Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

Tamonten: HP = 81, PP = 57, EP = 62, Status = Fine

NPC Stats:
Krig: HP = 46, PP = 47, EP = 121, Status = Grappled

Rolls
Stealth: Failure.

Attack: Hit. Krig has been grappled.

Krig snorted with laughter at the bakery joke, and she joined Tamonten in moving over to the dilapidated building. When urged to move inside the kitsune did just that, and Tamonten noted a slight twitch of her ears and fluffy tail as her hand groped the violet haired girl's round, plump bottom. Krig was blushing slightly as she turned to help Tamonten through the window, and when she glanced away Tamonten saw that the oncoming group hadn't yet come into view. Clambering in after her lover, Tamonten found the main room of the wrecked bakery to be both fairly foul smelling and fairly boring.

The source of the latter was obvious, in that there was nothing present save for some wrecked furniture and a lot of accumulated filth. The source of the foul smell was another matter, in that she couldn't quite place where it might be coming from. It smelled like decay, or more specifically decaying flesh, but not a fresh decay like the rotting corpses of the satyrs they'd found earlier. This was an old, stagnant, locked up sort of decay, like a body that had been rotting in place for years and had only just recently been exposed to open air once more. Still, Krig had only wrinkled her nose and flattened her fox-like ears against her hair, so even if it was a foul smell there didn't seem to be anything supernaturally sinister about it.

Krig crouched beside the destroyed window and peaked out into the street as the voices drew nearer, while Tamonten moved out of the way so as not to be seen though she could still see outside through a crack in the wall, and they both watched for those who seemed to be approaching. The sounds became more distinctive the nearer they got, and the first thing that the possessed swordswoman could discern were the various sorts of footsteps. One pair of heavy, almost thunderous footfalls were spaced far apart and accompanied the audible clinking of a chain, while three sets of quick skittering footsteps resembled the footfalls of a dog, a pair of clinking sounds indicating too men dressed in heavy metal armor, and finally a dozen or so booted feet seemed to march in time behind them.

Next came the voices, as only two men seemed to be speaking. The first was thick and possessed of a depth matched only by the childish tone that seemed to drip from every word. "But Varthic, I'm bored! We haven't found anyone for hours!" Another voice answered in a patient tone, this one fairly androgynous but still edging toward masculine, but even with the patient tone Tamonten could feel the arrogance held within the second speaker; "I know you're bored Pano, but we're under orders to search for mortals in this area until sunrise tomorrow."

The first of the troop walking down the street came into view a moment later in the form of a trio of hellhounds who walked with their heads down as they sniffed the ground, each of them with a heavy iron collar wrapped around their neck and tied to a chain. The three chains that were about twenty feet long led to a titanic figure clad fully in black plate armor, a mace with an iron head about as large as Tamonten's whole body hanging over its back. About ten feet after the ogre came a pair of similarly black armored figures, one of which was almost bulky and tall enough to challenge the ogre preceding it, while the other was nearly as thin as Tamonten and about the same height. These two seemed to be the speakers, as another ten feet behind them came a group of twelve soldiers in black leather armor and carrying rifles, marching in ranks of four spaced about five feet apart.

"But Varthic!!!!! I'm BORED!" the larger figure whined, and the smaller figure hung his head and sighed in exasperation, his gauntlet-clad hand coming up to cradle his equally armored head. "I know you're bored Pano, but I'm sure we'll find someone to entertain you soon." The larger man continued to whine, emitting a low wordless groan that slowly caused the thinner man to become more and more visually angry, but before things could progress further the hellhounds lifted their heads and stared as one at Tamonten and Krig's hiding spot. Their two heads, one bright purple and the other milky white, stuck out quite a bit against the brown and grey backdrop, and the two armored men picked up on that instantly. "Uh oh...." Krig whispered under her breath, her ears twitching.

"You there! We know you're in there, come out and you won't be harmed..... Much. If you don't comply right now, we're coming in after you!" The soldiers were fanning out to cover the building while the hellhounds started creeping toward them, the ogre now close behind. The larger of the two knights was to come the closest, however, as he barged right up to the edge of the window and stared down at Krig through his helmet, who stared right back with her ears up, her tail puffed up, and her eyes wide with fright. The thin man, Varthic apparently, facepalmed again.

"Varthic...." Pano said softly, his expression hidden by his helmet. "What is it Pano?" Varthic replied in exasperation, and Pano immediately cried out; "IT'S SO CUTE! LOOK AT VARTHIC!" He suddenly grabbed Krig with both hands and lifted her out of the bakery, the kitsune giving a terrified squeak as he manhandled her so easily, and spun to show his comrade his catch. "LOOK AT THOSE EARS AND THAT FLUFFY TAIL!!! Can I keep it Varthic? Can I? Ohpleaseohpleaseohplease!!!!!!"

Verthic let out a disgusted groan and replied; "Fine, if it'll shut you up for five minutes than you can keep that one to yourself." Krig managed to speak then despite being cradled in the massive man's arms; "Uhm.... Sirs! I, uhm.." Whatever she was about to say was cut off as Pano, seemingly overjoyed, loudly shouted; "YAY!!!! I will pet it and squeeze it and take care of it and teach it to fetch and name it Betty! Do you like pie Betty? Was that why you were hiding in that bakery? We have lots of pie back at Terry's!" Varthic let out another disgusted sigh.

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

The swordswoman remained deathly still as the voices came closer and closer. Her body tensed in a mixture of nervousness and hope and stayed tense, muscles winding themselves tighter and tighter as the sounds became more distinguishable. She didn't even dare turn her eyes to better see the demon patrol. When she could finally make out words, they were almost drowned out by the beat of her heart as it pumped adrenaline through her veins. Even breathing came hard. The only thing that moved about her was her shaky, blackened arm, and that she held as still as possible with its unchanged counterpart.

A small degree of hope sprang up in the possessed girl's mind as she listened to the conversation. The two sounded incompetent in their duties. It wasn't something that she necessarily disparaged—incompetence at one thing didn't necessarily mean anything in other areas—but she deeply, deeply hoped that incompetence would manifest itself in them going past without incident, a hope that seemed less and less likely as hounds, an armored giant, a column of soldiers, and the two speakers, men whose armor reminded her of the fae knights' in a way to make her heart sink, came into view. Hope that was quashed when the hounds lifted their heads.

Even after the group had called out, Tamonten didn't move. She attempted to convince herself that they were bluffing, that they hadn't actually seen anything. They just spotted something amiss and were calling in the hopes of flushing someone who might just happen to be around out. That delusion, too, was shattered as the one called Pano bodily lifted Krig from the bakery. The swordswoman stood up and simply stared in awe at the massive demon, currently cradling the kitsune and giving her a new name, at first.

Words of peace formed in her chest but ended up choked in her throat as the recognition of what the slimmer armored figure had said struck home. The big man could keep Krig to himself... Any hope for peace died quickly as a sudden and terrible rage overtook Tamonten. She didn't travel to Artmirst to see Krig turned into some sort of pet for an over-sized brute! A fury easily as strong as the one she felt in the clearing overwhelmed her such that she was shouting and charging at the man who was cradling her lover before she could even register what had happened.

"HEY! Don't! Touch! My! Betty!" she had screamed in anger. The swordswoman had bounded out of the bakery and leapt at Pano, her greatsword coming out of its wrapping with such force that the protective leather nearly came free from her faerie clothing. Tamonten, and by extension her steel, went whistling through the air with all the speed she could muster, weapon aimed at the big man's skull. Before the blow was struck, however, a thought sparked inside her. You heard him talk. He's just misguided. He might not mean any harm to Krig. It doused the fires of her temper just enough for the manacled girl to turn her blade in order to strike the brute with the flat of the weapon in the hopes of merely knocking him unconscious instead of killing him.

Regardless of her success, once she had landed, the pale-skinned woman would shout to the foxgirl; "Betty–er, Krig! Put up a heavy duty shield around us!"

Tamonten uses Slay + Supreme Might 20:20 on Pano, trying to knock him unconscious instead of killing him! All because I realized this writeup would be funnier than the other option.

Requesting that Krig put up a holy wall with the +20 resistance option. Preferably only around Tamonten, Pano, and herself, but if accidentally catching a few more creatures is necessary to include Tamonten and the foxgirl both, do so.

Tamonten's Attack!
Attack: +58 = 88 [base] + 10 [Death from the Draw and Charge] - 40 [Slay and Supreme Might]
Damage: 2d12 + 84 = 54 [base] + 10 [Death from the Draw and Charge] + 20 [Supreme Might]. This deals double damage as a result of Slay (though potentially half damage after that if it's necessary to keep Pano alive).

Tamonten's stats (with slay and charge penalties): 30 dodge, 31 Resistance, 3 Armor (TP = 29, DU = 3), 25 Perception.

30 dodge... Hopefully the terrify rolls work out well and Krig gets that holy wall up! >.>

Cheat Sheet

When taking HP damage: 3 Armor reduction from 3 DU, 29 TP clothes. She takes d4 + 9 pleasure damage, half of which is gained as EP.
When dealing HP damage: She takes d4+9 pleasure damage, half of which is gained as EP. On a killing blow she makes a 21 + (Damage Done/8)*Monster Tier Resistance check against all opponents within 30 feet with line of sight to her. If they fail once, they can't attack that round. If they fail a second time they surrender or flee. Additionally, on a killing blow she makes a second attack against an adjacent target at -10 damage and -10 attack.

When taking EP damage: She takes an additional 16 EP damage from Open Soul x4.

When taking PP damage: She takes an additional 4 PP damage from sensitive. An additional 10 (overall 14) PP damage if her opponent is a member of the fey or a plant. She regains EP equal to half of PP damage taken.

Tamonten: HP = 81, PP = 44/57, EP = 62, Status = Fine

NPC Stats:
Krig: HP = 46, PP = 47, EP = 113/121, Status = Fine, Holy Wall

Rolls
Tamonten uses Slay and supreme Might, giving her a -10 to Dodge and a total of -40 to her attack roll.
Attack (Tamonten) : Hit.
Damage: 6 + 8 + 84 = 98 * 2 = 196 - 28 = 168 damage.
Resistance: Enemies fail.
Pleasure: 4 + 9 = 13 PP.

Krig puts up a Holy Wall with the +20 Resistance option.

Resistance (Hellhounds vs Krig) : Krig wins against all three.
Damage: 6 + 4 = 10 * 2 = 20 damage each.

As Tamonten came hurtling out of the bakery while screaming in protest to the massive armored man manhandling Krig, Varthic suddenly called out; "Pano watch out!" The bulky man moved with surprising agility, but that still wasn't enough to avoid Tamonten's sudden attack. The flat side of her greatsword smashed against the front of his helmet, and as he recoiled from the blow Pano loudly cried; "Ow! She hit me!" Krig was dropped and tossed aside as he clutched at his face, backing right into the wall that the kitsune called up to block their other attackers.

The ogre promptly released the hellhounds, and the massive beasts promptly charged toward them even as Pano collapsed forwards, snoring loudly. They slammed into the wall and rebounded off of it, yelping in pain as the white light seared their flesh. The three collared beasts began pacing in front of the wall, growling darkly as the ogre pulled its club off of its back. The other knight, despite seeing his comrade fall, simply sighed in resignation and gestured forward with two fingers. A squad of four riflemen started forward, but rather than try for the wall they circled around to the side of the bakery and vanished from sight. "They always have to make this sort of thing difficult," he muttered under his breath, though Tamonten and Krig could still hear what he said. Krig, meanwhile, glared at Tamonten for a moment and muttered; "Did you just call me Betty!?"

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

"Damn right I did!" Tamonten proclaimed in response to Pano's pained cry. "And anybody else who touches Krig is losing their hands!" Of course, this meant little to the knight as he ended up unconscious. And his vulnerability to the two women didn't seem to dissuade any of his comrades from continuing on the attack. But, before the swordswoman could continue and belittle their lack of concern, the foxgirl made her own complaints clear. "Uh, er, n-no..." The possessed girl started in response, once again showing her complete lack of proficiency for lying. Somewhere out there was a paladin with a ring of truth on his finger who was a better liar than her. "You must have misheard or something... with all the action and adrenaline... Er, maybe we can talk about this later?" She asked, nodding to the group of attackers and rubbing the back of her head with her manacled arm.

She quickly jumped on her own change of subject before Krig could offer a vocal response to begin harshly taunting the remaining knight and his group. It took her a few moments to regain the momentum of her earlier claims. She turned toward the one called Varthic and berated him. "Did you say we made it difficult!? You're the ones who attacked two peaceful travelers with such a group! And your comrade manhandled an innocent, pretty—" she felt it was never too early to start patching up the 'Betty' incident with Krig "—lady despite her protests! The very comrade whose well-being you ignore by attacking us while he's at our mercy! I'll have you know that I am Tamonten, daughter of a great swordsman," she, of course, didn't expect them to recognize any name she threw at them, "and I have slain a father of the alraune, bested a faerie knight in single combat, and have yet to be defeated by your kin!" The last claim was a bit of a technicality, given that the only kin of theirs that she had truly been in any prolonged combat with was the demon who had inhabited her arm.

"I intended to offer you peace, but you all lack honor to such an extent that I'm obviously going to have to punish you!" She shouted, full of bravado, hoping to awe the group with her supposed bravery. "We'll show you exactly what we can do!" She proclaimed to the heavens, basking in her own building righteous, at least she felt it was righteous, fury. The swordswoman readied her sword, she would strike down their apparent leader next. "Soften them up for me, if you would, Krig," she whispered to the spirit wielder. "And keep an eye out for the riflemen, I'd prefer to have an idea of where the bullets are coming from before I'm swiss cheese." She didn't go into depth, she was sure that the spirit wielder knew what the plan was after having used it so many times. Tamonten simply had to trust the kitsune to keep her safe. And she most certainly did trust the violet-haired woman.

She awaited the foxgirl's fireball. When it was cast, she would go running at the one called Varthic with her greatsword held high and drive the flat of the blade into his helmet just as she had done with Pano. It was her best chance, she felt. If she could strike down the two apparent leaders of the group, she'd have cut the head off the snake. With luck, the rest might be too demoralized to continue fighting against a woman who had just made such brash claims and defeated the two armored figures so swiftly, or at least hesitate enough to buy her precious time.

So, she really hoped luck was on her side that day.

Tamonten will wait for dat Krig to cast a holy fire on Varthic and anything else she can hit with it, then run up and whap him in the face with her greatsword using supreme might 20:20 and defensive fighting 20:20. Trying to knock him unconscious, not kill him. (Preferably, delay her action until after Krig's this round and then go out. Barring that, she'll wait until next round and then do it.)

Attack: 48 = 88 [base] - 20 [Supreme Might] - 20 [Defensive Fighting]
Damage: 2d12 + 74 = 54 [base] + 20 [Supreme Might]

Stats: 70 Dodge, 31 Resistance, 3 Armor (TP = 29, DU = 3), 25 Perception.

Should Krig miss, or Tamonten be completely disallowed from both delaying her turn and waiting a round, then Tamonten will use slay and defensive fighting instead. Stats for that attack below the spoiler in order to avoid more confusion than absolutely necessary. >.>
Still trying to knock him unconscious instead of killing him.

Attack: 48 = 88 [base] - 20 [Slay] - 20 [Defensive Fighting]
Damage: 2d12 + 54 (x2 for Slay)

Stats: 60 Dodge, 31 Resistance, 3 Armor (TP = 29, DU = 3), 25 Perception.

C'mon terrify, don't fail me now!

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

Tamonten: HP = 48/81, PP = 31/57, EP = 62, Status = Injured

NPC Stats:
Krig: HP = 46, PP = 47, EP = 113/121, Status = Fine, Holy Wall

Rolls
Attack (Krig) : All hits.
Damage: 4 + 3 + 1 = 8 * 10 = 80 damage. There's armor in there, but I don't think it's enough to make a difference to yon tier 1 mook rifledemons. >.>

Attack (Tamonten) : Miss.

Varthic uses Flurry of Blows to get a total of 3 attacks, taking a -16 penalty to all attacks and a -10 penalty to damage. He replaces his first attack with Disarm and his third attack with Trip.
Attacks (Varthic) : All three hit.
Resistance (Disarm) : Tamonten wins! She gets to keep her greatsword.
Damage: 6 + 40 - 10 - 3 = 33 damage. Her armor is at 17/29 TP.
Resistance (Trip) : Tamonten wins! She gets to keep her feet too!
Pleasure: 4 + 9 = 13 PP taken.

The battle ogre, meanwhile, tries to pound his way through Krig's barrier.
Resistance: Krig wins.
Damage: 5 + 3 = 8 * 2 = 16 damage.

Pano miraculously gets up and derps at Krig some.

Krig glared irritably at Tamonten for a moment, her ears twitching repeatedly, but the current situation diverted her attention again when the thinner knight began to speak, "I don't care about his well being. Really, you'd be doing me a favor by killing him, then I wouldn't have to put up with him anymore!" When Tamonten issued her name and her accomplishments the demon laughed scornfully and replied, "Am I supposed to know who you are, half blood? More importantly, am I supposed to be impressed because you killed a plant and beat up a fairy?" He laughed again, and this time the scorn in his voice was even more pronounced than before. "That's rich! Really, but you're outclassed. You haven't the slightest idea of who you're talking to, do you? I am Varthic, Prince of all demonkind! You should bow to me, little weakling!"

Tamonten's next line regarding his lack of honor didn't seem to phase the man much, though she couldn't see his face through his helmet to gauge his expression. "Spread out and leave the white haired wench to me," was all he said in response, clearly not directing the words at Tamonten and Krig. His men started doing just that, and Krig didn't bothered responding as she quickly capitalized on their brief confusion to conjure a ball of white fire and hurl it through the barrier that she'd set up. It exploded within the group of soldiers, catching three of them and burning them to dust while sending the other demons into a state of confusion.

Even with several of their number burned to dust, the demons respected their master's order enough to leave Tamonten alone as she charged out of Krig's protective barrier, even the hellhounds and the ogre moving away from her as they spread out to avoid more of Krig's wrath. Varthic stood impassively, arms crossed over his chest as Tamonten hurtled toward him with her sword raised high to strike. When her sword came down with all of her might and momentum behind it, however, the man snapped into motion.

Making the motion appear almost casually, his hand snapped up and caught her blade between his index finger and thumb, halting it dead in place and then keeping it there for a few seconds. "All too easy," he muttered, and then suddenly snapped his fist forward into Tamonten's stomach, the blow incredibly powerful despite how little effort he seemed to be putting into it, and it was enough to knock the wind from her lungs. Then, moving surprisingly quickly for one clad in heavy armor, he ducked and swept Tamonten's legs out from under her before savagely kicking her aside as she fell, sending her flying almost halfway back to the wall of white light. He had held on to her sword with his fingers throughout the whole process, but Tamonten found that both of her hands were stronger than his two fingers and managed to keep hold of her blade. She also managed to roll with the fall (without tearing herself apart on her greatsword) and come back up from the kick more or less on her feet.

"Not bad," Varthic said upon seeing her retain her feet, though his tone was anything but respectful. Three parts arrogant and one part mocking about summed it up really. "I expected a puny creature like you to fold under one punch. You're going to wish you'd let yourself fall and stayed on the ground soon enough," he continued as he started toward her, arms swinging casually at his sides even though his gauntlet-clad fists were balled into fists.

The other demons were not idle despite their leader's orders, however, as the hellhounds began to circle Tamonten and Varthic, though they gave both fighters a healthy ten foot berth. The soldiers that remained outside promptly raised their weapons and fired at the barrier, but they might as well have been chucking rocks at a stone wall for all the good that it did them. Those who had circled around didn't make an appearance yet, so Tamonten and Krig at least had a little time to deal with their current opponents. Varthic cast them an annoyed expression and said, "Don't waste your ammo. And besides, we want them alive!" The armored ogre, meanwhile, took some initiative and tried to smash its way through the barrier using its club, but all it got for its efforts were burned hands as the wall flared brightly as soon as it made contact.

"Ow," Pano suddenly said as he sat bolt upright. Krig looked like she nearly jumped out of her skin when the unconscious man moved so soon after being apparently knocked out, but the knight turned toward Tamonten and glared at her through his dented helmet, which he removed and revealed a fairly plain face (for a demon) that had a thin mustache that turned sharply downwards a short ways past his lips and thick eyebrows, but the top of his head was completely hairless. Tossing aside the protective headgear, he rubbed his head for a moment and then said, "Not gonna lie, dick move."

He turned toward Krig, who didn't have anywhere to go that wasn't into the bakery or outside of her protective bubble, and continued in an almost childishly whining tone that sounded very odd in his heavily masculine voice, "Betty! Your friend is really mean!" Krig, utterly at a loss for words, glanced at Tamonten and then back at the armored man who now had her cornered before replying, "She, uhh... Was just trying to protect me! She probably thought you were going to hurt me when you grabbed me like that!" Pano, apparently taking offense to this, sulked for a moment and then muttered in a hurt voice, "I wasn't gonna hurtcha."

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

That could have gone better, the swordswoman considered as she picked herself off the ground in order to prepare for the apparent prince of demon's second attack. She tried to think of some way to stop the skilled fighter from closing and delivering the blow that would finish her but could come up with nothing. He was too fast, she was too slow, his strength was insane and hers wanting. At the rate they were going, there was nothing she could do, she was going to lose. But she didn't feel sad, or scared, or anything, really, just that she had failed. The demon in her arm would win out in the end after all, it seemed, and that, despite all she had done, she wasn't strong enough to be rid of it.

"Prince, King, Janitor, I care about your name and title about as much as you care about mine," she replied despite her condition, panting as she attempted to pull oxygen back into her lungs and cracking a smile as he closed on her. "If I only threatened to punish people who were weaker than me, I'd be a coward. And don't doubt that I'm not going down with clean hands and a shining sword." Her threat might have lost some of its meaning given that her hands were still covered with stalker blood, but that had dried and she sought to apply another coat.

She had few delusions about what she might accomplish against the armored figure, though, at best she would draw blood before he punched her directly into unconsciousness. Still, there was one duty that she hadn't given up on, seeing Krig safely away. If she could buy time, the kitsune could run. Varthic was obviously the most dangerous one left in the group, and the violet-haired woman had explained her ability to slay the alraune en masse, she could surely handle the others enough to escape.

And then Pano returned to his feet. Nothing else that had occurred to that point brought the terror out of the possessed girl faster than the hulking figure's sudden return to consciousness did. The words directed at her and exchanged with Krig went by her completely. She had hit him so hard that he shouldn't even have been able to see straight, let alone stand up and hold a conversation! "H-how? Who...? What are you!? Why aren't you unconscious!?"

Shit, shit, shit, shit, shit. Krig was in danger, she could do nothing to prevent the advance of the demonic prince, and Pano, a subordinate to the man she was fighting, was tough enough to take a full-on blow of her greatsword and keep on going. Tamonten panicked. She couldn't return to the safety of the shield and dispatch Pano, she doubted it would hold against the slim man. But Krig was cornered. What do I do?

I might be able to help, a voice, nearly forgotten and decidedly male, declared in her head. She grimaced outwardly. Not now, can't you tell that I'm being beaten to within an inch of my life by your prince? The swordswoman tried to will the voice away but, due in equal parts to the fatigue from the beating she had just received and the amount of corruption in the air around her, could not. I never voted for him, the voice in her arm replied sardonically. And, dear child, I have a vested interest in your well being. We are rather inseparable, after all, you and I.

The only response that Tamonten gave was to continue to try to force the demonic influence back, but still she couldn't, too distracted as she prepared her defenses for the attack to come. If you're too weak to hold me back with the help of your seal, how do you propose to beat the man in front of you? This finally prompted a response. I'd be fine if you'd shut up and go away! The voice, ever calm, ever as if it had fully anticipated her response, responded patiently. But it doesn't have to be like this, dear child, my power is here, waiting for you. We can work together, as a team. You and I could accomplish much. You need only borrow it from me. The swordswoman gave the mental equivalent of a scoff, even as her eyes watched Varthic. What's in it for you?

A short pause preceded the answer. Simple, dear child! I desire to start fresh, to show you my goodwill, that you might grant me some consideration in the future. The manacled girl quickly dismissed the reason as a lie and, as if sensing that, the demonic voice just as quickly pressed the subject. And, if you won't do it for yourself, dear child, think of your kitsune. Do you really believe that you have the power to stop both of them and secure an escape for her as you are? Imagine what will happen to her...

No...

But it was too late, the thoughts were already coming on, coaxed by the demon inside her. She saw Krig violated by all manner of demon, including several that she didn't recognize. But watching her lover's rapes in her head half-a-hundred times wasn't nearly as horrifying as watching the light slowly drain from her unusually colored eyes, to watch her slowly give into the whims of the demons as her mind broke. She went silent both physically and mentally.

I know it'll be dangerous, but if I'm with you, I won't have anything to worry about, she could remember Krig saying.

What do I do? She finally asked. That's a good– Shut up and tell me what I have to do. The voice continued patiently, as if it hadn't noticed the girl's mounting anger. Simply put a scratch in the seal. The rest will come easily, dear child. With her instructions received, the swordswoman risked one last glance back to Krig, who was now cornered by Pano, then returned her gaze to Varthic. "Krig... I'm so sorry..." She whispered, a distant echo of what she had said after the fall of the black oak.

The manacled girl planted her greatsword in the ground and drew her hunting dagger. She held her shaking blackened arm to her side as still as she could. Her pale hand brought the dagger to the armlet, where arcane-looking runes had been etched in, and, with as much force as she could apply, dragged it across the metal. It proved to be incredibly brittle due to the amount of energy it held, allowing the dagger to sink into it as it might a piece of pine. The effects were immediate.

At first, she became markedly more aware of the energy in her body. There was so much that she had never utilized or touched before, so much that she had never known about. It was wondrous and left her feeling like she'd had a second wind. She could, only barely, feel Krig's spirit in the air as well, likely a result of the wall, it felt familiar to her, like a food she had tasted before—which she might later realize that she had, in a way. More terrifyingly, she could faintly feel the demon's energy in her arm, a veritable whirlwind. And a small stream of it began to spill out, intermingling with her own energy.

Pain overwhelmed her immediately as her muscles tensed. Her eyes went wide and she nearly doubled over in pain, dropping her hunting knife to the ground in order to clutch at herself. The pain did not subside, but a second sensation came soon after: power. She felt strong enough to wrestle the ogre, to tear through Varthic with her bare hands and, more alarmingly, she felt angry enough to. Rage like she had felt at Pano's manhandling of Krig and the oak coursed through her body, she wanted nothing more than to punch the cocky prince's teeth out, and it took all her willpower to avoid lunging at him as she finally gained enough control to return entirely upright.

She did her best to ignore that her power was from the creeping death in her arm as she regarded Vanthric and she found, the longer she looked at him, that it was easy to do so for the fury pouring through her veins. "Alright, let's try this again." She announced through gritted teeth. "They say there's no cure for being a cunt, but I'm going to at least try to punch it out of you," she added in a sudden flash of uncontrollable rage which visibly surprised even her.

Tamonten uses Fell Might x = 14 and quick draws unarmed.

Spirit Ceiling is 12, so this costs a total of 16 EP and 3 HP (including Fell Might's 1 HP cost).

Stats (with Fell Might) 102 Dodge, 45 Resistance, 3 Armor (TP = 29, DU = 3), 25 Perception.

Also, for convenience, next round she'll be using: Flurry of Blows with 3 attacks, 10:10 Defensive Fighting, and Stunning Blow on each.

Fell Might Upkeep is 12 EP and 10 HP.

Attack Modifier: 70 = 62 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 16 [Flurry] - 8 [Stunning Blow] - 10 [Defensive Fighting]
Damage: 1d8 + 58 = 34 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 10 [Flurry] - 8 [Stunning Blow]
Resistance Check vs 45 (3 times) or be stunned.

Stats (with Fell Might and defensive fighting) 112 Dodge, 45 Resistance, 3 Armor (TP = 29, DU = 3), 25 Perception.

Sorry about disappearing, my internet went out! Also, there is no way I'm not going to regret taking this suggestion from you. ;_;

Tamonten: HP = 47/81, PP = 31/57, EP = 48/62, Status = Injured, Fell Might X = 14

NPC Stats:
Krig: HP = 46, PP = 47, EP = 113/121, Status = Fine, Holy Wall

Rolls
Tamonten engages kaioken attack. Not really, Fell Might X = 14, and will pay 12 EP and 10 HP upkeep every round.

Krig doesn't do anything other than pay her 4 EP upkeep for her wall.

Varthic uses Flurry of Blows to get a total of 5 attacks, taking a -32 penalty to all attacks and a -20 penalty to damage.
Attacks (Varthic) : All five miss.

Everyone else just sort of hangs out.

Varthic growled at Tamonten's mocking words, and when he replied his voice was loud and filled with anger, "Puny, disrespectful, cur!" He leaped into motion then, moving faster than one so weighted down had any right to, but as Tamonten entered into her silent conversation the world around her seemed to slow down. She could see him moving as if in slow motion, could see all the other demons doing the same around him, but in those short moments in which she conversed with the demon within her it all seemed incredibly distant, as if it were happening to someone else somewhere far away. Like the images conjured in the mind of a listener by a well told story, or memories that laid half forgotten until a spark of similar circumstances brings them back to mind.

Before he'd reached the halfway point their conversation was over, and the deal had been made with her demon. When Tamonten began to move to scratch the seal on her arm she found that she moved in the same slow motion, the approaching demon shifting his posture smoothly even as he charged toward her. The sight of such fluid motion present visible in full detail might have been more appealing to the weapons-master had it not been aimed directly at her, but for now she couldn't just see the violence intended in Varthic's charge. She could admire the demon knight's form and skill in fine detail even as he barreled toward her with the clear intent of reducing her to a quivering mass on the ground.

By the time she'd plopped her sword into the ground and gotten her hunting knife out, Varthic had turned the distance between them from half to a quarter, and still Tamonten and the world moved in slow motion. She could see and hear other things around her, but as Varthic closed in it all became blurry and indistinct. As Tamonten dragged her blade across the seal on her arm, scarring it beyond her ability to repair, Varthic curled in a manner that signaled that he was going to jump, probably into a kick directed at her head.

Then came the pain, and even Tamonten's opponent became indistinct and blurry. For a heartbeat, Tamonten was alone in the world, all of her perceptions blocked out as she curled up and felt her demon's power mingling with her own essence, corrupting her in ways she could only guess at. But then, another heartbeat later, she felt the power beginning to course through her body and soul, and with it her rage rose as well. Her vision unclouded, and she beheld Varthic hurtling through the air with his right leg at full extension as a kick aimed right at her head. She heard a panicked cry from behind her in a strangely familiar voice, but the words were coming too slowly for Tamonten to comprehend them with the fury and power coursing through her as they were now.

She realized something else as she moved to dodge the kick reflexively. Though the rest of the world might be moving in slow motion, she wasn't any more.

The spinning kick was almost pathetically easy to duck under, but Varthic recovered from the miss with flawless grace and dropped to a low kick, once more trying to sweep Tamonten's legs out from under her. When she jumped over that he simply completed his turn and shifted his momentum into an uppercut, which Tamonten also avoided with ease. An angry growl escaped her opponent, that much she could comprehend even like this, and he aimed a quick looping punch at her face with his left hand as he rotated out of the failed uppercut, and when she smoothly avoided that attack as well he spun and sent his elbow at the side of her head. The fifth attack was about as successful as the first four, and afterwards Varthic threw himself backwards and away from her, attempting to disengage.

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

Power. Incredible power. It was the sort of strength she had always dreamed of. Were there any she couldn't fight with the dark essence flowing through her? Even dodging the graceful attacks of the apparent prince of demons was child's play with the unholy might slipping through her seal. She ducked and dodged and weaved. And when the last elbow was thrown, it was Varthic who wanted distance between them. She looked at him, eyes practically shaking with murderous intent and a wide, maniacal grin.

Something else had come along with the power, it was as if her head was clouded. Half of her conscious thoughts were lost in what felt like a whirlpool, funneling down some invisible drain and into the ether. The power was as intoxicating as the wine she had tasted with Jasmine, but it didn't make her happy or horny; the only lust she had was one for blood. This isn't the way you wanted this power, her thoughts proclaimed. It will consume you, root and stem! But she couldn't even hold onto her own warning.

Tamonten wanted to hurt something, to kill something, in a feeling she had never had before. The swordswoman had killed, but never without duty or self defense as a reason. But then, as she looked upon the armored figure who had punched her, she might have claimed self defense, but she really only wanted to see if his blood was truly blue.

Her hands clenched and unclenched several times before finally settling into fists. She was silent, slasher's expression worn firmly as she leapt after him. Her pale hand would strike first, aimed at his midsection and without concern that the man wore heavy armor. Her follow up came in the form of her blackened hand, which she swung at him from the left like a hammer, intent on smashing the iron of her wrist shackle into his helmet. Afterward, she planted her foot on his chest and simply pushed with it, intending on knocking him to the ground.

The possessed girl's thoughts only grew more alarmed as her attack pressed on. This isn't how you should deal with this opponent! Most invariably started before swirling away. There are others about, you have to keep an eye on them and be ready! She couldn't even warn herself. It was as if she was watching some distant person ready to beat the demonic prince to death. She had to stop herself, somehow, but everything seemed to get lost in the clouds. Tamonten had to think of something that she could hold onto or she would try to kill Varthic with her bare hands for all the wrong reasons.

Krig! You've got to protect Krig! The clouds in her thoughts parted, ever so slightly. But it was still a struggle, she had to keep trying, before she was successful in ending the man.

Tamonten will use Flurry of Blows x3, Stunning Blow first two, Trip on the third. Trying not to kill Varthic, for some strange reason I still want him to live. >.>

Stunning Blow Attacks:
Attack: 80 = 62 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 16 [Flurry] - 8 [Stunning]
Damage: 1d8 + 58 = 34 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 10 [Flurry] - 8 [Stunning]
2 resistance rolls against 1d20 + 45 or he's stunned.

Trip Attack:
Attack: 88 = 62 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 16 [Flurry]
Damage (If Stunned): 1d8 + 66 = 34 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 10 [Flurry]
Resistance check vs 1d20 + 45 or he's prone.
Automatically hits and wins the resistance check if he's stunned, Only deals damage if he's stunned.

12 EP upkeep, 10 HP upkeep.

If she succeeds, she will use the following next round:
Flurry of Blows x5 + Shattering Blow on all of them!
Attack: 62 = 62 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 32 [Flurry] - 10 [Shattering Blow]
Damage: 1d8 + 40 = 34 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] - 20 [Flurry] - 10 [Shattering Blow]
x2 damage for shattering blow.

Note: Still don't want to kill him. Plan is to stop herself RP-wise next post before she can go that far.

Stats (with Fell Might) 102 Dodge, 45 Resistance, 3 Armor (TP = 29, DU = 3), 25 Perception.

Cheat Sheet

Tamonten attacks!
Attack: All three hit.
Damage (Double Stunning Blow) : 1 + 58 - 36 = 23 damage per punch.
Resistance (Stunning Blow) : Tamonten wins, Varthic is stunned!
Resistance (Trip) : Tamonten wins automatically, Varthic is knocked prone!
Damage (Trip) : 4 + 66 - 36 = 34 damage.

Pleasure (Sadist) : 4 + 9 = 13 per hit, total 39. Tamonten orgasms.

Attack (Pano) : Hit.
Damage: 1 + 35 + 15 - 3 = 48 damage. Her clothes are also shredded.
Pleasure (Masochist) : 4 + 9 = 13 PP. She just loves to get dem 4s. >.>

Krig uses Lay on Hands X = 14 to restore all of Tamonten's HP.

Tamonten heard voices from her surroundings as she advanced on the retreating Varthic, but they were muffled as if they were coming through a great deal of material to reach her, and even had she been able to play attention she wouldn't have understood a word. The object of her fury was standing right before her, and she leaped after him with dark power surge through her body the likes of which she'd never before experienced.

Her first blow caught the knight in the midsection and caused him to double over in pain, his retreat halting as his steps faltered, and when she pulled her pale hand back Tamonten saw that she'd left a fist shaped dent in his black armor. Despite the fact that she'd just punched demonic steel hard enough to smash it inwards, Tamonten didn't feel any pain in her hand. Her next blow likewise dented his helmet inwards as her manacle smashed into it, and would have sent him stumbling to the side had he not been moving so slowly that her next attack came before he had time to do so.

When Tamonten pushed her foot against his chest, the effort she'd intended merely to push him over was enough to send him hurtling backwards, her foot causing another dent to appear in his armor. Varthic flew about ten feet before coming down and rolling like a ragdoll for another five, ending up in a tangled heap left twitching on the ground. Joy surged throughout Tamonten's body at the sight of the man lying on the ground, and all of a sudden orgasmic pleasure surged throughout her body, that and the sensation of her love honey flowing down her legs the first sensations that she'd noticed since the pain of empowering herself with her demon's strength had left her mind. Momentarily paralyzed by her climax, Tamonten nonetheless finally understood some of the words coming her.

"Varthic! I'mma comin!" Pano's voice was fast enough that Tamonten could comprehend it, but she wasn't at all prepared for the blow that followed. Pano's leg, almost as thick around as her midsection, came around from the right and slammed directly into Tamonten's chest halfway between his foot and knee. Tamonten felt ribs break under the force of the blow, and was thrown back through Krig's protective wall in a manner eerily similar to the way that she'd kicked Varthic backwards. She could see Pano recovering from his kick, the big blocky man standing solidly as a soft white glow surrounded him.

Tamonten smashed into the wall of the bakery and tore through it, and finally the pain pushed through her power. She coughed, and saw a wave of blood come forth from her mouth even as her vision began to fade. "Tamonten!" Krig's scream pushed back the descending darkness, and in an instant the kitsune was on top of her. Still empowered as she was, Tamonten could feel the woman preparing to use her own power somehow, and she found out how as Krig pressed her hands against Tamonten's chest, which she only now realized was no longer covered by her clothing. Pano must have kicked her hard enough to shred even the durable faerie garb.

The pain suddenly vanished, and Tamonten could feel her ribs knitting back together. Within seconds all of the pain was gone, even that caused by the power flooding through her body had vanished from Kringlicsly's healing magic. Her perceptions returned to normal even though the demon's power could still be felt flowing through her, and she noticed that the four soldiers who had come through the back were standing around the hole she'd made, staring at the two of them in disbelief. They didn't seem to be attempting to do anything hostile, they weren't even pointing their guns at the two of them, but they were present behind the barrier nonetheless.

"You okay Varthic?" Pano said while still glaring after Tamonten, and Varthic groaned and replied, "She's.... Stronger... Than she looks." He was still on the ground but seemed to be on the verge of recovering from the blows she'd railed against him. Krig glanced back at them through the hole in the wall as she helped Tamonten to her feet, anger clearly evident in the kistune's features.

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

The swordswoman smiled all the wider at the sight of the demonic prince in a heap on the ground. Liquid pleasure ran through her veins at the idea of what she had done to him, at how she had overpowered him. The sight of him flying away from her like a ragdoll replayed again and again in her mind as she prepared to strike the finishing blow. It was lucid and powerful enough that she, with the aid of her demonic corruption, spontaneously orgasmed on the spot. She shuddered and gasped softly as the waves of the minor climax broke against her body. Tamonten closed her eyes and sighed as it subsided. Even as part of her reeled against what had just happened, deriding herself for the shamefulness of it all, she couldn't help but wonder how it would feel when she struck the killing blow.

Despite all her efforts to turn herself away, she couldn't. All good things had to come to an end, and so did Varthic, she had decided, as she prepared to advance on him. But Pano intervened. She couldn't react in time as a thick leg crashed into her chest, sending her hurtling back towards Krig's wall. And even though her orgasm had been replaced with waves of agony from ribs that were surely broken, she could still feel the faintest traces of pleasure from the attack. What's becoming of me? She silently wondered in a moment free of the clouds that seemed to fog her mind. Maybe it's better just to give into unconsciousness now.

"Tamonten!" The kitsune had cried out, causing the possessed girl's eyes to shoot open instantly. But there was still nothing she could do as she was but lay there. Or, at least that's what she had thought until Kringlicsly touched her chest and poured energy into her. The receding pain, the healed bones, feeling as good as new, all were nice. But the main benefit was the feel of the foxgirl's energy upon her; it was like being covered in a warm, familiar blanket that dispelled all the fog from her thoughts.

"Krig..." she started, as she managed to reassert some control over her own head. "Why are my tits out?" She asked with mock accusation, but a very genuine grin, as the kitsune withdrew her hands, a temporary return to joking. She was well aware of the effects of the kick on her clothing, leaving her shirt tattered and exposing most of her upper body. Hold onto this feeling, she told herself, regarding her humor and the feeling of warmth instilled in her by Krig's power, along with the reminder of the kitsune that it kept in her heart. It's the best means I've got to stave away the rage and the bloodlust.

She attempted to gently remove her kitsune lover from on top of her. Normally, she might have appreciated the position, but it seemed a bit inappropriate for their surroundings. And, in doing so, she discovered several riflemen looking at the two of them. "Whatever happened to privacy?" She asked aloud, as she returned to her feet with Krig's aid. The swordswoman stretched out, rotating her shoulders a few times as she regarded the riflemen. They seemed awed, it was something to build upon, because every second spent not dealing with Varthic and Pano, and maybe the ogre, was a wasted moment. As much as she desired to rush forward and knock the four out, they weren't the biggest threat present when it came to Krig's safety.

"You four are still lurking about?" She asked casually. "I think you're outmatched, you should probably run while you have the chance. You've seen what I did to your prince and his retainer, and what they did to me. Of the three of us, who's standing unscathed? There's no glory in dying in the crossfire. I mean, in the blink of an eye she put up a wall that you couldn't breach, she could easily drop that one and put up another around us both, rendering your sneaking pointless, and then set you all on fire with only a thought, if you were to remain around." She gave Krig a meaningful glance, as if to suggest that was exactly what she wanted the kitsune to do. "I don't want to kill you, I don't even really want to hurt you, but if you stick around then you're going to shoot at her and I'm going to have to make you wish that I had wanted to kill you. If you run now that will save us all the trouble."

"Well, you've got a little bit of time to decide while I go finish up," she would suggest as she turned her back to them, assuming the kitsune was able to put up a new wall, if she wasn't then plans would have to change. But her main objective was to finish off Varthic and Pano then, giving them another precious few seconds to recuperate while she took care of riflemen that Krig could handle by herself would only endanger them both further. So, she went charging at the two, grabbing her greatsword from the ground as she went.

The woman would dash across the battlefield, steel trailing behind her at her side. As she came upon the two she would swing, once again, with the flat of her blade, still grounded enough her thoughts of Krig to avoid giving into the blood lust. But this time, she intended on hitting both of them with a spin, cutting off their leadership and breaking their remaining soldiers.

Tamonten will use Charge, Death from the Draw, Whirlwind, Slay, and Defensive Fighting 20:20 on Pano and Varthic. Focus on Pano if she can't get both on this round.

Note: This requires that Krig be able to create a holy wall that will effectively cover her from all angles, even if it means backing into a corner of the bakery to do so, using +20 resistance again. If she isn't able to do that then I'm going to need to rewrite a chunk of this post. >.> It also requires that Tamonten be able to retrieve her sword or, again, gonna need to do some rewrites.

Attack: 90 = 88 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] + 6 [Death from the Draw] + 6 [Charge] - 20 [Defensive Fighting] - 20 [Slay] - 10 [Whirlwind]
Damage: 2d12 + 96 = 54 [Base] + 42 [Fell Might] + 4 [Charge] + 6 [Death from the Draw]
Deals damage to enemies in an aoe, deals x2 damage.

Stats (With penalties and bonuses): 82 Dodge, 45 Resistance, 0 Armor, 25 Perception

An additional 10 (overall 14) PP damage if her opponent is a member of the fey, a plant, a kitsune, Krig, has a fox tail, has fox ears, has violet hair (i.e. +50 if Krig, +30 if a normal kitsune), or she or her partner are draining energy. She regains EP equal to half of PP damage taken.

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

Tamonten: HP = 71/81, PP = 18/57, EP = 50/62, Status = Fine, Fell Might X = 14

NPC Stats:
Krig: HP = 46, PP = 47, EP = 93/121, Status = Fine, Holy Wall

Rolls
Tamonten will pay 12 EP and 10 HP upkeep every round.

Tamonten attacks with whirlslay! Slaywind!
Attack: She hits both!
Damage: 10 + 5 + 96 = 111 * 2 = 222 - 36 = 186 damage on Varthic and Pano. They are both properly ktfod!

Pleasure (Sadist) : 4 + 9 = 13 * 2 = 26!

Tamonten gains 8 experience! Krig only gains 4 exp though.

The rest of the demons run. Most of them, at least.

Krig gave a startled laugh at Tamonten's sudden question, amused before she could stop herself but quickly turning a glare onto the pale swordsman. Krig moved herself off of Tamonten's lap without much need for prodding on the possessed girl's part, and the riflemen poking their heads in through the hole in the wall looked embarrassed for a second before pulling away. The four men glanced at one another and then back at Tamonten, and then back at one another. Then, they all shrugged and backed away, making sure to look as if they weren't threatening Krig in the slightest. The kitsune followed her out of the building, not even glancing at the two ranks of demonic soldiers they passed as she said, "Please be more careful! I can't stitch your head back on even with magic!"

Then, she idly glanced at the soldiers and glared at them for a moment, "Go away." That, combined with Tamonten pointing out that she'd been more or less slaughtering Pano and Varthic by herself, was enough to send the men scrambling back through the hole and out of sight. That left Tamonten to deal with the two knights, the smaller of whom had managed to raise himself up to his elbows despite the rain of blows she'd lain onto him. "Pano...." he grunted with some effort, "beat her into the ground! To hell with Xeon's orders, bring her down however you have to!"

"Don't you worry about a thing Varthic! I'll be real careful! She doesn't stand a chance!" the big man spoke with absolute confidence as he glanced back at the alleged demon prince, who was managing to climb back to his feet just then. "I'll be fine, go and deal with them," Krig said patiently as she shooed Tamonten forth.

The bigger armored man turned back toward Tamonten as she started her charge, retrieving her greatsword along the way. "You don't stand a chance Betty's-friend! I'm gonna beat you until-"

*ding* Her sword made a loud clanging sound as it slapped against Pano's head, and Varthic had enough time to utter the first syllable of a curse before her sword made the same noise only deeper against the prince's still helmeted head. Pano went down instantly, his golden glow vanishing, but Varthic managed to tumble slightly to the side and even regain his footing momentarily. There was a dent the size of a fist in his helmet, and he regained his footing only to lose it immediately. When Varthic tumbled, the hellhounds and the ogre promptly turned around and fled in one direction, while the soldiers still out in the open turned and did the same.

When the other men came around to the front and saw their leaders fallen, they made to do the same but were stopped in their tracks as Krig threw up a dome of white light around them.

Pano, out cold
Varthic, out cold
Battle Ogre, taken 16 damage, fleeing
3 Hellhounds, taken 20 damage apiece, fleeing
8 soldiers, half fleeing, half stuck in Krig's wall

The clang of her sword against the two knights seemed to vibrate throughout her very core. She was very nearly pushed to a second orgasm due to the corruption of the demon. The fel influence in her demanded that she finish them and seek greater pleasure by removing their heads. It took most of her concentration to ignore it. In the end, she had to try to force the unholy strength away completely, for the time being, in order to dispel the desire. It was a ferocious struggle. The inexperienced girl had little control over her energy, and before she could force the demonic energies out of her, she had dropped to her hands and knees. She ended up relying entirely upon Krig to keep her safe should any of the fleeing demons have changed their mind and decided her an easy target as she tried to bottle her own demon. By the time she had finally achieved victory over the tainting presence and managed to push it past her breached seal and into her blackened limb, she had worked up as much sweat as she had in the prior few minutes.

Tamonten stood up on wobbly legs when it was all said and done, then sheathed her greatsword. "Nice catch," she complimented the kitsune as she focused on the riflemen. The swordswoman waited for anything that Krig might have to say, but her verbal attention turned on their captives shortly afterward. The manacled girl approached the glowing dome, standing only a few steps away from it as she addressed the group. "There's no need to try to flee or to panic, all of you will be released unharmed, since you wisely followed our instructions," she assured them in what was perhaps not the best way to start an interrogation. "But your cooperation would be appreciated, while you're here. I have come seeking the Lady of," she paused as she tried to remember the word, "Acheron. I came with peaceful intent, until we were accosted. I still don't want to harm or kill any of you, and now that I'm in a position where I don't have to, I will continue not to."

"Your prince and his... friend... are alive, though I believe the former greatly deserved a few knocks. I would leave them alive and in the care of your group to return to safety." She gave a short glance at the unconscious armored figures, almost expecting Pano to stand again after the last time. "If you would tell me a few things in return for this kindness, I would be thankful. You seem organized, who do you serve? Your prince? A king or queen above him? What was your mission, exactly? Where would you have taken us, if we had been captured? And, finally, do you know where I might find the Lady of Acheron?" She offered a laundry list of questions that she was interested in the answers to but she wasn't overtly threatening. The battle was over, she wouldn't execute them unless they had or would have done something truly abhorrent. Whether they refused to answer or spilled their hearts, they would likely soon be released and allowed to take the unconscious armored men with them.

One more question did come to mind before she gave them the opportunity to answer the rest, though; "I don't suppose any of you might know where I might get a shirt? This isn't my sort of thing," she added, subconsciously covering her exposed chest by crossing her arms.

Deactivate Fell Might. Sheathe greatsword. Question soldiers and stuff. Hopefully repair or find new shirt.

Not sure if Battery EP was regenned from the sadist PP damage, by the way. Normally wouldn't mention it but since she can't regen by resting, could be trouble in the future. >.>

Or foxgirl smut... Not sure if I should have mentioned it or not, now.

"Easy as pie!" Krig remarked with a grin as she too strode up to the captured soldiers. The kitsune crossed her arms and glared at the men with utter disdain as Tamonten assured them that they would be released. The demon riflemen glanced at one another at her reassurance, though whether they really believed her or not was indiscernible. When she suggested that Varthic could use a few knocks two of them rolled their eyes while another smirked, but the one closest to Tamonten simply frowned slightly. He had a bushy salt-and-pepper mustaches and somewhat wrinkled skin, unusual for a demon, but he was also possessed of very sharp features and a strong jawline, making him appear very official and dignified.

They glanced at one another again when she started questioning them, it was this man that answered her questions in a firm but even tone, "We serve Lady Xeon, the esteemed Lady of Acheron, who happens to be the most powerful person in this city! We were sent under Lord Varthic's command to search the decrepit portions of this city for more of our kin to recruit to her cause and mortals to protect from them. Had you not initiated our contact by attacking my lord's second in command, I don't doubt that our Lord would have told you and your associate of the Lady's intentions and requested that you accompany us back to her. As it is, we are still prepared to do our duty despite your horrendous breaches of etiquette and your frankly atrocious manners!"

When asked where to find another shirt, the the speaker's expression turned sour and he didn't immediately respond. Taking the initiative, one of the demon's behind him casually remarked, "I dunno, I think the look works for yah miss!" The other two chuckled, but the first man turned to glare at them which quickly caused them to grow silent again, though apparently with great difficult. He turned to speak to Tamonten again, but one of the men who'd laughed cracked a smile and started to laugh. He hid the sound with a cough as the apparent leader of their group wheeled on him, and there was another long moment of silence as he glared darkly at the man.

Once he was sure that his subordinate, the older looking demon slowly turned back toward Tamonten and said, "My Lady has many tailors in her employ that might be able to fully repair your garments, but if you required a quicker substitute there is a shoppe two blocks to the North and eleven buildings down on the right hand side that might have what you require." The three other soldiers and Krig all glared at him incredulously, and the kitsune asked, "How do you know that so precisely?" The man who'd made the joke earlier piped in, "We didn't even go down that street!" The man straightened in a dignified manner and replied, "'Tis our task to be observant, miss. Also, I've examined the contents of that particular shoppe on numerous occasions myself. I like to knit in my off hours." Krig raised an eyebrow but remained silent while the other soldiers glared at their current commander's back in utter disbelief.

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

Well, that was awkward. It was very hard to feel regret for giving Varthic a bit of a beating. Still, the situation she had found herself in was exactly the opposite of what she had wanted. It was going to take one hell of an apology for the mess that had been caused. The swordswoman continued to listen to the man patiently, not interrupting. She blushed at the other demon's comment about her nudity; the unexpected response in the affirmative at her state of undress caused her to fumble to frame a reply, which turned out to be a good thing as she allowed the subject to continue without raising any further trouble.

The possessed girl decided to avoid the matter of the demon's knitting hobby entirely. "I am sorry," she finally said, regarding the man who had done the most speaking with her eyes as she did so. "I did not intend to do harm to a party of the Lady of Acheron. But, when your second-in-command picked milady up and immediately set about naming her—" she pointedly avoided looking at Krig "—Betty, and your commander suggested that he could keep her, I misread the situation and sought to defend her." Tamonten frowned. "But, this was on my hands. I will not hold a party of the Lady of Acheron from their duty any longer. You may go and take your lord and his second with you," she nodded at Krig to let the wall down.

"We will make our own way to the Lady of Acheron's holdings. I would prefer not to further burden you and to avoid any other potential such misunderstandings," and I don't trust any of you, she thought. It felt very possible that they weren't telling the truth about who they served and only sought to keep themselves alive. Best to let them be off then rather than risk them leading her into an ambush. She could have just killed them, of course, but she still didn't want to. And she did want to make a stop at the tailor, as stumbling into Xeon's territory with her breasts on display seemed a bad first impression to make, both adding further to the reasons that she didn't want their escort.

Assuming nothing else required her attention, once the riflemen departed she would turn to Krig and suggest; "Let's go clothes shopping." If the kitsune didn't have any objections, she would make her way toward the 'shoppe', as directed by the demons' temporary commander.

Tamonten heads to the tailoring shop which is so a trap. There isn't going to be kitsune smut waiting at this shop at all, I just know it. Or, if there is, there will be some tweest. ;_;

But, can't really have her walking into demonland without a shirt on. So, might as well.

When Tamonten apologized, everyone present save the man before her seemed somewhat surprised, Krig included. The leader of the patrol, however, maintained his dignified expression and replied, "No one was killed...." he trailed off and glanced at the four men that Krig had disintegrated before amending, "No one important was killed, twas just a big misunderstanding really. It's quite alright, I'm sure." Krig dropped the shield upon receiving Tamonten's nod, allowing the men to go free. The man who'd done the brunt of the speaking nodded and the other three moved out, two grabbing and lifting Pano, grunting with the strain of lifting the massive heavily armored man, while another carefully lifted Varthic.

"If you would wish an escort we would be happy to oblige, but if not I'd be happy to take your names! The guard will want to know who you are, you see." Whether Tamonten gave the man her and Krig's proper names or not, the soldiers were heading up the street a few moments later, leaving her and Krig alone once more. The kitsune's face alighted into a mischievous grin at Tamonten's suggestion and replied, "Yes, lets!" That expression fell away suddenly as Krig stared at her, and she said in a deeply troubled tone, "But first... I want you to promise that you won't do whatever it is you did to beat those two again... Alright? Just... Just promise me, okay?"

The two of them were off as well, and quickly found the clothing shop exactly where the demonic soldier had said it would be. It was in fairly good shape, the door and most of the windows still intact even though the latter were coated with so much grime that they were impossible to see through. "Hold on, I have an idea!" Krig said quietly as they stood a ways away from the door. She pointed at one of the broken windows and sent a tiny orb of white fire at it, the ball not much larger than a grape. There was a light flash and a light puff from inside the shop as the orb detonated, the explosion barely visible through the tarnished windows, and then several moments of silence.

"It's probly clear, at least on the first floor! Not many things are gonna lie in wait without making any noise after they get set on fire!" Krig announced excitedly after a short wait. Eying Tamonten with a smirk and a twinkle in her emerald eyes, the kitsune went on to say, "Shall we press onwards and see what we can find in there?"

"Tamonten," she replied to the question. "And she can remain Betty for the time being," she continued with a wide grin. "It'll be our little inside joke." Though, in truth, she was wary of giving the soldiers Krig's real name, or her nickname, the manacled girl played it off as a joke. Afterward, she watched the soldiers depart with the two, apparently heavy, armored figures, asking her question of Kringlicsly when they were out of hearing.

At the violet-haired foxgirl's request, Tamonten finally turned to look her directly in the eyes. She stared for a few moments, not in challenge but in contemplation. I want to promise... and I want it to be true, but my seal is damaged now. I can feel the hole where its essence can slip through. Nothing has changed yet, but I don't know that it won't. She closed her eyes, leaving her arms to remain crossed over her chest. I did it all to protect her. Truth be told, I'd do it all again, even knowing that those two were servants of the Lady I seek... She sighed and opened her eyes.

"You made me an important promise before we came here," she reminded, doubly worried that Kringlicsly would forget her promise to make a hasty retreat should something happen—especially if that something was Tamonten's demon escaping its prison. "If what I did has you worried, then I owe you at least this much assurance. I promise that I won't use that power again, Krig," I hope I'm not lying right now...

She waited until Krig seemed ready to leave before she continued walking, keeping her arms crossed over her chest the entire way. The demon's directions proved impeccable, he would have been handy to keep around as a map, had she trusted him. But, the shop turned out to be in good shape, and it might be nice to take a short rest with a roof over their heads, a prospect made only better by not having an escort that she didn't trust present.

The swordswoman continued to investigate the outside of the building until Krig suggested that she had an idea. Mere moments afterward, there was an explosion. It looked tame, but Tamonten knew well what it had done to the stalkers, not to mention the demon riflemen. "Won't that have burned the clo..." she trailed off after the kitsune's proclamation, noticing the other woman's expression. Somewhere inside her, that survival instinct that had sprung up when she first entered Artmirst had shifted back into full gear. Her gut urged her to flee as quickly as she possibly could. But she ignored that; it was only Krig, after all, she probably just had a prank in mind or something.

"That is what we're here for, right," she continued after several silent moments of looking at the spirit wielder uncertainly. "Let's see what we can see!" Tamonten added with forced enthusiasm as she uneasily crept into the tailoring shop.

Enter yon building!

Krig scowled darkly as Tamonten referred to her as the nickname that Pano had given her but said nothing to complain. "Very good ma'am. We'll be off presently," the soldier said calmly, and with that they were off. Later, Krig eyed Tamonten carefully for a moment before nodding and starting off with her, letting the matter drop. At Tamonten’s concern that it would burn the clothes within the shop, Krig shook her head and said, “No, not unless they’re worn by something evil at least. It’s a very unusual type of fire.

They entered the shop together a moment later and found everything more or less intact. There was a blood stain right in front of the door and a couple of racks had been overturned, spilling their contents onto the floor, but other than that and the dust that coated everything the place seemed to be mostly clean and safe. Krig followed Tamonten closely as she went in first and closed the door quietly behind them, glancing around at the assorted garments on display once she was sure that the coast was clear. There were definite signs that someone had been here before, as the overturned items looked to have only fallen recently and the dust on the floor was disturbed. Several items were missing, most noticeably several sowing kits and every single item that might have been made of wool and a great many more that had been made of cotton.

Since her and Krig’s clothing were made of silk, however, that wasn’t too much of a problem. Most of the silk and leather clothing remained, and most of it seemed to be sixed for women as well. There was no way onto the second floor that Tamonten or Krig could find inside of the shop, but there was a back door that was bolted and barred shut. Fine clothes and more practical garments had been mixed, and Krig gave a squeal of delight as she found one dress that she apparently liked. Facing away from Tamonten by happenstance at the time, the fox girl pulled her fey-made shirt up over her head and tossed it aside, revealing that she wore a similarly made clasp less bra beneath. She pulled her pants down a moment later, her fluffy tail momentarily disappearing and reappearing, even beginning to wave back and forth over her generous behind, which was covered in a pair of bright green silk panties. The kitsune didn’t disrobe fully, which was perhaps a great mercy on Tamonten even if Krig didn’t realize it, but instead pulled a long piece of shining red silk embroidered in black and wrapped it around herself. She quickly wrapped a black sash around her midsection that she tied into a wide bow behind her back, the dress lifting slightly due to the presence of her tail beneath it. Turning toward Tamonten with a wide grin, Krig folded her arms within the large sleeves of her newly acquired robe and asked in a mockingly imperious voice, “What do you think?

She giggled momentarily at herself before stepping over to Tamonten with the same mischievous look in her eyes that had set off the swordswoman’s defensive instincts earlier, “You know, we could probably pass for demons if we dressed appropriately!” Another step put her within arm’s reach of Tamonten, and, and even though she’d just donned it she gently tugged the silk ribbon out from around herself, “And if we act the part~!” Krig clearly had something in mind as she held up the piece of silk, but she didn’t seem to want to tell Tamonten what it was. Rather, the kitsune seemed quite intent on showing the possessed swordswoman whatever she had in mind first hand, as unless Tamonten stopped her Krig moved in and kissed Tamonten heavily on the lips.

Time hadn’t improved her kissing skills much, and the inexperienced kitsune was hardly a match for Jasmine in that department, but what she lacked in aptitude she seemed intent on making up for in sheer passion. Tamonten’s pale arm was wrapped thoroughly in one end of the silk band as Krig kissed her, and then softly pulled behind her back. There was nothing forceful about Krig’s actions, and Tamonten could easily stop anything that she thought was going a smidge too far, but if she didn’t put a halt to her lover’s actions quickly (or had not done so when she’d moved in for the kiss) Tamonten would find her blackened arm following her pale one in being bound behind her back by the other end of the silk ribbon, which Krig had somehow tied around a stand next to the counter in the process. Breaking the kiss to step back and admire her work, Krig allowed the untied robe to slide open and drop to the floor, the mischievous smile now accompanied by a faint blush that was also present on her chest and belly, clear signs of the girl’s arousal. Looking at Tamonten and appraising her work in binding the swordswoman, Krig smirked and repeated her earlier question, “What do you think?

Tamonten can try to fix her fairy clothing or take a set of leather armor, battlemage’s robes, or normal clothing. If there’s a particular style of clothing you want you just have to describe it, and so long as it’s not too outlandish I’ll allow it.

You might want to wait to put it on though. >.> Also, this post feels like it’s proceeding a little too quickly. Do let me know if you agree.

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

The idea of shopping, or, more accurately, scavenging, for clothes made Tamonten more giddy than she would ever openly admit to. It was a bit of a girly activity to her, who preferred to spend most of her time training with her sword, but she was a girl, after all. So what if she enjoyed looking at all the outfits and imagining what she'd look like in them? She thought of herself in pretty, frilly dresses with her hair done up, sultry little numbers with her hair let down, and casual clothing.

Her shopping was briefly interrupted at Krig's squeal of delight. The swordswoman looked at the kitsune and watched as she disrobed, although watching her disrobe was quickly dropped for simply ogling the kitsune. The pale-skinned girl never thought she'd be so attracted to another woman. Before her time with Jasmine it had never even crossed her mind. After the time spent in the embrace of the priestess, though, it seemed only natural, like she had found some part of herself that she never knew about.

Perhaps the lust had come with that, because for all that she tried to control it and expunge herself of it, arousal began to creep through her at the sight of Krig in her underwear. Being able to summon forth her unusual penis and slake her desires was too tempting to Tamonten. She squeezed her pale hand without thinking of it, reminiscing of their little trip through the bakery window and the morning spent in the sanctuary. Eventually she snapped out of it and forced herself to search for a sewing kit that could be used to repair her clothing, lest she be caught gawking. After my shirt is repaired I can look for the more exciting stock, she could already imagine Kringlicsly in silky lingerie...

Her sewing kit hunt was quickly interrupted by the foxgirl's request for an appraisal of how she looked, at which point she turned to look at the violet-haired woman. Stunning was probably the first word, but that wouldn't quite leave her lips. The manacled girl eventually looked her lover up and down, then up again to settle on her pretty face, then gave a wolf whistle. "Hummina-hummina," she said with a grin to match Krig's. That smile quickly turned to a frown as the spirit wielder suggested they could pass themselves off as demons; it didn't seem a particularly thrilling ability.

The frown was wiped away as quickly as it came as the kitsune suggested that they could act the part, changing the swordswoman's expression to a puzzled one. All traces of any of those were wiped away as Kringlicsly stepped forward and kissed her. She all but melted into her lover, allowing the other woman to take the lead. As her pale hand was looped by silk, Tamonten didn't even feel any concern, the spirit wielder could do as she liked as long as the kiss held up. And the kitsune apparently did, as when she pulled back the swordswoman found both of her hands tied behind her back to a stand.

Her heart raced at her helplessness. Equal parts excitement and fear wrestled for control of her stomach. The idea of being at Krig's every whim made her mouth dry in eager anticipation. She could already feel the arousal stirring in her body as her nipples stiffened in the still air of the clothing shop, the stirring in her groin, not of the magical appendage that she had called on so frequently the day before but simply her womanhood. A bead of moisture trickled down her leg; it was still hidden for now, but the idea that Kringlicsly would soon change that only made her more excited.

As the robes dropped from the kitsune's form, Tamonten swallowed hard. She stared at the woman with wide, uncertain eyes. She wasn't sure if Krig had ever looked sexier than she did then, with complete control over the pale girl. An effort to make a joke about finding a clothing shop just to end up naked in the end caught in her throat, as did a weak attempt to warn of the dangers of doing something in a shop in the middle of Artmirst. All that came out when the swordswoman moved her lips was a soft, cracked "hummina-hummina" in an echo of her earlier appraisal.

What she wanted to say the most, though, and what she would have said if she had found the voice to talk, was; Take me any way you want, Kringlicsly, I'm yours. She could only hope that the look of combined uncertainty, desperation for the kitsune's touch, and arousal would properly convey that.

Krig on top. Hnnnng.

I think it would only be moving quickly if Tamo was at all likely to resist this, which she is most definitely not. I mean, I'm pretty sure from a mechanical standpoint she takes at +64 PP damage just for Krig touching her right now. This is pretty much going to be her best day spent clothes shopping ever. >.>

A sewing kit was an easy enough find in the shop, as several were still present despite the several empty spaces visible in the dust on the shelf they were located on. Before she could actually grab the thing Krig had started her little act, and the first “hummina-hummina” from the pale swordswoman was met by a blushing smile from the kitsune. The second such sound in a row caused Krig to giggle mirthfully, clearly taking great amusement in the cracking, barely audible voice which seemed to be the only one available to Tamonten at the moment. A softly triumphant look came over the kitsune’s face as she strode toward the silk bound warrior, her hands reaching behind her back to unclasp her bra and allow her breasts to come free, their peaks swiftly growing erect as the cool air in the shop touched them.

Krig’s lips pressed against Tamonten’s once more as her hands softly wrapped around the possessed woman’s sides, her earlier dominant display belied by how tender she became when the actual act began. Her tongue pressed past Tamonten’s lips and attacked hers passionately, setting up a dance between them that lasted for several long moments. Krig’s eyes remained closed throughout their long kiss, but her hands were not idle. Tamonten could feel them roaming all over her, exploring her lithe, athletic form in depth. The shredded shirt she wore was swiftly pulled off of her shoulders, and moving slowly and almost experimentally at first one of Krig’s hands settled onto Tamonten’s left breast. The kitsune rubbed her palm against Tamonten’s sensitive nub slowly before taking it between her thumb and forefinger and tugging on it gently, relenting and repeating the motion several times and then increasing or decreasing the pressure that she applied depending on Tamonten’s reaction.

After a while the kitsune’s other hand tugged Tamonten’s pants down, doing so a little bit too forcefully and causing Tamonten some mild discomfort as they came down over her tail. Krig left Tamonten's pants and panties around her knees, her hand slowly gliding along the possessed swordswoman's inner thighs before reaching the meeting point of her leg. Krig's inexperience showed through once more as she rubbed rather ineffectually against Tamonten's outer petals for a moment before finding her engorged clitoris. When she did find it, however, the violet haired kitsune moaned softly into Tamonten's mouth and began to rub it vigorously with her middle and index fingers.

After a few more moments those two fingers shifted forward and slipped into Tamonten's pussy, wriggling around inside of her for a moment before going deeper. Kringlicsly began to piston her digits into her lover slowly but steadily, determining Tamonten's most sensitive spots by the sounds that she made and the way that she squirmed. Tamonten could break free of her silk bonds on a whim, but whether or not she desired to given the pleasure that Krig's inexpert but passionate ministrations were causing her was something she alone could decide. The fox girl's panties were still in place, but she was otherwise totally naked, having removed her shoes with her pants.

Re: Finding Paradise (Hafnium)

The bound woman's heart raced as Kringlicsly joined her in another kiss. She closed her eyes, surrendering herself entirely to the kitsune's desires. Tamonten never even tested her bonds, her head swam as her imagination ran wild. She closed her own eyes, desperately wanting Krig to take her in any way that the violet-haired girl wanted. To let herself go and leave herself entirely in the other woman's hands made her scared, but more than that it made her feel free, and it made her burn with arousal.

She moaned into Krig's mouth as hands roamed over her without anything to impede them, letting the spirit wielder dominate the kiss and her body. Her moans increased in intensity as her nipple was tweaked and pulled roughly several times, playing into her fantasy of being taken by the foxgirl. She became even louder still as she felt her pants roughly shoved down around her knees, further restricting her movement. By the time she was exposed, Tamonten's sensitive lips were puffy with arousal and her inner thighs were smeared with her own juices.

Krig's hand ran across inner legs for what felt like a torturous amount of time before it began to play at her sex. She ground her crotch against the soft hand, greedy for the kitsune's touch. Her lover's inexperience didn't bother the manacled girl in the slightest. Everything else about the situation was too perfect. Helpless before the woman she held such love for, in a situation that her fantasies never could have come close to matching, it was all too much. A legion of skilled and eager faeries couldn't hope to inspire the feelings that the clumsy ministrations of Kringlicsly had on Tamonten.

She pushed herself hard against her lover's fingers as they rubbed at her clitty, trying to get more of the woman's passionate attention. She began to lose track of where she was, beneath the volts of bliss emanating from her crotch at her curvy partner's continued molestation of her. The swordswoman moaned with an increasing disregard for the potential dangers around her. She gasped and arched her back as she was penetrated by the two digits, Kringlicsly's fingers slipping easily into her eager, sopping pussy. The wriggling and testing of the other woman's fingers didn't feel as good on her inner walls as they had against her sensitive nub, but the kitsune's passion more than made up for any loss in sensation.

As the swordswoman's depths were tested, she gently rocked her hips toward the dual invaders, trying to feel more of Krig inside her and against her skin. The other girl's lack of experience really didn't matter at all, as her steadiness and passion brought on the familiar feeling of a building orgasm in Tamonten. The exploratory nature of those fingers' probing wasn't enough to send the pale-skinned girl over the edge alone, though. It continued several moments with Kringlicsly passionately trying to pleasure the bound warrior and the latter getting so close, but never quite far enough.

And then, by chance, the probing fingers brushed over her g-spot. The sudden stimulation of that sensitive ridge was enough to make the warrior jump. Her reaction was a mixture of her both trying to flee from the strange sensation and simultaneously convulsing around Krig's fingers in pleasure. Her eyes shot open and she let out a startled moan. If the spirit wielder continued to toy with the new-found sensitive spot, Tamonten's attempts to remove herself from the sensation faded away entirely, replaced with trying to buck herself against the other woman's hand.

And, if Krig continued to pleasure the swordswoman further, she would bring the latter to an almost warning-less climax. The pale-skinned girl would spasm and let out a low, prolonged groan as the surprisingly fierce orgasm rocked her body. A strange sensation overcame her groin, one that she wouldn't have been used to without having so thoroughly tested her demonic member the day before, as waves of sticky girlcum erupted from her loins, spattering against the kitsune's hand and the floor. Waves of molten ecstasy overwhelmed her, causing her legs to tremble and shake, making her eyes cross, and forcing her, without the ability to bear her own weight, to lean against Kringlicsly and the stand she was bound to for support, likely breaking the kiss in the meantime. It seemed ready to last as long as the spirit wielder continued to lavish attention on her groin.

"Y-you know, Krig," she would start between panting breaths after she had come down from her peak, her face red from both arousal and the powerful orgasm, "You could do whatever you like to me right now... I'm completely vulnerable and at your mercy... And I wouldn't mind..." The words carried less the weight of a suggestion and more that of a person begging for more. Gods do I want more.
