Leaving the hotel made Claire a whole lot more nervous than she would have, a day or two ago. She clasped her loaded gun, though the safety was still on, and rehashed with Claire, "so we encounter something, we shoot it until it stops moving, and we bring it back to the hotel to see what and why it ticks, right?"

Hehehe, you don't have to bring it back, all Claire has to do is investigate it, and I'll tell you about it based on how well she does it.

"Ten four, roger that, bingo whiskey martini, good buddy!" She said, imitating a military salute, though rather sloppily. She pulled her gun out and posed like Charlie's Angels then said, "Alright, red, let's go bag us a big one!" She moved forward, but Claire would easily be able to see that the girl was moving a bit stiffly and slowly, peering left and right constantly.

Sighing, but deeming not to comment, Claire followed suit. She tried not to get too far behind the other woman, just in case she spotted something and a shot went wide. Concentrating more on the sideroads they passed, she left whatever was ahead for Christie's perceptive eyes.

"Battlestations! Red alert! Uhhhh... fucking monsters!" Christie said, opening fire on the closest caterpillar.

Claire, surprised by the other woman's sudden shrill cry, didn't even have time to turn before deafening shots fired from Christie's firearm.

Of the shots she fired, two hit.

The monster recoiled in pain.

(Enemy attacks)

While she was busy with firing at the monster going after Claire, the other Centipede snuck up on her, knocking her to the ground, with it on top of her.

*Christie is grappled, Claire is now in the fight.*

"Wuh?" she garbled as the creature flopped down onto her. "Wah! No, no, no, get off, get off, get off!" she cried, beating on the centipede before stopping and remembering she had a gun. Pressing the gun against the creature, she pulled the trigger, hoping to hit some vital organ by miracle.

"Christie!" the redhead shouted, but not before the other woman could avoid being thrown to the ground by the terrifying monster.

More worried that her friend would be ripped apart, than about the recoiling creature nearby, Claire clicked back the safety on her weapon, pointing, aiming and shooting at the bulk of the creature atop the black-haired woman as she'd been told to do.

(Christie's arms were grappled, the bug was behind her, the most she can do is try to escape)

The monster had a tight grip on Christie.

(Claire attacks, aimed shot)

Her first time shooting a gun was successful, as the bullet pierced it's shell, doing great damage as the bug recoiled off of her.

*Both Christie and Claire are able to fight.*

"Wow, great shot, red! Thanks!" Christie cheers to Claire as she opens fire on the bug that had attacked her.

"Beginners luck!" Claire shot back (verbally) before turning on the first monster. Using the same method, she tried to point, aim and shoot -- going for the largest bulk, of course!

She was shaken by the pounce, all of her shots were wild as none of them hit the target.

(Claire attacks)

It indeed turned out to be beginner's luck, as her shot missed.

(Enemy attacks)

The bug that had previously gotten on top of Christie climbed back on, gripping her body.

Claire stepped to the side as the other bug attempted to land on her.

"Ah, damnit!" she yelled as she wildly started trashing to get the creature off her.

"Sunuva--" Claire aimed for the same creature, not noticing that Christie was in trouble again. She fired twice in quick succession, bracing the hand that held her pistol with her other hand, doing her best not to overcompensate for the strange, if mild kick of the weapon. This wasn't just playing around, it was serious!

She strains her muscles to the best of her ability, she couldn't have tried harder, but the creature's grip was incredible.

(Claire attacks)

She missed both shots, firing too quickly.

(Enemy attacks)

Christie fell something like liquid pour all over her from the creature, as it's light acid dissolves her clothes.

Claire's poorly aimed shots soon made her pay the price, as the centipede leaped upon her, clutching her in it's legs.

"Eeewwww," Christie cries as the liquid pours over her, straining her neck to keep the nasty stuff from getting to her face. As the acid begins to bubble on contact with her clothes, Christie starts to giggle. Clothes being dissolved off you sure tickled! "Haha, haha, s-stop it, hahaha, noooo!" Out of the corner of her eye she noticed Claire being thrown to the ground by the other centipede. "Oh shit, HAHAHAA!" In between bouts of laughter Christie struggled to free herself from the creature, pushing off the ground to try to fling it backwards
