"I'm considering going, not just yet. Maybe a few days later. There's been many kinds of rumors about this shadow regent and his complete absence from public issues. If he wants to talk about wartime and military, I'll be interested in hearing him out, as the region's military has a reputation as well."

"That was the plan I had in mind. As is the usual since we've gotten together as a household. If the envoy comes with us, I believe that is a good enough group to get us safely over to the other region." Iliana gave her answer, not having anything in particular to ask for. She had only a few papers left to inspect and possibly write, knowing full well that dinner time was to be closing in on them.

Iris didn't seem to mind taking the chance to stratch out her sword-arm, as the girl had been laying on her back for two months straight. There wasn't that much chores left to do for Nina as she went, almost everything had been done by Lily during her time at town. He was according to the rumours a master of some ancient style of martial art, and had married one of the other Blades upon the breaking of the group, a half-eastern woman who was supposedly an exiled princess or another royal type. The journeys of the Blades had brought much good to the land, but also ended up breaking the group as a few of them started looking for only personal gain.

Once the chatting and dining was over, the green-haired maid helped her colleague get the clearing and cleaning done. Among handling that, she asked Iris for the training, which the girl agreed to with her customary nod. She exchanged hushed words with the mistress as well, suggesting that the tall beauty come and see them train, if in a bit more daring outfit. At first Nina thought that Iris had brought her standard blade to a practise session, but eventually saw that it was a similar sword with it's edge and point filed down to bluntness, still allowing the girl to do her attacks from the scabbard.

Once the sparring bout was suggested, Iris agreed. "That's right, the only true way to development is in combat. Practises help, but they can't truly bring forward the person's skill. Fighting blade to blade is the way to go." Iliana's voice called as the mistress had arrived. Her clothing was revealing as Nina had suggested, being a cut-down version of her usual white business attire. The coat was reduced in size and sleeveless, leaving the mistress' midsection and arms exposed, while also having a much more generous cleavage. Before she could properly recover from the blunt strike, the blind girl stepped forward and struck low, hitting the maid warrior's leg under her shield. Having secured a modest lead, Iris retreated and sheathed her sword again, taunting Nina to come at her with a quick hand gesture before placing the hand over the handle of her blade to prepare for another swipe.

The partners exchanged a round of failed attacks, Iris' draw now getting blocked by Nina's somewhat practised shield, the blind girl parrying the return swipe with her sheath. Now in close quarters, they swiped at each other again, this time succeeding equally. Iris had faith in her sheath after hitting another low sweep towards Nina's other leg and succeeding, but failing to react fast enough to protect herself from the riposte that the green-haired girl had sent her way from the side. The strike connected with the girl warrior's shoulder, but Nina held herself back too, not wanting to hurt the partner she was practising with. After the exchange was through, Iris rolled away, not sheathing her blade this time. Instead, she assumed a semi-defensive position with both blade and scabbard held across her body to prepare for the coming attack.

Nina knew that the speedy Iris made up for her frailty with her dexterity. And she was feeling a little outmatched. But that didn't stop her from keeping up the attack. Having made up a plan to go against Iris' swipe head-on with her shield, Nina moved forward without hesitation. But yet again, the blind girl had her number, as her practise blade did another absurdly sudden change of direction. Iris swung an overhead strike at the maid hiding behind her shield, bonking her on the head with the blunted sword and catching the inevitable counter with her backhanded sheath. Quickly after that, she backed away in preparation for the next attack.

Attempting another lunge, Iris was getting somewhat predictable, and this was something Nina used to try and even the scores. Before the strike could come out properly, the green-haired girl did her best bulldozer impression, tackling Iris back with a shield rush mid-swing but unfortunately missing her follow-up as the nimble girl rolled back. Following this success, both swordgirls managed to even the situation, hitting each other from perceived openings. Now, it looked like the next hit would decide the victor.

Iris assumed her ready stance once more, sheathing the blade for what could be the finish of their sparring match. The girls came at each other with readiness to strike, it was a tense moment to say the least. Having tried multiple times to swing her blade at the winged girl, Nina opted for a stab with her attempt. This proved to a bad decision as Iris spun to her sword side, doing a draw cut mid-spin and tapping the maid lightly to the back of her neck.

Panting from exertion, Nina tried to grin broadly, showing that she could be gracious in defeat. She knew that she was up against a superior opponent, and it had shown.

"You little pipsqueak~" Nina joked, as she let her own sword fall to the ground, followed by her shield. She bowed her head in mock shame in front of Iris.

"But even though you're the better girl with a blade, you're still no match for my cuddle attack! Yahh!"

Nina lunged towards Iris with her arms open wide, wanting to grapple Iris and squeeze the cutie spirit warrior as though she were a big plushie doll. Nina would nuzzle Iris' neck and rub her back beneath her wings, overpowering the girl with her affection.

"And followed up by my tickle attack!" Nina would hoot and giggle as her hugging hands suddenly fiddled up and down Iris' ribcage and tummy. "Hee hee!" Nina eventually subsided her affectionate assault and let Iris go gently.

"Ah well, I really must train harder to be worthy of you, Iris. I won't give up. In the meantime, I suppose you do deserve something as a reward."

She turned to Iliana. "My lady, what should I do to reward Iris for her victory?"

Nina's sudden glomp attack caught Iris by surprise as the girl puzzled over her mocked shame. As the maid warrior grappled and nuzzled her, the blind girl put up a playful struggle to counter, but ultimately didn't make any serious attempts to escape. Most likely the girl liked it. The sudden tickle attack made her do some strange, giggly sounds and a bit more resistance.

Once the affection attack had passed, Iris recovered her training blade from the ground as Nina turned to the mistress for guidance. "Well... during the training we've done together, she really hasn't pointed out to any particular things, just training for the sake of training... If you have something in mind, I suppose you could ask her." came the answer from the flirtatious lady.

Nina appreciated the giggly sounds and was pleased to have put Iris into a happy mood. Doing so was always a win in Nina's opinion, because the girl was often very serious. The maid frowned though when Iliana could offer her no fresh ideas or advice for doing something to reward the girl.

"Say Iris... when you're not training, is there anything at all you like to do for fun?" Nina asked, calling out to her. "If there is, could you show us? I figured, to celebrate you being up and about and back to your kick-butt self, we might do something that you wanted to do..."

Nina scratched her head nervously as she waited for some kind of reaction from the petite girl. "There must be something we can do for you."
