Hehe, whilst I never had the money to build the impressive collection one friend had (and thus never got too far into the series. About book 20 maybe? I know there was a lot.), I remember this well. The Hork-Bajir chronicles would have been my favourite book, and also the basis for a screen name which led to many people thinking I was middle eastern/south asian during my first year or two of getting on the internet. The first forum I ever frequented was an Animorphs forum even. Back when forums looked like a single page of indenting posts. No topics or sub boards. We're spoilt these days.
They may be able to release them to cashcow further.
But the series will likely forever remain unfinished. And I don't care what the author may say about "this is where I'm stopping, on purpose", the series was unfinished.
I'm really sorry to the players in the two RPs I play in, real life has taken a quick and hard turn for me since the beginning of the season. I'll try to balance my online time a little more; I don't want to abandon friends I just made, right? n.n;; So, please forgive me.
For those interested (I know Oni might possibly be)
I just got ahold on the first three books of Hiromu Arakawa's next Manga series... After Fullmetal Alchemist...
Well... He's the one drawing it at least...
Story, scenario, and art config are all done by different people... But Arakawa did the doodling!
Anyway the book I'm reading is called "Hero Tales"
A 7 Samurai meet Fushigi-Yugi type adventure so far but with Arakawa's usuall gags in it, Female power punch, main char just don't know HOW to give up etc.
I kinda Laughed at the RuroKen Vs Kurogasa reference in the first chapter...
In "Rurouni Kenshin" the Hitokiri Kurogasa cast a forbidden ki spell onto Kaoru strong enough to stop her lungs, in order to revert Kenshin Himura into his self of ten years past the Hitokiri Battousai...
In "Hero Tales" Shimei (Bad guy) simply casts a similar spell generated from his sword (reminding me of homunculus from his previous work) on Taitou's (Main Character) sister. Laila In order to get him to "reveal" his true power... One that he had obviously no clue he had...
