It's the z1.player and z2.player. Change the name to zako01.player and zako02.player.
Now it only gives one error, the one with japanese characters, but it entered the stage

Strange. It gave me 3 errors when i started a new game. 2 of them are gone when i renamed those files. The last one is in japanese characters. guess i have to change the unicode to japanese to find out wich one is it.

It's a Jap DLsite update, probably only works with Jap DLsite original game. All I can find floating around is the English DLsite copy so I can't really check it.

Strange. It gave me 3 errors when i started a new game. 2 of them are gone when i renamed those files. The last one is in japanese characters. guess i have to change the unicode to japanese to find out wich one is it.

Ok, ok. I went to the website and saw that one of their blue links on the top left was for a ff_syusei, which i assume is update, i downloaded it, overworte the base game, then added the dlc. Just like Squall, the first to Zako01/02 errors are gone, jsut the third error but I can enter the stage.

sorry my bad, i changed it to zako1 instead of zako01, other than that only the japanese file error

Still no stage select. Getting to the later enemies was time-consuming enough, and now there are new stages. The gallery is just not good enough. Enemies are gray and have silent voices. New characters are pretty good, but the lack of new "positions" overall (once again until late game) is somewhat disappointing.

there is no difference to the jap version. You can get to torrent on nyaa. You still get the same errors.

They have screwed up the variables.

I renamed those 2 files and yeah it lets me enter the stage, but then it crashes after a couple minutes :/ anyone figured it out yet?

After looking at Queen's Axe's files, I tried and then subsequently found that renaming the s1.player file to sinden1.player (in addition to the zako renames mentioned earlier) helped.
So give that a try.
And that's "s1.player" -> "sinden1.player". Note the absence of a zero unlike when z1 got renamed to zako01 and so on.

Changed the names of the two files. If the first stage starts an error appears but it doesn't crash. But after i beat a certain enemy (in 30 sec) the game crashes. I guess it's because an other enemy should appear and the game doesn't find the file for this enemy.

I reread the DLsite's warning and I think it's boiled down to the following.

Either the torrent/active links to FF are in english, and the dlc link provided is in jap, or the dlc is in english and the active links are in jap. DLENG does specifically mention that if you try to use two different versions, it crashes after selecting a character, so we need someone to confirm.

This tiny robot is going to wait until a working compound of DLC and game is provided right from the link. Lili doesn't have time to tinker with things all day to get it to work.

You have to also rename zov.player into ゾブラ.player.
I did the trick for me, hope it works for you !
