Glad things are better! (long time lurker). I know the 'joys' of working in malls too, I also work in one. Hate mall hours but grats on the engagement soon to be marrage!

It's good to see your ok Hettie, was getting worried for a bit something bad happend to you. I'm sure a lot are relieved too, not because of the game, but because of you being safe, no one likes to see a good person and friend hurt so I'm sure a fair few people are celebrating your safe return and with some wonderful news about your upcoming wedding :D

I wouldn't say reviled. It's kind of like when there's a big scandal with a drunk teen driver in the media, and then everyone wants to talk to the parents, and one of the parents can't be found and the other one is seen by the cameras but never says anything, so people start blaming visible parent for whatever happened instead of the silly kid.

...not sure if that's the right example actually. It's 3:34AM and I need snoozles.

This year's Black Friday made that shit look tame. Shootings, pepper spray, fistfights, stabbings, hit-and-runs, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I feel your pain, Hettie. I've done retail Christmases for nearly 10 years now. Glad to hear that you're doing better, though, and here's hoping the streak of good fortune continues, though it seems like it already has! Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials!

Hehe, yeah, reading some of the responses to Hettie's announcement will probably make her laugh. Though I think the suggestion of her spouse-to-be wearing a tentacle might still go over well.
