I somehow never, ever, despite going in and out of there several times while searching, registered the door on the right of the second portal room. Thanks for the help.

They're really not though. There are games with bestiality and shotacon/lolicon on steam despite clearly being against it. Melty Quest and Claire has both and was one of their showcase games when they first allowed ero, and both Summer and Winter Memories were one of their top selling games period ero or otherwise.

It's not really steam that's the issue but that he's a solo dev and it's illegal for Japanese to sell/display any pornography without censorship, apparently whatever the governing body of those laws is operates like an extortion racket so if you can pay them enough money or have enough weight to throw around you can get away with doing it though steam. Though there's always the chance he could slip through the cracks it's still a risk.

Illegal to sell in Japan without censorship, selling outside of Japan on the other hand.

Use of restoration patches and the like can play a role, and even then Steam is all over the place about that kind of things, also, it was mentioned there are differences between self-published games and those using another company as publisher.

Pretty sure it's selling anywhere. It should be common knowledge that the overwhelming majority of people who buy porn prefer it to be uncensored yet to my knowledge there's no "dlsite uncensored" that exclusively sells to those outside of Japan.

DLSite is located in Japan, Steam HQ isn't.
Now, there might be issues with having multiple versions.

So are Japanese devs and their bank accounts. Maybe it's just that simple but seems like if it were uncensored hentai from lone devs/artists would be more commonplace.

Kinda why I mentioned multiple versions, games would still need a censored version to be sold in Japan, and pointed out a few times, some artists have troubles drawing the naughty parts, so uncensored doesn't look good in those cases.

The same shall apply to a person who possesses the same for the purpose of sale.

Should've looked into it first. Doesn't specify in/out of country. The example cases seem to target individuals involved in the companies rather than the company itself, so maybe they can skirt the rules through obfuscation of who's actually got ahold of the porn?
