Alright I'm actually curious as to how you came to the conclusion that you messed anything up? As for how to get more independence points, well there is a lot of ways but the easiest would probably be doing quests from the quest shop that's right beside the other shops.
If you still don't know what to do, you get those by completing quests, killing bosses and doing random stuff around the village like catching some bandit or whoever it is, finding a lost item for a man or an old lady or helping that extremely tanned girl near your home. You can also bring Sylvia, because her first quest involves helping people.

Thank u so much for that. Megrim is one of the best makers. I would love to buy his stuff but they only accept Credit cards as payment. And here in europe u have to be really rich dont give a fuck or be extremly stupid to have a credit card, so i dont even know anybody who has one.
Go to the little green book in your inventory then select the 2nd option then the 5th option and then the 1st option to enable netorare.
You know that Megrim updates the pic with all characters you can marry on the dlsite page for the game?What does the mirror in your inventory do? it lets you select different options to change the look of a girl. but nothing else seems to come from it.
Also, is there a list of all the people you can marry? I've only found 2 so far, the girl from the starting town's inn, and some bandit girl. using latest version.
