hmm seem E-3 is really easy if you avoid node A. so far already kill about 1/2 and only used like 1k of stuff and 10 or so bucket.

edit: and booms goes E-3 boss. took about 2.5k of mat and 25 or so buckets. now to gather stuff for E-4.....
by the way do you need heavy for it or will DD and light work for it? from all the clear vids i seen they had like 2 heavy

As far as E-3 is concerned, there are certain fleet compositions you will need to reliably trigger the boss.

Confirmed ones from the wiki
「CAx1 DDx1 BBx1 CVx2」 and one additional ship (wildcard).
「CVLx1 CVx2 BBx1 CLTx2」
「CAVx1 DDx1 BBx2 CVx2」
「CLx1 BBx1 CVx2 CAx2」
「BBAVx1 BBx1 CVx2 CLTx1 DDx1」
「BBVx2 CLTx2 CVx2」

I Use wildcard set (ktkm is level to low) and it often go to h node.

Just started 1 week ago, but still confused on some things...can i ask some question? :)

1.What is true destroyer class's true pros and cons? (aside from reaching some boss nodes and faster repair/cheaper refuel) My remodeled Hibiki easily outdpsed by her allies who are 7+ levels below her that time....(ended up using her for expedition only)

2.Which stat aircraft class uses to determine their damage when using planes? Is it anti-air stat?

3.Why lately (couple of days after November event starts) its so hard to trigger sparkling effect when i'm using 6 ship fleet even if its always the same girl who gets MVP (in this case Junyou). Tested solo 1-1 with I-168, she sparkles tho..

To the gentlemen who've managed to clear e-4, what would you guys consider to be a "safe" number of resources to start the map on?

Currently floating 10k fuel, 12k ammo, 15k steel and ~120 buckets.

Planned team atm going in is yuudachi (55), ktkm (70), ooi (63), kongou (62), hiei (55), shimakaze (50).

Only have 2 type 3 ammos atm otherwise I'd bring another BB =\.

Probably bad karma bringing Hiei and Yuudachi back to ironbottom sound, but having no high lvl ca's kinda limits my options lol.

edit: is there any merit to the strategy of bringin full destroyer/cl teams a la e-2 to whittle down the boss's health cost effectively?

I'd say to hit a benchmark of 20k fuel/ammo so you don't end up in a situation where you can't clear the stage because you ran out of resources.

Thinking back, I probably didn't need to change Yuudachi for Mutsu but I can't be bothered to bucket her 30min-ish timer or wait for it.

Cost me around 6k fuel and 8k ammo, didn't really keep track of ammo count so I might be wrong. Bucket wise, only used around 26 or so.


This is what I used to clear/chip E-5, no support fleet used.

Took me 10k fuel and around 70 buckets to clear, because fuck RNG.

You can choose to bring a cheaper team to sortie with to whittle down the boss health, there's nothing wrong with it. The only backlash you might face is RNG fucking you up and making it inefficient in the end. Unless you're using fodder which you will discard afterwards, then it's wise to sortie with a cheaper fleet to 'test the waters' or chip the boss gauge.

Working towards that benchmark, hopefully my girls are levelled enough to weather the storm.

hmm found a very cheap (resources wise) way to chip away at e-4 boss. so far 1/4 down.
just take a bunch of lvl 1 and equip with for double attack. keep pushing till boss even if it mean losing ships.
then after the boss take all gear and breakdown or remodern damage ships.

it take a bit of luck but its seem to work

I can't bring myself to let ships sink that way lol. Made it to 0 hp, albeit at the cost of ~14k fuel 9k ammo and 15k steel not to mention ~130 buckets, now the problem is sinking the damn thing 1 last time...

Having the boss at an empty bar seems to automatically make node 1 contain a flagship ca which beelines right for my damn kongou's every. single. time. so all of a sudden, I keep getting chunked wasting buckets, fuel and steel for no damn reason on the first node.

Haha, you guys. I wish you all luck. I won't be beating the event, simply cause I dont have the time for it. Ah well, I can always wait in the future to try and build all the girls, right? :p

they say it can happen if someone sacrifice his ships a lot for clear this event. They will got a mystery mail. even this game don't have a mail system yet.

Haven't lost a ship since losing my first Jintsu at 1-4, not gonna start now, especially after seeing that lol.
