The group quickly got everything ready, they were becomming quite a good team. "There's signs of a safehouse about two blocks over, that's where we're headed. Corporal Biggs, follow close behind for close cover, but don't engage unless we do also, keep out of sight even if friendlies appear. They might not be so friendly as we think at first. Stop at that burnt out car up there, we'll go in small bursts."

She wasn't fond of this idea, but wasn't going to argue with Alexis. The first few runs went without incident. Kita would move up, Suzy covering her, then everyone would go, repeat process. It was after the fourth go that they made contact, a man and a woman popped out on a fire escape, confronting them, seeing all unfortunately, Alexis hadn't counted on height advantage.

"Halt! We can see all of you, don't move. Identify yourselfs, now!" The man spoke with a commanding voice as the woman covered him with a hunting rifle. They looked like well equiped, but tired civilians.
