Yeah, it's generally one of those things where the author herself (Or himself) won't notice it simply because they know how it's supposed to look and that's how it looks to them. A similar thing to look at is when writing a paper, you often won't notice errors yourself, but someone else will see thins you missed simply because they don't know what you were aiming for. In this case, I'd say it's because when you look at the character, she is a black figure on a rainbow background. As such, someone viewing the picture for the first time sees the color pattern switch at the bottom with the text, but their mind automatically says: "The rainbow color is the background, so the figure ends where it changes from black to rainbow".
Also, the toes on her left boot seem to bend a bit funny, my mind wants them to be more in line with the 'g' than away from it.
