BBC airs this and forgets to mention that Mr.Corbyn's record is voting about 54-56 times against counter-terrorism laws in the past, his Shadow Home Secretary also voted something lik 44ish times against the same laws beforehand, whom also hasn't been sighted in any interview since after she ballsed up her figures live on air about Police recruitment/price.

You forget to mention the concert for the manchester victims had a giant banner for people to donate to a refugee rescue charity.
And that labour intentionally allowed mass immigration to destabilise the country.

Nice to hear that in SOME places, people stand up to the extremists in their religion.

This is actually very common throughout the world where religions have lived in peace without extremists for a while. Syria and the rest of the levant area used to have a sizable minority of Christians and Jews living there still, un-terrorised and mostly just safe. The terrorists in question tend to come from international backgrounds. ISIS for example is not native to Syria or Iraq.

It's a lot easier to hold extremist views if you don't know the people it's hurting. And a lot easier to just not care if you can keep ignoring the people who did get hurt by it

British 2017 General Election voting has begun today, first results will be in by about 1;40 AM Greenwich time.

Main contenders being the current Government with a smallish majority in the Commons, Conservatives. Main Opposition party being Labour, with Liberal Democrates, Greens and UKIP following far behind overall.

Originally the Conservatives had a 20-point lead in the polls, now it appears as if Labour/Jeremy Corbyn might actually have a chance of topping or challenging the current Government, nnhngg.

In Scotland its mostly between the Scottish National Party, who hold all but 3 seats of about 53ish in total, against Scottish Conservative/Labour Parties following behind.

In Wales, a mixed picture, mostly Labour held, obviously I don't know so much about. ><; And Sein-Fenn/DUP in Northern Ireland.

2017 Election Results for the UK-wide General Election, some main points;

Teresa May/Conservatives have not achieved a Majority, and are seeking a partnership with the Northern Ireland DUP party. Suffice to say, everyone's wondering 'wtf happened', poor campaigning, social/care things and lack of pointing out their own achievements probably contributed.

Jeremy Corbyn/Labour have gained seats, mostly in England and Scotland. Highest youth vote for a while, a surprise comeback from being trounced as was expected considering his record on finance/immigration/counter-terrorism and such.

Tim Farron/Liberal Democrats have gained a few seats, with their leader almost narrowly keeping his own seat with a 770 vote majority, down from 9000+

Nichola Sturgeon/SNP have lost just under half of their seats, with Scottish Conservatives/Labour gaining, thus harming her desire for a second Independence Referendum.

DUP remains largest party in North Ireland.

UKIP has not only lost it's only seat, but the current leader, Paul Nuttaul, has stood down with immediate effect.

Former German chancellor Helmut Kohl passed away at 87. I always had a soft spot for him, somehow. Maybe because he happened to be chancellor when the inner-German border collapsed. Maybe because he truly was a larger-than-life figure in more than one sense (his enormous gut made an easy target for ridicule, earning him the nickname of Birne - bulb or pear in English). He was no saint, and he was no family man - hell, he was a staunch conservative who was involved in a massive corruption scandal. But still. I couldn't help but respect him. Rest in peace.
