I keep getting an error that says 'Windows cannot access the specified -blah-blah. You may not have appropriate permissions to access the item.' when I try to play the game. Halp?

Run as administrator?
Simple solution, but hey, it happens!
You can definately play the game without locale so that can't be the problem

No luck with that either. I've even checked permissions and all of that and I'm really not sure what else to try.

I have the same issue. I am unable to unzip the .zip file. Previous versions have worked without issue. It is not a password issue.

Uhhh... it'd be helpful if you told us what the error actually was.

Not really much more than what I said earlier.

Edit : Figured the problem out, Windows Smartscreen was interfering with the program so I shut it off for the time being. Annoying shit.

sadly i'm having the same error. I run windows 7 so it doesnt have windows smartscreen on it. not sure what to do

Discover something in latest demo, not sure if mentioned.

At the title screen, where it has new game, continue, options. If you hit F1 key, it will bring you into I think a test/ demo room.

There are few raper enemies in first room. Well.. The ones that can animate with her, slug, gropper, and car.

Now if you go down to bottom right you enter another room with the other default enemies.

Enter another bottom right and you enter another room with some jumps and lasers and save (don't use save point, I tried it and you won't be able to load/continue in that room.)

Not sure if anything beyond that room, I fell off somewhere. >.>

I'm just guessing on this, but try to shorten the file path. Like, put the folder for the game closer to the main drive, so if you have it on your C:/ drive, put it in something like C:/Program Files/Lab2 or something like that.

I've noticed a lot of JP games don't like it when their files are something around 10 folders deep.

I got the error too, but Avast would delete the EXE file as well. So I turned it off.

Well. That was unfortunate. Avast Antivirus flagged it as a virus and immediately deleted it.
I assume it's a false positive, but dang man.

You can always disable it for 10 minutes. As long as it is running it won't 'kill' it. Though if you close it you have to disable it again.

The pink slug was in the last alpha/demo, if that's the one you mean.

Had to restart quite a few times in the alpha due to falling off the area, getting stuck and not being able to do anything. But hey, its an alpha.

The new animations are great. The boss has one for having the character face to boss and face away from the boss. I really like them both. I have high expectations for the finished product.

Animations in this are really good.

They're even better than Lab1, which is saying something because the animations in that were great.
