In short a proposed bill in Georgia that makes miscarriages a criminal offense. Apparently it's not new news, but what the hell kind of people get into power as State representatives and try to push this shit forward? I mean come on, the last time I was talking about some rich guy pushing bills was a change to the murder laws to say that killing homosexuals was okay.

That's not the point. I know it'll never get through, what bothers me is that there are people out there who think this is a good idea.

I myself don't like the idea of abortion, but I see why it's legal, women have the right to what they do with their body. It bothers me when the government tries passing these kind of bills.

Yeah and they're the minority. And a few of the people who do think it's a good idea probably misread the bill and think it's a great way to take care of abortions. Blanket laws like this are always a problem.

Texas tried to pass one to ban Gay marriage and ended up making all forms of Marriage illegal for a little bit. It was rather amusing to the rest of the country.

Virginia did something very similar a few years back. The way the law is written, technically you can't have room mates or house mates of the same sex if they are not legally married to someone.

I love how the one "honorable mention" is also #4 on the list. And yeah, seen plenty of books and stuff on weird laws across the states. I think in...Virginia (might even be PA) it's illegal to walk your pet alligator.

It's a combination of Tea Party mania and the fact that all the crazys, despite how bad it's gotten, never make it past the state govt level.

On the subject of accidentally banning all marriage: One thing I love is that you can troll cause by joining and then acting so batshit insane they never get anywhere. Several people jumped on that law and loudly promoted actually banning all marriage, getting the conservatives a lot of flack.

Wait no, scratch that, they are funny! Against all the stone trophies I've been getting on Bayonetta even though I only died once in that boss fight! Against Pringles selling less chips for the same price!

I hate when you're playing a strategy game, and one of your teammates tries a tactic that blows up in their face, and rather than learn fron it and try something else, they just repeatedly do that tactic and cost you the game.
