Ok, I'm starting off with the fact that, no I haven't read all of the thread, so I'm now prepared for the HUGE amounts of "Read the frakkin' thread, douche!"

But as well as that, can someone please either tell me how to get this game to work or refer me to a page that tells me? Whenever I double click on the Fairy Fighting application icon it flashes up with a black window then closes after about half a second.

Slightly confused...

Well that's strange because that's a common occurrence when there is a language issue, but I know that this game doesn't require japanese. Don't worry about asking this question because it's not just something about this game, so it wouldn't be expected for you to scroll through this thread for that answer.

What I can suggest is that when you first download it, save the file, don't just open it. After that, extract it out of the zip and make sure everything's all in the same, manageable folder, and that the folder doesn't have a large directory name: The closer it is to the C drive, the better.

So download it to your computer, extract the folder from the zip file. Take that folder, and place it probably on the desktop, so this way you don't get

C:\Documents and Settings\User\My Documents\My Games\My secret folder\Hentai\Hentai games\Fairy Fighting

Nope, doesn't seem to have worked. I moved it here: C:\Users\Bashkire.WindowsUser-PC\Desktop\FairyFighting but it still doesn't play This is what the folder looks like:

Hmm, chopped off the top file, but it's "01EggPlant.stage"

This is the problem.

Specifically, the period between "Bashkire" and "WindowsUser-PC". The Enterbrain fighting game engine doesn't like periods in its path name.

Move the FairyFighting folder to the root directory of your hard drive. So it looks like "C:\FairyFighting".

That and it can be handy to run your language settings in moonspeak/use applocale if you don't like the default controls as the program won't recognise new keys you enter.

Personally I prefer the arrow keys.

no, it "recognizes" the keys you put in, it's just the symbols they use for those keys won't be in english. Switching something to a will successfully change the controls, but it won't say "A"
